Promises Seem Far Away<\/strong><strong>\u2014\u2014<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Abraham<\/strong><strong>\u2019s Journey of Faith Message of No.8<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u4e9a\u4f2f\u62c9\u7f55\u7684\u4fe1\u5fc3\u4e4b\u65c5\u7b2c\u516b\u7bc7\u7684\u4fe1\u606f\uff1a<\/strong><strong>\u300e<\/strong><strong>HOW WONDERFUL IS HIS LOVE<\/strong><strong>\uff01HOW GREAT IS HIS FAITHFULNESS\u4ed6\u7231\u591a\u5947\u5999\uff0c\u4fe1\u5b9e\u548c\u5e7f\u5927\uff01<\/strong><strong>\u300f<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u4e3b\u8bb2\uff1a\u6797\u6148\u4fe1\u7267\u5e08<\/strong><strong>_<\/strong><strong>\u6821\u5bf9\uff1a\u5218\u52a0\u7acb\u5f1f\u5144<\/strong><strong>_<\/strong><strong>\u6587\u5b57\uff1a\u8303\u5f1f\u5144<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u7eb5\u89c8OVERVIEW\uff1a<\/strong>Now let us look at Chapter 15\u73b0\u5728\u6211\u4eec\u6765\u770b\uff08\u300a\u521b\u4e16\u8bb0\u300b\uff09\u7b2c\u5341\u4e94\u7ae0\uff1aThis is how God give Abraham <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">the <\/span>assurance of his promises\u4e0a\u5e1d\u662f\u8fd9\u6837\u5b50\u628a\u786e\u636e\u7ed9\u4e9a\u4f2f\u62c9\u7f55\u7684\u3002In verse 9\uff1aGod instructed Abram to bring certain animals and Abram knew exactly what to do\uff1aHe cut them in half except for the birds\u7b2c9\u8282\uff1a\u4e0a\u5e1d\u8bf4\u8981\u628a\u4e00\u4e9b\u52a8\u7269\u5e26\u6765\uff0c\u4e9a\u4f2f\u62c9\u7f55\u5b8c\u5168\u77e5\u9053\u662f\u8981\u505a\u4ec0\u4e48\u4e8b\u7684\uff1b\u4ed6\u5c31\u628a\u5b83\u4eec\u5288\u5f00\u6210\u4e24\u534a\uff0c\u9664\u4e86\u9e1f\u6ca1\u6709\u5288\u5f00\u3002The birds of prey came and Abram drove them away\u6709\u98de\u9e1f\u4e0b\u6765\uff0c\u8981\u5403\u90a3\u4e2a\u6b7b\u7684\u52a8\u7269\u7684\u8089\uff0c\u4e9a\u4f2f\u62c9\u7f55\u628a\u4ed6\u4eec\u8d76\u8d70\u3002<strong>Then the sun went down, a deep sleep fell on Abram<\/strong>\u2014\u2014verse 12\uff08\u300a\u521b\u4e16\u8bb0\u300b\u7b2c\u5341\u4e94\u7ae0\uff0912\u8282\uff1a<strong>\u65e5\u843d\u6709\u5927\u9ed1\u6697\uff0c\u4e9a\u4f2f\u62c9\u7f55\u6c89\u7761\u4e86\u3002<\/strong>And then God spoke to Abram\uff0cfrom verse 13 to verse 16\u4ece\uff08\u300a\u521b\u4e16\u8bb0\u300b\uff09\u7b2c13\u8282\u523016\u8282\uff0c\u4e0a\u5e1d\u5411\u4e9a\u4f2f\u5170\u8bf4\u8bdd\uff1band He told Abram what was going to happen in the next four hundreds plus years\u4e0a\u5e1d\u9884\u544a\u5c06\u6765400\u591a\u5e74\u4f1a\u53d1\u751f\u4ec0\u4e48\u4e8b\uff1aAbram\u2019s descendants would be oppressed\u4e9a\u4f2f\u62c9\u7f55\u7684\u540e\u88d4\u8981\u88ab\u538b\u8feb\u7684\uff0cbut then God will rescue them\u4e0a\u5e1d\u8981\u642d\u6551\u4ed6\u4eec\u3002And therefore Abraham himself\uff0cGod promised him his peace for death\u800c\u5bf9\u4e9a\u4f2f\u62c9\u7f55\u4ed6\u81ea\u5df1\u5462\uff0c\u4e0a\u5e1d\u8bf4\u4ed6\u5fc5\u5b9a\u5e73\u5e73\u5b89\u5b89\u7684\u53bb\u4e16\u3002<\/p>\n<p>Now we come to verse 17\u73b0\u5728\u6211\u4eec\u6765\u5230\u7b2c17\u8282\u4e86\uff1aThe sun has gone down and it was dark\uff08\u300a\u521b\u4e16\u8bb0\u300b\uff0917\u8282\uff1a\u65e5\u843d\u5929\u9ed1\u3002And now we will read a smoking firepot and a flaming torch\u6211\u4eec\u8bfb\u5230\uff0c\u6709\u4e00\u4e2a\u5192\u70df\u7684\u7089\u548c\u70e7\u7740\u7684\u706b\u628a\u3002And these two things went through or between