Pentecost Marks the Advent of a New Era in Redemptive History
《使徒行传》叙述了一个新的开始。
Acts 2 portrays a new beginning.
圣灵的同在与以前不同。圣灵在旧约也工作，可是不突出，像在新约一般。
The Holy Spirit is present now in a way he was not previously present.
The Holy Spirit was present and active in the Old Testament, but was not in the foreground as He is in the New Testament.
创1:2
地是空虚混沌. 渊面黑暗。上帝的灵运行在水面上。
Gen. 1:2
The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters.
五旬节发生了特殊事件吗？有，不过不是说﹕以前圣灵不在，现在祂与我们同在。 乃是说﹕一个转变﹕以前是暂时的，现在祂永与我们同在。
Did anything distinctive happen at Pentecost? Yes, but not the Holy Spirit’s absence vs. presence. Transition: the temporary falls away->that which is abiding.
加4:6
你们既为儿子, 上帝就差祂儿子的灵, 进入你们(原文作我们) 的心，呼叫阿爸, 父。
Gal. 4:6
Because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!”
— 从像奴隶一样的儿子身分，到成熟的儿子身分。
–From a sonship which can hardly be differentiated from being a bondslave status, to mature sonship.
约1:17
律法本是借着摩西传的, 恩典和真理, 都是由耶稣基督来的。
John 1:17
For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.
- 耶稣基督的教会，是五旬节的教会
The Church of Jesus Christ is a Pentecostal Church
教会的事工 = 靠圣灵的能力而作 （大使命）。
The ministry of the church = in the power of the Spirit (Great Commission).
人接受上帝的话 = 靠圣灵的能力（回转，归主）。
The reception of the word = in the power of the Spirit (conversion).
人的回转，只是教导（大使命）的开始。
Teaching (Great Commission) only begins at conversion.
圣灵在基督里教导人们。基督借着用圣灵充满的人，来管教信徒。
The Holy Spirit teaches men in Christ.
Christ administers His discipline through Spirit-filled men. E.g.:
- 徒5:1-11 – 亚拿尼亚，撒非喇欺哄圣灵。
11 节﹕全教会,和听见这事的人,都甚惧怕。
Acts 5:1-11 – Ananias and Sapphira lied to the Holy Spirit.
Verse 11: And great fear came over the whole church, and over all who heard of these things.
– 圣灵亲自管教教会。The Holy Spirit disciplines the church.

3 我身子虽不在你们那里,心却在你们那里,好像我亲自与你们同在已经判断
了行这事的人，
4 就是你们聚会的时候,我的心也同在,奉我们主耶稣的名,并用我主耶稣的
权能，
5 要把这样的人交给撒但,败坏他的肉体,使他的灵魂在主耶稣的日可以得救.
6 你们这自夸是不好的.岂不知一点面酵能使全团发起来么？
7 你们既是无酵的面,应当把旧酵除净,好使你们成为新团因为我们逾越节的
(羔羊)基督已经被杀献祭了。
I Cor. 5:1-8
3 For I, on my part, though absent in body but present in spirit, have already judged him who has so committed this, as though I were present.
4 In the name of our Lord Jesus, when you are assembled, and I with you in spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus,
5 {I have decided} to deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of his flesh, so that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
6 Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump {of dough?}
7 Clean out the old leaven so that you may be a new lump, just as you are {in fact} unleavened. For Christ our Passover also has been sacrificed.
– 奉基督的名管教教会，就是说﹕以基督的权柄和能力。
– Discipline is in the name of Christ, i.e., in the power and authority of Christ.
– 开除会藉﹕圣灵甚至治死人。
Excommunication – Spirit putting men to death.
- 徒15:28
因为圣灵和我们, 定意不将别的重担放在你们身上. 惟有几件事是不可少的。
Acts 15:28
“For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay upon you no greater burden than these essentials: …”
– 治理性的管教。Administrative discipline.
– 五旬节的教会充满着非超自然性的圣灵恩赐。
– Pentecostal church = abundant with ordinary gifts (not extraordinary gifts).
