Lectures 16-18                  THE TESTIMONY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

26  父阿, 是的, 因为你的美意本是如此.

27  一切所有的, 都是我父交付我的. 除了父, 没有人知道子. 除了子和子愿意指示的, 没有人知道父。

Matthew 11:25-27

25 At that time Jesus said, “I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from {the} wise and intelligent and have revealed them to infants.

26 “Yes, Father, for this way was well-pleasing in Your sight.

27 “All things have been handed over to Me by My Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal {Him.}

— 圣父圣子向人启示有选择性。The Father and the Son reveal discriminately to people.

— 启示的结果﹕人们认识上帝,父上帝。

— Knowledge is the result: knowledge of God, of the Father.

 

太16:17

耶稣对他说, 西门巴乔纳, 你是有福的。因为这不是属血肉 (的)指示你的。乃是我在天上的父指示的。

Matthew 16:17

And Jesus said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Barjona, because flesh and blood did not reveal {this} to you, but My Father who is in heaven.”

— 不是属血肉的向你启示,乃是我的父。

— Flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but my Father did.

  1.     约6:44 –45

44 若不是差我来的父吸引人,就没有能到我这里来的.到我这里来的,末日我要叫他复活。

45 在先知书上写着说,[他们都要蒙上帝的教训]  凡听见父 (之教训学习)的, 就到我这里来。

John 6:44-45

44 “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day.

45 “It is written in the prophets, ‘AND THEY SHALL ALL BE TAUGHT OF GOD.’ Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father, comes to Me.”

— 没有人能到我这里来,除非差我来的父吸引他来。

— No one can come to me except the Father who sent me draws him.

–按照经上所说的。

— As it is written.

— 凡是听见父而学习的,都来到我这里。

— All who hears the Father and learn, come to me.

— 父上帝透过教训来吸引人到祂跟前。

— The Father draws by way of instruction.

–实际事工﹕我们要教导,要从事吸引人来到父面前的教导。

— Practical theology: instruction that draws men to the Father.

约16:13-15

13等真理的圣灵来了, 他要引导你们明白 (原文作进入)一切的真理。

因为不是凭自己说的, 乃是把他所听见的都说出来。 并要把将来的告诉你们。

14  他要荣耀我. 因为他要将受于我的, 告诉你们。

15  凡父所有的, 都是我的, 所以我说, 他要将受于我的, 告诉你们。

John 16:13-15

13 “But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.

14 “He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose {it} to you.

15 “All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose {it} to you.

–圣灵带领;宣讲;宣告(那从基督所受的事)。

— Holy Spirit leads.  Speaks.  Announces.

— 圣灵的教训,来自圣父,圣子;由圣灵执行。

— Teaching of the Holy Spirit is from the Father and the Son, executed by the Holy Spirit.

— 借着五旬节,历史转变。

— Transition in view of Pentecost.

 

约壹 2:20

你们从那圣者受了(恩)膏, 并且知道这一切的事. (或作都有知识)。

I John 2: 20

But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you all know.

 

约壹 2:27

你们从主所受的(恩)膏, 常存在你们心里, 并不用人教训你们,自有主的(恩)膏在凡事上教训你们。这(恩)膏是真的, 不是假的你们要按这(恩)膏的教训, 住在主里面。

I John 2:27

As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him.

–恩膏 = 圣灵的恩 赐。不需要其他教师。

— Anointing = gift of the Holy Spirit.  No need for other teachers.

— 20节圣灵带领信徒进入一切真理。

— Verse 20: Holy Spirit leads believers into all truth.

— 圣者 = 基督。 Holy One = Christ.

— 不需要教师。意思﹕马太16章﹕血肉 vs. 上帝的启示。

— No need for teaching in the sense of Matt. 16 – flesh and blood vs. God.

–这不是说,不需要教会的教导,教师。

— This does not mean there is no need for teaching ministry.

