Lecture 32 SANCTIFICATION: ITS INITIATION
罗8﹕30
预先所定下的人又召他们来。所召来的人，又称他们为义。所称为义的人，又叫他们得荣耀。
Romans 8:30
and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified.
— 这节经文没有提到成圣。这里保罗讲述从永远到永远的救赎大工。
— This verse omits sanctification. Here, the application of redemption is viewed from eternity to eternity.
- 成圣的主动。Initiation for Sanctification
- 成圣是上帝的工作。Sanctification is a Work of God.
上帝救赎的次序 (ordo salutis) 并没有在成圣这一环被割断。
The chain of ordo salutis is not broken at sanctification.
可是，与信心和悔改一样，我们都有份参与。
But, parallel to faith and repentance, we take part.
(a) 成圣是圣父的工作﹕
Sanctification is a work of God the Father:
弗1﹕4
就如上帝从创立世界以前，在基督里拣选了我们，使我们在祂面前成为圣洁，无有瑕疵。
Eph. 1:4
just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love
帖前4﹕3
上帝的旨意就是要你们成为圣洁，远避淫行。
I Thess. 4:3
For this is the will of God, your sanctification; {that is,} that you abstain from sexual immorality;
帖前4﹕7-8
7 上帝召我们，本不是要我们沾染污秽，乃是要我们成为圣洁。
8 所以那弃绝的，不是弃绝人，乃是弃绝那疵圣灵给你们的上帝。
I Thess. 4:7-8
7 For God has not called us for the purpose of impurity, but in sanctification.
8 So, he who rejects {this} is not rejecting man but the God who gives His Holy Spirit to you.
帖前5﹕23
愿赐平安的上帝，亲自使你们全然成圣。又愿你们的灵，与魂，与身子，得蒙保守，在我主耶稣基督降临的时候，完全无可指摘。
I Thess. 5:23
Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
来13﹕21
在各样善事上，成全你们，叫你们遵行祂的旨意，又借着耶稣基督在你们心里行祂所喜悦的事。愿荣耀归给祂，直到永永远远。阿们。
Hebrews 13:21
equip you in every good thing to do His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom {be} the glory forever and ever. Amen.
(b) 成圣是圣子耶稣基督的工作。
Sanctification is a work of Jesus Christ:
多2﹕14
祂为我们舍了自己，要赎我们脱离一切罪恶，又洁净我们，特作自己的子民，热心为善。
Titus 2:14
who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds.
约17﹕17
求你永真理使他们成圣。你的道就是真理。
John 17:17
“Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.
约17﹕19
我为他们的缘故，自己分别为圣，叫他们也因真理成圣。
John 17:19
“For their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth.
弗5﹕25-27
25 你们作丈夫的，要爱你们的妻子，正如基督爱教会，为教会舍己，
26 要用水借着道，把教会洗净，成为圣洁，
27 可以献给自己，作个荣耀的教会，毫无沾污皱纹等类的病，乃是圣洁没有瑕疵的。
Eph. 5:25-27
25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her,
26 so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of ater with the word,
27 that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless.

所以耶稣， 要用自己的血叫百姓成圣，也就在门外受苦。
Heb. 13:12
Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people through His own blood, suffered outside the gate.
(c.) 成圣是圣灵的工作。
Sanctification is the work of the Holy Spirit:
帖后2﹕13
主所爱的弟兄们啊，我们本该为你们感谢上帝。因为祂从起初拣选了你们，叫你们因信真道，又被圣灵感动成为圣洁，能以得救。
II Thess. 2:13
But we should always give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth.
彼前1﹕1-2
1 耶稣基督的使徒彼得，写信给那分散在本都， 加拉太，加帕多家，亚西亚，庇推尼寄居的，
2 就是照父上帝的先见被拣选，借着圣灵得成圣洁，以致顺服耶稣基督，又蒙祂血所洒的人。远恩惠平安，多多的加给你们。
I Peter 1:1-2
1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who reside as aliens, scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, who are chosen
2 according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, by the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with His blood: May grace and peace be yours in the fullest measure.
平衡经文﹕弗1﹕13-14
13 你们既听见真理的道，就是那叫你们得救的福音，也信了基督，既然信祂，就受了所应许的圣灵为印记。
14 这圣灵，是我们得基业的凭据，直等到上帝之民被赎，使祂的荣耀得着称赞。

