按名呼召 神的创造 按照神的名蒙召

《天命与你》第一讲，《天命与你》其实这个英文的书名，可以这样翻译：蒙召传道，蒙召传道。
现在我先读一读这本书作者的简介，在中文翻译本的封面的里面，克罗尼教授Edmund P. Clowney，1917年7月30号出生于美国(Philadelphia)费城。1939年，就是22岁毕业于惠顿大学或者惠顿学院(Wheaton College)在芝加哥的西郊。1942年毕业于威敏斯特神学院道学学士(bachelor of divinity)。
这个道学学士就相等于今天的道学硕士。而且呢，今天的道学硕士越来越不值钱了，这个毕业的要求越来越降低。当时读大学之后，不论是读神学、医学、法律，读完大学之后再念神学、医学、法律，都是拿学士的，就表明了这三个专业的是很受尊敬，读完大学去读还是拿学士的。
1944年过了两年，毕业于耶鲁大学的神学院(Yale Divinity School)，拿到神学硕士，神学硕士就是有了这个道学学士的学位之后，念的硕士。之后在纽约协和神学院研究。也就是说，他在耶鲁大学跟纽约哥伦比亚大学旁边的协和神学院的、这两所的很出名的自由派的神学院，都做过研究或者是学习。
1942年，神学本科毕业的时候，（他）就被按立做牧师了。所以，当他在耶鲁大学念神学硕士的时候，就开始牧会。先后在耶鲁大学附近的康乃狄克州，因为耶鲁大学的那个州(Connecticut)，伊利诺斯州(Illinois)跟纽泽西州(New Jersey)。纽泽西州就在纽约的协和神学院，过桥就是。所以他在纽约的附近，还有伊利诺州，就是芝加哥附近的，都在正统长老会(Orthodox Presbyterian Church)牧过会。
过了这八年到十年的牧会和研究院之后呢，1952年就到了威敏斯特神学院教书。到了1952年，1966年就任威敏斯特神学院的院长。请注意，在克罗尼之前那是没有院长的，就是说是由教授们集体的管理，有董事会，没有院长。后来就采取院长制，他是第一位，而且是实用神学或者实践或者是教牧神学的教授。
在1982年之后，他就退休了。82或者前后，到了84年开始，在他很爱的一位的学生，也是我们当时学生会的主席Skippe Ryan，他所牧养的Charlottesville Virginia the trinity Presbyterian church 的三一长老会那里，他做副牧师。就是说，他很自由的做一些教导，他不需要牧会，不需要负责长期的讲道。在那里作为驻会的神学家多年。在这段时期，也在加州的威敏斯特神学院也任教过。
那最后，应该是，对不起，我记不起了，是1990年代哪一年去世的。
好，现在我们来看这本书，英文的版本，目前的版本封底有几句话，what is Christ’s calling to you? 耶稣基督对你的呼召是什么呢？you may be seeking and answer可能你在追求这个问题的答案；you may be avoid the question可能你在逃避这个问题。When the Lord calls, he will be answered. 但是，当主呼召的时候，他必然有所回应到。
God’s call Came suddenly to elisha who was playing the field when elijah cast prophet paletot on him. 上帝的呼召，突然之间来到以利沙，当时他在耕田。
And Peter, who was holding a fishing net when Jesus called him 当主耶稣呼召彼得的时候，他手上拿着的是渔网。
What does the bible say about Christ’s calling today? 圣经如何教导我们？基督今天是如何呼召的呢？we are told the Lord’s called by name圣经告诉我们，耶和华上主是给我们，我们的名字，按着我们的名字呼召我们的。
And every Christian has his or her own calling而每一位基督徒都有他自己从神而来的呼召。The calling is a child of God and a servant of God我们的呼召是做神的儿女、做神的仆人。
In this timeless book这本是超时间的一本书，经得起时间的考验的书。Clowney addresses the question of how the Lord calls us today克罗尼就回答这个问题，主耶稣基督今天是如何呼召我们的。
Christ spoken word no longer sounds by the lake of galilee今天主耶稣的这个话，已经不再在加利利湖边听得到。but He had not left disciples without direction可是，耶稣基督并没有撇下祂的门徒，没有指导。
我们开始来看这本书introduction前言：What is Christ’s calling to you？基督对你的呼召是什么呢？you may be seeking and answer, you maybe avoiding the question你可能在寻求答案，你可能在逃避这个问题。but when the Lord calls, he will be answered，但是，主若呼召，祂必然会得到答复的。