— 这里所指的教导,是超乎人的教导能力,27节。

— The instruction in view here goes beyond any human capacity to teach; cf. verse 27.

  1. 林前 2:4-5

我说的话, 讲的道, 不是用智慧委婉的言语, 乃是用圣灵和大能的明证。 叫你们的信不在乎人的智慧, 只在乎上帝的大能。

I Cor. 2:4-5

4 and my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,

5 so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God.

— 保罗的话语,是圣灵和能力的明证。

— Paul’s word is a demonstration of Spirit and power.

— 依靠圣灵,并没有抹煞人的责任,准备,宣讲。

— Dependence on the Holy Spirit does not lessen responsibility of men to prepare and to preach.

— 人借着宣讲圣灵的道,得到圣灵的能力。

— One lays hold of the power of the Holy Spirit by preaching the Word of the Spirit.

林前2:6-16

6 然而在完全的人中, 我们也讲智慧. 但不是这世上的智慧, 也不是这世上有权

有位将要败亡之人的智慧。

7   我们讲的, 乃是从前所隐藏, 神奥秘的智慧, 就是神在万世以前豫使我们得荣

耀的。

8   这智慧世上有权有位的人没有一个知道的. 他们若知道, 就不把荣耀的主钉

在十字架上了.

9   如 (经上)所记, [上帝为爱他的人所豫备的, 是眼睛未曾看见, 耳朵未曾听见人心也

未曾想到的] 。

10 只有上帝借着圣灵向我们显明了. 因为圣灵渗透万事就是上帝深奥的事也渗透了.

11 除了在人里头的灵, 谁知道人的事. 像这样, 除了上帝的灵没有人知道道上帝的事.

12 我们所领受的, 并不是世上的灵, 乃是从上帝来的灵, 叫我们能知道上帝赐给我们

的事。

13 并且我们讲说这些事, 不是用人智慧所指教的言语, 乃是圣灵所指的言语, 将属灵的话, 解释属灵的事. (或作将属灵的事讲与属灵的人)。

14而属血气的人不领会上帝 (圣)灵的事, 反倒以为愚拙. 并且不能知道因为这些事

惟有属灵的人才能看透。

15 属灵的人能看透万事, 却没有一人能看透了他。

16 谁曾知道主的心去教导他呢. 但我们是有基督的心了。

I Cor. 2:6-16

6 Yet we do speak wisdom among those who are mature; a wisdom, however, not of this age nor of the rulers of this age, who are passing away;

7 but we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, the hidden {wisdom} which God predestined before the ages to our glory;

8 {the wisdom} which none of the rulers of this age has understood; for if they had understood it they would not have crucified the Lord of glory;

9 but just as it is written, “THINGS WHICH EYE HAS NOT SEEN AND EAR HAS NOT HEARD, AND {which} HAVE NOT ENTERED THE HEART OF MAN, ALL THAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM.”

10 For to us God revealed {them} through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God.

11 For who among men knows the {thoughts} of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so the {thoughts} of God no one knows except the Spirit of God.

12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God,

13 which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual {thoughts} with spiritual {words.}

14  But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised.

15 But he who is spiritual appraises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no one.

16 For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, THAT HE WILL INSTRUCT HIM? But we have the mind of Christ.

— 基督徒由圣灵教导。属灵的教师,在灵里教导。10节

— Christians are taught by the Holy Spirit.

— Spiritual teacher teaches in the Spirit.  Verse 10.

–属血气的人不能领受,也不能教导。属灵人领受,属灵人教导。

— The natural man cannot receive it and cannot teach.

— The spiritual man receives and the spiritual man teaches.

林前 12:3

所以我告诉你们, 被上帝的灵感动的, 没有说耶稣是可咒诅的若不是被(圣)灵感动

的, 也没有能说耶稣是主的。

I Cor. 12:3

Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus is accursed’; and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.

