PART ONE – TEMPTATION   第一部份 – 试探

1. The Savior’s warning against temptation 主耶稣关于试探的警告

Every Christian must constantly be on guard against temptation 基督徒必需随时儆醒﹐提防试探。

To ‘Fall into temptation’ is to experience temptation in its most powerful and dangerous form.  “堕入试探” 的意思是﹕经历罪的权势﹐ 是最危险的经历。

To avoid being harmed by such an experience of temptation the believer must learn to ‘watch and pray’.   要避免经历到试探中的失败﹐信徒必需 “儆醒祷告。”

Two types of temptation 两种试探﹕

1. The good kind that God uses is trial; it is also called test.

第一种试探是好的﹐神用这种 “试炼” 在我们身上。

1. Why does God test? 神为什么要试炼我们﹖
   1. Helps believers to know about his spiritual health.

帮助信徒们认识自己属灵的健康状况。

1. Either he is encouraged by fruits that God produced, or

信徒要不是看见神在他身上结出果子而得鼓励﹐

2. He becomes alert of the weaknesses that are manifested. 就是看见自己的弱点显出而得警告。

1. Helps believer to know more about God.帮助信徒更认识神。

Learn that we can only handle things through the grace of God.

让我们学习﹐知道无论面对何事﹐唯靠神的恩典。

1. Ways of testing 试炼的不同方式
   1. God tests people by giving duties that are beyond their own resources. 神会给我们一些责任﹐是超乎我们所能作的。
   2. God tests people by permitting them to suffer for their faith.

神容许信徒为他们的信仰受苦﹐用苦难试炼他们。

• God tests believers by allowing them to meet false teachers or false teaching. Tests the believer’s loyalty toward God.

神也让信徒面对异端与传异教的教师﹐来试炼信徒。

考验信徒对神的忠心。

2. The evil kind of temptation that Satan uses.第二种试探是恶的﹐来自撒但。
   1. Designed to lead a person to sin, and God is never the author of that.

这种试探的目的是要引诱信徒犯罪。神从不给人这种试探。

1. Who are the tempters? 谁试探人﹖
   1. The devil 魔鬼

Puts evil or blasphemous thoughts into one’s mind.

在我们的心思放置邪恶或亵渎的思想。

One has sinned only if he believes, and ponders these thoughts.

我们相信﹐默想这些思想时﹐才是犯罪。

1. The world (including worldly people) 世界(包括属世的人们)

The devil often uses the bait of some attraction of the world to

persuade a person to sin.  魔鬼常用世界的某种吸引作饵。

• The flesh (i.e. selfish desire) 肉体 (自我的欲望)

Devil works through a person’s desires in order to tempt him.

魔鬼用我们的欲望来试探我们。

Christian, on guard!  Temptations bring great harm.   A major aim of temptation is to lead a person into sin, which will harm the spiritual health of a believer.

基督徒﹐提防﹗试探带来莫大的伤害。试探一个重要的目标﹐就是引人犯罪    。犯罪会伤害信徒的灵命。

3. Varieties of temptation  不同种类的试探
   1. Anything that hinder to implementation of the will of God.

任何拦阻我们活出神的旨意的事。

1. Anything that provokes or encourages a person to sin.

任何刺激我们﹐激励我们去犯罪的事。

Almost any desire could be a source of temptation.  It is not sinful in

itself to want such things as an easy life, friends, a good reputation,

etc., but if one put them above the Lord, sin has knocked on the door.

差不多任何的欲望都可能是试探的来源。想有这些东西 – 如舒

服的生活﹐好朋友﹐好声誉等 – 本身并不是犯罪。不过当

我们把这些事放在比神更重要的地位时﹐罪已离我们不远了。

1. Temptation – handle with care! 试探 – 必须谨慎面对﹗

Ponder on the danger of temptation by considering two phrases in the New Testament.

默想新约圣经两段经文﹐好好考虑试探的危险。

1. ‘To enter into temptation’ (Matthew 26:41).  进入试探 (马太福音26﹕41) 。
   1. When temptation gets past ‘the door’ and enters into ‘the room of our heart’, then we ‘enter into temptation.

当试探跨进门框﹐进入到我们的心房时﹐我们已经进入试探了。

1. 1. It means to experience a usual degree of the captivating power of temptation.  意思是﹕经历试探掌握我们生命的力量。
   2. It is easy to dismiss a salesman when he is knocking, but when he gets  past the door, it would be much harder.

推销员还在叩门时﹐拒绝他比较容易。可是他进门后﹐就难得多了。

1. 1. Its sources   试探的来源﹕

1. Satan’s power from the outside. 撒但在外的力量
   1. By intimidation. 透过恐吓

E.g.: Deny Christ, or die!  例﹕不认主罢﹐不然要死﹗

2. By attraction 透过吸引

1. Indwelling sin’s power (sinful desire) from the inside.

从我们里面﹕内住的罪(邪恶的欲望) 的力量。

1. It is like a traitor who live inside of the human kind.

就像在人间的卖国贼。

2. It takes side with the tempter, and persuades one to give in.

他站在试探者的一面﹐游说我们投降。

1. ‘The hour of temptation’ (Revelation 3:10).  试探的时候 (启示录3﹕10) .
   1. When the captivating power of temptation reaches the height of its strength.   当试探掌握我们生命的力量达到高峰时。
   2. Ways that brings temptation to its hour.  试探如何达到高潮的一刻。

1. When Satan frequently present the same temptation to one’s mind to make it dull to that particular sin.

撒但不停放同一个试探在我们的思想里﹐叫我们对那罪麻木。

1. When a person is not responding to a brother’s sin with hatred, and pity toward that person, but with envy. 当弟兄犯罪时﹐我们没有

恨恶那罪﹐没有可怜犯罪的弟兄﹐反而对他嫉妒。

• When temptation is hidden by other considerations that are good in themselves. 当试探隐藏在别的考虑中﹕这些考虑本身是好的﹐正确的。

1. 1. The time of the hour has come.  试探的时刻到了。

1. Whenever temptation presses on all sides (from within and without) to gain the consent of the will to sin.

试探从里外﹐四方八面逼来﹐要我们的意志同意犯罪。

1. When temptation combines the power of fear with the power of attraction. 试探用恐惧的威力与吸引的威力一起来逼我们。

• Note – When one enters into temptation, it is hard to get out. When the time of temptation has come, it is almost impossible to get out, except when God has given the strength to do so.

注﹕一个人进入到试探里面时﹐就很难出来。试探的时刻来临时﹐我们差不多不可能走出来﹐除非神赐力量。

1. To avoid harm from the experience of temptation.

如何避免因经历试探带来的伤害。

1. 1. Need to watch  必须惊醒

To watch means to be on guard, to take heed, to consider to strategy of the enemies used to overwhelm you with temptation.

惊醒就是防备﹐注意﹐考虑仇敌的策略﹐牠如何用引诱克服你。

1. 1. Need to pray  必须祷告

This is the means by which one can receive God’s help to watch as a person should, and to resist Satan’s advances.

我们若要得神的帮助来惊醒﹐来抵挡魔鬼的进攻﹐必须祷告。

1. 1. WATCH AND PRAY TO KEEP OUR SOUL FROM TEMPTATION.

惊醒祷告﹐保守我们的心远离试探。