God’s call cames suddenly to Elisha，上帝突然之间将祂的呼召临到以利沙。He was planting a field when Elijah cast the prophet mental on him当以利沙还在耕田的时候，以利亚就把自己的外衣搭在以利沙的身上。Levi was in a toll booth利未是在收税的摊子那里；and Peter had a fishing net彼得手上拿着的是渔网，when Jesus called耶稣就在那时刻呼召了他们。
But how does the Lord call today? 可是主今天是如何呼召人的呢？you have not been blinded by a heavenly light on the road to Damascus我们今天并没有大马色路上的光，使你瞎眼。But you are ready to say with Saul Tarsus’ 但是你和大数的扫罗一样的，准备好要说Lord, what wouldst thou have me to do？主啊，你愿意我做什么呢？
How does the Lord answer that question主又如何回答这个问题呢？
To beginning with首先it is clearly that the answer must come from the Lord Himself很明显的是，这个问题的答案必须由主亲自来回答。self- esteem 自我形象，自尊心。And popular acclaim别人怎么称赞我们，A treacherous indicators这些的指标都是滑落的、危险的，甚至是诡诈的。
Christ’s spoken word no longer sounds like at galilee今天耶稣基督所讲的话，不再在加利利海边听得到。but he has not left his disciples without direction可是，耶稣并没有撇下祂的门徒，不给他们知道。We have his written word in the Bible我们有耶稣基督所写下来的话在圣经里。
Through the prophet and apostles透过先知们、使徒们，Christ’s Spirit has testified of him基督的灵已经为基督作见证。或者the road forks有差落的时候，the word of God is the lamp for our feet神的话就是我们脚前的灯。
What does the Bible say about Christ’s calling？圣经如何说呢？基督是如何呼召我们的呢？ we are told that the Lord calls us by name圣经告诉我们，主按着我们的名字，呼召我们。every christian has his or her own calling每一位基督徒都有他/她自己呼召的。a calling as a child of God and servant of God，我们的呼召就是要做神的儿女，要做神的仆人。
Our calling by name gives us our identity and our tasks 上帝按照我们的名字呼召我们，就给了我们的身份和我们的工作，或者任务了。We first must consider the Lord’s calling of every christian首先，我们这本书里考虑到，上帝对每一位基督徒的呼召是什么？Then we should examine what the new testament says about the calling of the minister of the gospel.然后我们要研究新约圣经如何说、上帝如何呼召传道的牧者和传道人，ministry of the gospel
这本书有第一部分和第二部分。
Part one第一部分 What is God’s calling? 神的呼召是什么？
Part two第二部分 What is God’s calling to the ministry?神对传道的呼召又是什么？
Part one，What is God’s calling? 什么是呼召？
第一章chapter one，called by name, calling is God’s creative gift。按照名字被呼召，神的呼召是神创造性的恩赐。Do you understand your calling? consider what you are called你若要了解你的呼召，首先考虑你是如何被称呼的。

What is your name，your real name你的名字是什么？你真正的名字是什么？that name may not appear on your driver’s license那个真的名字可能不出现在你的驾驶执照上。Centuries have passed since English names describe men’s vocations曾几何时，英文的名字是描述人的职业的，那些日子已经老早过了。