林后4:4-7

4 此等不信之人, 被这世界的神弄瞎了心眼, 叫基督荣耀福音的光照们。基督本是神的像。

5  我们原不是传自己, 乃是传基督耶稣为主, 并且自己因耶稣作你们的仆人。

6 那吩咐光从黑暗里照出来的上帝, 已经照在我们心里, 叫我们得神荣耀的光, 显在

耶稣基督的面上。

7 我们有这宝贝放在瓦器里, 要显明这莫大的力, 是出于上帝, 不是出于我们。

II Cor. 4:4-7

4 in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

5 For we do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your bond-servants for Jesus’ sake.

6 For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

7  But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves;

–4节﹕这世界上的神弄瞎了人们的心眼,以致他们不能看见基督荣耀福音的光。

— Verse 4: The god of this age has blinded their eyes, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ.

–上帝是光照人心的那位。光照 = “圣灵的见证” 的比较古旧的说法。

— God is the One who illumines  (lampo).  Illumination = older theological term for testimony.

— 创世记1章﹕圣灵与创造光有关。新约时期﹕同样的关系。

— In Genesis 1, the Holy Spirit is brought into relation with the creation of light; so also in the New Testament.

— 讲道乃敬拜。讲道者高举耶稣基督。听道者则以赞美,认信,与顺服敬拜上帝。

— Preaching is worship.  Preacher lifts up Jesus Christ.  Listeners worship by praising and confessing (homologeo), and by submission which leads to obedience.

帖前1:5 –6

5因为我们的福音传到你们那里, 不独在乎言语, 也在乎权能和圣灵, 并充的信心, 正如你们知道我们在你们那里, 为你们的缘故是怎样为人。

6并且你们在大难之中, 蒙了圣灵所赐的喜乐, 领受真道, 就效法我们,也效法了主。

I Thess. 1:5-6

5 for our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction; just as you know what kind of men we proved to be among you for your sake.

6 You also became imitators of us and of the Lord, having received the word in much tribulation with the joy of the Holy Spirit,

 

帖前2:13

为此, 我们也不住的感谢上帝, 因你们听见我们所传神的道, 就领受了不以为是人的道, 乃以为是上帝的道。这道实在是上帝的, 并且运行在你们信主的人心中。

I Thess. 2:13

For this reason we also constantly thank God that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you accepted {it} not {as} the word of men, but {for} what it really is, the word of God, which also performs its work in you who believe.

-福音不只藉讲道而来,也藉能力与圣灵。

— The gospel came not in word only, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit.

— 讲道者的信念,使听者扎心知罪,认识真理。

— Conviction of preacher passes into truth of hearers.

 

  1. 呼召的教义。Systematic Formulation of the Doctrine
  2. 圣灵作一种教导的工作,称为 『见证』。这见证工作在圣经里也称为启示,教导,领引,说话,光照,明证,显明,能力,等。

There is a teaching operation of the Holy Spirit called “testimony”.  Revelation, teaching, leading, speaking, enlightenment, demonstration, disclosure, power, etc., are Scriptural terms for this operation.

b.这教导的工作超乎人的能力。教导人认识父,子所知道的。

This teaching operation surpasses ability of man.  Father and Son know uniquely.

太16:17

耶稣对他说, 西门巴乔纳, 你是有福的。因为这不是属血肉 (的)指示你的,乃是我在天上的父指示的。

Matt. 16:17

And Jesus said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Barjona, because flesh and blood did not reveal {this} to you, but My Father who is in heaven.”

–血气的,与父上帝的工作对照。

— Flesh and blood is contrasted with activity of the Father.

约6:44-45

44若不是差我来的父吸引人, 就没有能到我这里来的。(到我这里来的), 末日我要叫他复活。

45在先知书上写着说, [他们都要蒙上帝的教训] 。 凡听见父 (之教训.又学习的, 就到我这里来。

John 6:44-45

c.这工作是圣灵的工作。It is the teaching operation of the Spirit.