13 In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation–having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise,
14 who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of {God’s own} possession, to the praise of His glory.
罗8﹕13-14
13 你们若顺从肉体必要死。若靠着圣灵治死身体的恶行必要活着。
14 因为凡被上帝的灵引导的，都是上帝的儿子。
Rom. 8:13-14
13 for if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
14 For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
了解这项事实的实际好处﹕
Practical value of appreciating this fact:
指人到我们信心创始成终的那位﹕当我们面对自己的时候，不要失望；我们要仰望主，而得到鼓励。
It points people to the source, the captain of our salvation; not to be discouraged when we look to ourselves; but be encouraged when we look to God.
- 成圣以与罪断绝开始。
Sanctification begins with a definite breach with sin.
成圣与称义不可分开。
Sanctification is inseparable from justification.
林前1﹕30
但你们得在基督耶稣里，是本乎上帝，上帝又使祂成为我们的智慧，公义，圣洁，救赎。
I Cor. 1:30
But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption,
— 基督是我们的义（称义的根据），基督是我们的圣洁（成圣的根据），基督是我们的救赎。
— Christ is our justification, our sanctification, our redemption.
来13﹕12
所以耶稣， 要用自己的血叫百姓成圣，也就在门外受苦。
Heb. 13:12
Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people through His own blood, suffered outside the gate.
— 基督以祂的血使我们成圣。
— Christ sanctified us with His blood.
慕理﹕我们 “确定的成圣”。

上帝呼召我们 -> 我们与基督联合 -> 向罪死（罪不再作王，6﹕14），在基督里得生命（确定的成圣）。
CALLING -> UNION WITH CHRIST -> Death to Sin (dethronement of sin, Romans 6:14), Life in Christ (= definitive sanctification)
重生 -> 信心 -> 基督，借着内住的圣灵 -> 成圣（罗7﹕22）
REGENERATION -> FAITH -> Christ, through the Holy Spirit (indwells) -> holiness (Romans 7:22)
罗6﹕14
罪必不能作你们的主。因你们不在律法之下，乃在恩典之下。
Romans 6:14
For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law but under grace.
罗7﹕22
因为按着我里面的意思，我是喜欢上帝的律。
Romans 7:22
For I joyfully concur with the law of God in the inner man,
被重生的人不犯罪，也不能犯罪。
The regenerate man does not sin, and cannot sin.
约壹3﹕9
凡从上帝生的，就不犯罪，因上帝的道存在他心里。他也不能犯罪，因为他是由上帝生的。
I John 3:9
No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
约壹5﹕18
我们知道凡从上帝生的必备不犯罪。从上帝生的必保守自己，那恶者也就无法害他。
I John 5:18
We know that no one who is born of God sins; but He who was born of God keeps him, and the evil one does not touch him.
不要误解（过分简化）这真理。
Do not take this simplistically.
信徒的确犯罪。
Believers DO sin.
我们需要约壹1﹕8-10的提醒。
I John 1:8-10 – may not be appropriate.
约壹1﹕8-10
8 我们若说自己无罪，便是自欺，真理不在我们心里了。
9 我们若认自己的罪，上帝是信实的，是公义的，必赦免我们的罪，洗净我们一切的不义。
10 我们若说自己没有犯过罪，便是以上帝为说谎的。祂的道也不在我们心里了。
8 If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us.
约壹2﹕1
我小子们啊，我将这些话写给你们，是要叫你们不犯罪。若有人犯罪，在父那里我们有一位中保，就是那义者耶稣基督。
I John 2:1
My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous;
约壹4﹕1-4
1 亲爱的弟兄阿，一切的灵，你们不可都信。总要试验那些灵是出于上帝不是。因为世上有许多假先知已经出来了。
2 凡灵认耶稣基督是成了肉身来的，就是出于上帝的。从此你们可以认出上帝的灵来。
3 凡灵不认耶稣，就不是出于上帝。这是那敌基督者的灵。你们从前听见牠要来。现在已经在世上了。
4 小子们哪，你们是属上帝的，并且胜了他们。因为那在你们里面的，比那在世界上的更大。
I John 4:1-4
1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
2 By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God;
3 and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; this is the {spirit} of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world.
4 You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.
— 我们要注意﹕
- 与罪隔绝﹕确定的，实在的，实际上，不只是有隔绝的潜能，不只是暂定的。
Breach with sin = definitive, actual, practical, not just provisional, potential. Not worked up (perfectionism).
- 胜过罪，是所有信徒都拥有的，不只是给一些信徒（第二次祝福）。
Victory belongs to all believers, not just to some (2nd blessing).
- 不只是与我们知道的罪隔绝，而是与罪的权势隔绝。
Breach is not only with known sin, but from the power of sin.
- 重生与确定的成圣有什么不同？
What is the difference between regeneration and definitive sanctification?
它们可分辨，但不要孤立它们。
They are distinguishable, but not isolated.
两者同时发生。
Both occur simultaneously.
从灵所生 / 就是灵。
Born of Spirit / being spirit.
法律上被定罪 -> 堕落
JUDICIAL CONDEMNATION -> DEPRAVITY
不再被定罪 -> 除去堕落的人性﹕
（称义） （确定的成圣）
NO CONDEMNATION -> REMOVAL OF MORAL DEPRAVITY:
(Justification) (Definitive Sanctification)