George baker became a plumber without becoming a plumber baker这个就是烤面包师，他的，可能是他的姓氏是烤面包的。当他转到做水壶工程的时候，他的姓氏不需要改成plumber，不需要改成修理水壶的工人。And we have no Charlie astronauts or even Jack druggists英文的姓氏没有太空人或者是药剂师。
A son bears his father’s name, whether it is Robert Johnson or simply Smith. 儿子继承了父亲的姓氏，无论是什么。he also has given name。除了姓氏以外，每个人有他父母亲给他的名字that his father or mother chose for him他的父亲或者母亲为他选的。
What’s in a name？一个名字包含了什么意义？the answer depends on whose name you bear 那这个答案呢，就在乎于你所穿戴上的、你带着谁的名字and who does the naming？而且是谁命名的？
Is son may be proud of his father’s name一个儿子可能对他父亲的名字引而为荣。A new bright may find unusual meaning in Mrs Robert Jones.一个新娘，可能现在换了她丈夫的姓氏，而感觉到有很特殊的意义。
Yet our names have become conventional可是现在我们对名字已经太过了习惯了。having no meaning in themselves我的名字往往对我们来说都没有本质上的意义。
Literary fancy may name a boy Cassius prudence maybe for prefer modern in the hope that uncle Morton maybe revise his will.有人在文学上有很有的想象力，所以从文学找到一个男孩子的名字。或者就是有一些的父母就很谨慎，命名儿子叫Mortonmer，希望那个老叔叔Mortonmer，会修改他的遗嘱，把更多的遗产给这个孩子Mortonmer.
But usually our names mean nothing all。但是很多时候，通常我的名字是没有什么特别意思的，not so when God names man，上帝为人命名，却不是如此了。
When God calls by name that name is his calling，当神按着名字，呼召人的时候，那个名字，就是这个人的呼召。your real name is the name God had given you，你真正的名字是上帝给你的名字。understand that name你要了解那个名字and your vocation is set before you，这样子，你的职业你的前途就向你显明了。
You have two Christian names你有两个基督徒的名字的，and both of those names are given这两个名字都是赐给你的。那这个given这个字呢，我们的老师，院长很会用双意的，双元的。就是说given name前面讲的，given name是什么呢？就是不是姓氏，是名字，姓名那个名。
他说你有两个名字都是given name，都是名字。Of these God given names. 这两个上帝所给的名字之中呢，the last always comes first，姓氏或者后面的，当然是排在前面的。And every Christian person每一位基督徒身上都有这个last name，这个后面的名字的。That name marks you as a son of God，这个名字是一个标志，指出你是神的儿子。
For it is God own name，因为这个是上帝自己的名字。以赛亚书43章六节下到第七节，Isaiah forty-three six b and seven. 我就不读英文了，“将我的众子从远方带来，将我的众女从地极领回，就是凡按着我的名被召的人，是我为自己的荣耀创造的，是我所做成所造作的。”
Hey! called by God’s name按照神的名，被呼召，按照神的名字，被呼召。Every Christian has had God’s name solemnly given to him每一位基督徒都有上帝的名字，很严肃的给了他。he has been baptized in the name of the Father ,the Son and Holy Ghost每一位基督徒都是受洗归入到圣父、圣子、圣灵的名里面的。whenever he goes to church每次基督徒去教会的时候，the triune name of God is pronounced upon him again in the blessing of the benediction他就听到三一真神的名字，在祝福的时候被宣告，被宣告在他的身上。
In commanding the blessing of his name to be used by the old testament priests. God said, so shall they put my name upon the children of Israel and I will bless them。 Number 6:27.