也可以被理解为圣父,圣子的工作。

It can also be seen as an operation of the Father and the Son.

五旬节以后,这工作主要是圣灵的工作。

After Pentecost, the activity is now pre-eminently the work of the Holy Spirit.

圣灵不仅与保罗同在;保罗倚靠圣灵。

Not only is the Holy Spirit with Paul, but Paul depends on the Holy Spirit.

d.圣灵这工作的结果,是人被光照得到知识,学习。不只是理性

上的知识。这知识带来使人得救的信心,和承认。

The result of the teaching of the Holy Spirit is described as enlightenment, knowledge, learning.  Not purely intellectual: it issues in the confession of saving faith.

这工作是奥秘,人不能解释。

It is ineffable.

我们扎心知罪,对上帝的信念,都来自圣灵的工作。是圣灵教导我们,我们不能靠自己的经历。

The conviction we have is the result of the Holy Spirit’s operation.  It is the Holy Spirit who teaches, not our experience.

圣灵的工作对我们来说是客观的(从外而来的)。

Operation of the Holy Spirit is objective to us.

不错,圣灵的工作是在我们里面的,可是不是主观的。

It is internal, but not subjective.

我们不指向(注目)我们的认罪与信心;我们注目上帝的道,就是圣灵藉祂大能所见证的。

We do not point to our convictions, but to the Word, which is the power of the Holy Spirit.

上帝的话语(圣经)﹕外在,客观的。

SCRIPTURE: External, objective

圣灵的见证﹕内在,客观的(重生之后继续)。

TESTIMONY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT: Internal, objective(continues after regeneration)

圣灵重生我们﹕内在,主观的。

REGENERATION: Internal, subjective

圣灵的工作有拯救人的,和一般的。只有前者才称为圣灵对人的灵的见证。

Difference between a saving and a non-saving operation of the Holy Spirit: only the former (saving operation) is referred to as testimony of Holy Spirit to man’s spirit.

圣灵的见证,也指圣灵赐人得救的确据的工作。

Testimony of the Holy Spirit is also used to refer to the giving of assurance.

后者(得救的确据),乃是圣灵与我们的灵同作见证。前者(呼召时所作的见证)乃是圣灵向我们作见证。

Here it is testimony WITH rather than testimony TO man’s spirit.

e.圣灵的教导是持续的。The teaching of the Spirit abides.

约壹2:27

你们从主所受的 (恩.)膏, 常存在你们心里, 并不用人教训你们自有主的 (恩)膏在凡事上教训你们. 这 (恩)膏是真的, 不是假的你们要按这(恩)膏的教训, 住在主里面.

I John 2:27

As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him.

–圣灵的教导(恩膏)常存在我们心里。

— Teaching of the Holy Spirit abides with you.

–这是我们坚持信心的原因。

— This accounts for the continuity of faith.

 

  1. 教义﹕解释。Exposition of the Doctrine

a.圣灵的见证与圣经的关系。

The relation of the testimony of the Spirit to Scripture.

圣灵的见证不是赐我们圣经以外的真理内容。

The testimony of the Holy Spirit does not convey to us truth content, in addition to what we have in Scripture.

 

帖前2:13

为此, 我们也不住的感谢上帝, 因你们听见我们所传神的道, 就领受了;不以为是人的道, 乃以为是上帝的道。这道实在是上帝的, 并且运行在你们信主的人心中。

I Thess. 2:13

For this reason we also constantly thank God that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you accepted {it} not {as} the word of men, but {for} what it really is, the word of God, which also performs its work in you who believe.

— 圣灵见证圣经的真实性﹕圣经是真理,是上帝所默示的。

— The Holy Spirit testifies to divine character of the Word: the truthfulness, inspiredness of the Word.

这是教义外在(形式上)的一面。

— This is the formal side of doctrine.