当上帝吩咐旧约的祭司们，要用祂的名字来祝谢或者祝福的时候，上帝说Number six twenty seven民数记第6章27节，你们要如此奉我的名，为以色列人祝福，我也要赐福给他们。
我来再读一次英文，我再来解意，So shall they shall put my name upon the children of Israel他们就是祭司们呢，就要这样子，将我的名字放在以色列的后裔的身上，and I will bless them，我也要赐福给他们。
我再讲一次，祭司们要将我的名放在以色列人的身上，我耶和华也要赐福给他们this is the first question of your calling关于你的呼召，这个是第一个要问的问题。
Do you wear God’s name? 你身上有没有穿戴着神的名字呢？
In the old testament’s temple，在旧约的圣殿里。The priest wore a golden plate in this pileum祭司们呢，在他的头冠上呢，带着一个金牌的。Carrying the inscription，上面写着Holiness and to the Lord归耶和华为圣。
In the heavenly Mount Zion of John’s vision在约翰的异象中，在天上的锡安山上，The things of Christ have his name and his father’s name written on the foreheads (Revelation 14 :1)。基督的圣徒们有基督的名字，还有父神的名字写在他们的额头上的，启示录14章第一节。
John sees one grim alternative(Revelation 13:16)，约翰也看到另外一个狰狞的一幅的图画。The mark of the satanic beast on the forehead of small and great、 rich and poor、 free and bond就是那个撒旦、那个兽的印记，在大的、小的、富有的、贫穷的、自由的、奴隶的人的额头上（启示录13章16节）。
It must come to that我们必须要面对这个问题的。Neutral anonymity is not possible for men made in God’s image人是按着神的形象造的，所以很中立的说我没有名字、匿名，是不可能的。he must worship or blaspheme人必须敬拜真神或者亵渎真神。
Salvation means, but God writes his name on your head , your hand , your heart得救的意思就是上帝将祂的名字写在你的头上，写在你的手上，写在你的心版上。He makes His name yours by making you his上帝使你成为属祂的，祂就将祂的名字成为你的名字。当你属神的时候，祂的名字就是你的名字了。His calling comes with power上帝的呼召随大能的临到人的。
Ezekiel saw a mass grave of the people of God以西结看到上帝指明那个，多人的坟墓，Dry bones, death valley all about him.在他周围都有枯骨，充满着这个死亡的山谷。
But the prophet was moved to cry上帝感动先知以西结这样的呼喊说: All the dry bones heard the word of the Lord枯骨啊，枯干的骸骨啊，要听，主耶和华的话。and there was a resurrection before his eyes复活，就在他的眼前发生了。
God is not God of the dead神不是死人的神，but of the living神是活人的神。His name is life神的名字就是生命，或者神的名字就带来生命。
Christ’s call reaches Zacchaeus curiously perched in a sycamore tree当撒该还在桑树上蹲着看耶稣的时候，基督的呼召就临到了他，Zacchaeus，come down撒该，下来。
It reached Lazarus hopelessly in a tomb当拉撒路毫无盼望在坟墓里面，在一个关上的坟墓里面，已经死的时候，耶稣的呼召临到他。Lazarus，come for，拉撒路，出来。
Has that call reached you基督的那个呼召临到了你了吗？there is no call to the ministry that is not first call to Christ基督不会呼召一个人传道，除非祂首先呼召他来到基督的面前的。
You dare not lift your hands to place God’s name and blessing on his people. until you have first class them in penitent petition for saving grace除非你首先，你的手紧握着基督的手。忏悔、祈求祂的拯救的大恩，不然的话，你不敢举起你的手，来奉上帝的名向祂的子民祝福。首先你的手先抓住耶稣基督，不然你不敢举起你的手，来为神的子民祝福的，until you have done that除非你做了这个，直到那日。
The issue you face is not really you called to the ministry你要面对的问题，不是有否呼召传道。it is called Christ。你要面对的是，来到基督面前那个呼召。don’t seek the ministry to save your soul你不要为了拯救自己的灵魂而追求传道。
The Lord commits the gospel to the keeping of those who have committed themselves keeping(2 timothy提后1:12-14) 上帝把福音交托给谁，来做执事来作管家呢？就是那些已经把自己交托了给主耶稣来保存的人。
提摩太后书第一章12节，还有第14节，提后一章第12节和第14节。第12节，为这个缘故，我也受这些苦难，然而我不以为耻，因为知道我所信的是谁，也深信祂能保全我所交付祂的，直到那日。14节，然后呢，从前所交托你的，基督所交托你的善道，你要靠着那住在我里面的圣灵，牢牢地守住。基督交托福音，是因为人先把自己交托给祂。