神学上一贯强调这方面。

— Theological emphasis has been almost exclusively limited to this formal side regarding conviction.

我们必需记得,我们从圣灵(见证,教导)所领受的,是主基督!

— We should also keep in mind that it is CHRIST who is received.

帖前1:5-6

5 因为我们的福音传到你们那里, 不独在乎言语, 也在乎权能和圣灵, 并充足的信心, 正如你们知道我们在你们那里, 为你们的缘故是怎样为人。

6并且你们在大难之中, 蒙了圣灵所赐的喜乐, 领受真道, 就效法我们,也效法了主。

I Thess. 1:5-6

–福音临到我们,不只藉话语,也以能力与圣灵(的工作)。

— Gospel came not in word only, but in power and Spirit.

–福音是什么?福音是耶稣基督!  不只是一些真理(教义)。

— The Gospel is Jesus Christ.  Not just the formal truth.
— 福音的核心,乃是耶稣基督。

— The heart of the Gospel is Jesus Christ.

— 福音的文本是圣经;福音的能力,由圣灵的见证彰显。

— Scripture is the text of the gospel; power = testimony of the Holy Spirit.

 

约壹2:20

你们从那圣者受了(恩)膏, 并且知道这一切的事. (或作都有知识)。

I John 2:20

But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you all know.

 

约壹2:27

I John 2:27

–恩膏和真理,是两件事。Anointing and truth are distinguished.

— 圣灵所启示的,并没有超过圣灵在圣经所默示的。

— No revelation beyond the text of Scripture.

 

  1. 圣灵的见证与圣经的启示的关系。

Relation of the testimony of the Spirit to the revelation of Scripture.

圣灵的见证,并不是我们信仰与生活的准则。圣经才是这个准则`。

Testimony of the Holy Spirit forms no part in our rule of faith and practice.

Scripture is this rule.

ii.圣灵的见证与圣经的默示的关系。

Relation of the testimony of the Spirit to the inspiration of Scripture.

错误的想法﹕圣灵教导我们圣经是上帝所默示的;其他的教义,乃是从圣经而得,不需要圣灵的内在见证。

WRONG: the Holy Spirit teaches us that the Word of God is inspired; rest of doctrine = derived from the Bible without reference to the Holy Spirit’s internal testimony.

圣经是自证(自我见证)的。我们所信的,关于圣经的默示的教义,都从圣经的自我宣称而来。

The Bible is self-attesting.  Our doctrine of inspiration = derived from what the Bible says about itself.

可是﹕我们知道,相信圣经的默示这教义,因为圣灵同圣经作证。

But, this doctrine, like every other doctrine, is known and believed because it was attested to by the Holy Spirit.

iii.圣灵的见证与圣经的权威的关系。

Relation of the testimony of the Spirit to the authority of Scripture.

(形式方面)圣经有自己的权威,因为圣经的形式是﹕圣经由被默示的字所形成。

Formal view of authority: Authority of the Bible comes by the form in which the Bible comes to us: it is made up of inspired words.

(内容方面)圣经有权威,因为圣经的内容乃是耶稣基督。

Material view of authority: Authority of the Bible comes by the content of the Bible, i.e.: Jesus Christ.

为什么会有两难?形式方面的权威﹕圣经的作者(圣灵)-> 字是默示的。

Why a dilemma?  Formal view: Author of Scripture -> words = inspired.

巴特﹕尝试为圣经的权威辩护。上帝的话语的真理性,不在圣经的字句,因为真理是事件,真理是事件(不是字,不是理念,不是命题)。因此权威来自人的经历。

Barth tries to hold together authority of Scripture and freedom from critical attacks.  The truth of the Word of God is not so much in the words, truth is an event, it happens.  Authority = human experience.

圣灵的内在见证,并没有向上帝的话赋予权威。

Internal testimony does not, by the Holy Spirit, impart authority on God’s Word .

事实上﹕圣灵的内证让我们认知﹕圣经的权威来自圣经本身。

Rather, the internal testimony of the Holy Spirit allows us to recognize that the authority does reside in the Word.

iv.圣灵的见证与圣经的正典的关系。

Relation of the testimony of the Spirit to the canon of Scripture.

法国信仰告白,1559,第四条。French Confession of 1559, Article 4.

圣灵乃是圣经的作者,祂按照自己的美意以大能教导圣经 ->教会对圣经的意识,就是正典;正典不是靠正式会议的决定。

The Holy Spirit who is the author of the Bible, is pleased to teach the Bible in power -> consciousness in Church functions as canon without conscious decision.

  1. 圣灵的见证与讲道(福音的呼召)的关系。

The relation of the testimony of the Spirit to preaching (or gospel call).

圣灵的见证并不取代讲道的必须性。

Testimony of the Holy Spirit does not supplant need to preach.

圣灵的能力,乃是保罗讲道的动力(能力的来源)。

The Holy Spirit’s power is dynamic for Paul’s ministry.

 

帖前1:5 –6

c.圣灵的见证与得救确据的关系。

The relation of the testimony of the Spirit to Assurance of Faith.

 

罗8:15-16

15你们所受的不是奴仆的心, 仍旧害怕. 所受的乃是儿子的心.因此我们呼叫阿爸, 父.

16圣灵与我们的心同证我们是上帝的儿女.

Rom. 8:15-16

15 For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!”

16 The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God.

— 这是圣灵在我们里面的内证(与圣灵在上帝的话语里的见证有别)。

— This is internal testimony (as distinct from the testimony within the Word).

圣灵与我们的灵作见证,告诉我们我们被上帝收养,是上帝的儿女。

The Holy Spirit bears witness with our Spirit concerning our sonship and adoption.

我们要得得救的确据,必须仰望基督﹕透过恩具(上帝的话,与圣礼)。

For assurance we look to Christ – through means of grace (Word and Sacraments).

圣灵用恩具做工。The Holy Spirit works with means of grace.

 

d.圣灵的见证与重生的关系。

圣灵的见证与重生不同。

圣灵的见证是客观,而内在的。

Testimony of the Holy Spirit – objective, internal.

我们由圣灵重生﹕重生是主观,内在的。

Regeneration by the Holy Spirit – subjective, internal.

圣灵内在的见证﹕就是重生里,理性(改变我们的思念)的层面。

Internal testimony of the Holy Spirit = simply the noetic aspect of regeneration (Warfield on Calvin). Response to Warfield: There is noetic aspect (Acts 16:14).

 

徒16:14

有一个卖紫色布疋的妇人, 名叫吕底亚, 是推雅推喇城的人, 素来敬拜上帝。她听见了, 主就开导她的心, 叫她留心听保罗所讲的话.

Acts 16:14

A woman named Lydia, from the city of Thyatira, a seller of purple fabrics, a worshiper of God, was listening; and the Lord opened her heart to respond to the things spoken by Paul.

— 这思想的部份,并不是圣灵内证的全部。

— But this does not exhaust internal testimony of the Holy Spirit.

–不然,我们不能说到圣灵对圣经的见证,和圣灵在我们里面的见证。

— Because otherwise we cannot speak of the testimony of Scripture AND the testimony of the Holy Spirit.

— 印证,明证,启示﹕这些圣灵的工作,都不只是祂在我们里面主观的改变我们。

— Confirmation, demonstration, revelation – it is more than subjective renewal.

福音是上帝的大能,要救人。

Gospel = power of God unto salvation.
这能力与上帝的话有别,不过与上帝的话同工。

Power = distinct from the Word, but works with the Word.

血气不能启示﹕属血气的人不能领受。

Flesh and blood cannot reveal – Natural man cannot receive.

作证的乃是圣灵﹕属灵的人能领受。

The Spirit testifies: Spiritual man receives.