the pieces of animal meat\u8fd9\u4e24\u4e2a\u4e1c\u897f\u4ece\u8fd9\u4e9b\u8089\u5757\u4e2d\u7ecf\u8fc7\u3002And Bible says in verse 18\uff08\u300a\u521b\u4e16\u8bb0\u300b\uff0918\u8282\uff0c\u5723\u7ecf\u8bf4\uff1aIn this way on that day\uff0cGod made a covenant with Abram\u5728\u90a3\u5929\u8036\u548c\u534e\u4e0e\u4e9a\u4f2f\u5170\u7acb\u7ea6\u7684\u3002<\/p>\n<p><strong>IV.THE MEANING OF THE COVENANT INAUGURATION CEREMONY<\/strong><strong>\u8fd9\u4e2a\u8bbe\u7acb\u5723\u7ea6\u7684\u4eea\u5f0f\u7684\u610f\u4e49<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>What is the meaning of this ceremony\u8fd9\u4e2a\u4eea\u5f0f\u7684\u610f\u4e49\u662f\u4ec0\u4e48\u5462\uff1fAbram knew this ceremony\u2014\u2014it was familiar to him\u4e9a\u4f2f\u62c9\u7f55\u77e5\u9053\u8fd9\u4e2a\u4eea\u5f0f\u662f\u600e\u4e48\u4e00\u4ef6\u4e8b\uff0c\u6240\u4ee5\u4ed6\u662f\u5f88\u719f\u6089\u7684\u3002In the ancient Near East, this was the way two parties went to make a covenant\u5728\u53e4\u8fd1\u4e1c\u65f6\u4ee3\uff0c\u4e24\u65b9\u9762\u7acb\u7ea6\u7684\u65f6\u5019\u5f80\u5f80\u7528\u8fd9\u4e2a\u4eea\u5f0f\u7684\u3002It is a self-maledictory oath\u8fd9\u4e2a\u662f<strong>\u4e00\u79cd\u7684\u81ea\u6211\u5492\u8bc5\u7684\u4e00\u79cd\u7684\u7acb\u7ea6<\/strong>\u3001\u4e00\u79cd\u8a93\u7ea6\u3002Usually both parties would walk through the pieces of the animal meat\u4e00\u822c\u6765\u8bf4\u7acb\u7ea6\u7684\u53cc\u65b9\u90fd\u4f1a\u4ece\u8fd9\u4e9b\u6b7b\u7684\u8089\u5757\u4e2d\u95f4\u8d70\u8fc7\u7684\u3002<\/p>\n<p>We know that in 18th century BC\uff0cthere was a covenant made in Syria\u6211\u4eec\u77e5\u9053\u5728\u4e3b\u524d\u5341\u516b\u4e16\u7eaa\uff0c\u5728\u53d9\u5229\u4e9a\u6709\u7acb\u7ea6\uff1aAbba-EI-I says he was bound to Yarim-lim-II\uff08\u963f\u52d2\u9887\u96c5\u59c6\u54c8\u5fb7\u738b\u671d\u7684\u6c49\u7a46\u62c9\u6bd4\u4e00\u4e16\u7684\u5927\u513f\u5b50\u963f\u5df4\u00b7\u57c3\u52d2\u4e00\u4e16\u7ee7\u627f\u738b\u4f4d\uff1b\u4e8c\u513f\u5b50\u83b7\u5f97Irridu\u57ce\u90a6\u7684\u7edf\u6cbb\u6743\uff09\u2014\u2014\u6709\u4e24\u65b9\u900f\u8fc7\u53d1\u8a93\u7acb\u7ea6He made an oath to the second party\u3002And he had cut the throat of a sheep\u4ed6\u5c31\u628a\u4e00\u53ea\u7f8a\u7684\u5589\u5499\u628a\u5b83\u5207\u5f00\u4e86\u3002In 15th century BC\u5728\u4e3b\u524d\u5341\u4e94\u4e16\u7eaa\uff0cin Qatna\uff0cthere were cuneiform texts\u201cto cut a covenant.\u201d\uff08\u5361\u7279\u7eb3\u4e3a\u4e9a\u6469\u5229\u57ce\u90a6\uff0c\u6954\u5f62\u6587\u672c\uff09\u5f53\u65f6\u6709\u201c\u7acb\u7ea6\u201d\u8fd9\u4e24\u4e2a\u5b57\u539f\u6587\u662f\u201c\u5951\u201d\u2014\u2014\u201c\u5951\u5165\u201d\u7684\u201c\u5951\u201d\u2014\u2014\u5951\u7ea6\u3002Also\uff0cHebrew\u3001Aramaic\u3001Phoenician texts\u4e0d\u4f46\u5728\u90a3\u4e2a\u5730\u65b9\uff0c\u5e0c\u4f2f\u6765\u6587\u3001\u4e9a\u5170\u6587\u7b49\u7b49\u90fd\u6709\u8fd9\u7c7b\u7684\u7ecf\u6587\uff08\u6954\u5f62\u6587\u672c\uff09\u7684\u3002And then in 8th century BC in Mari\u5230\u4e86\u4e3b\u524d\u7b2c\u516b\u4e16\u7eaa\u5728\u9a6c\u91cc\u8fd9\u4e2a\u5730\u65b9\uff0cat the conclusion of a covenant someone killed a donkey\u5728\u7acb\u7ea6\u7ed3\u675f\u7684\u65f6\u5019\uff0c\u8fd9\u4eea\u5f0f\u662f\u628a\u4e00\u4e2a\u9a74\u5b50\u5bb0\u4e86\u3002And also in 8th century BC\uff0cthere was a Babylonian treaty\u5728\u4e3b\u524d\u7b2c\u516b\u4e16\u7eaa\u53e6\u5916\u6709\u5df4\u6bd4\u4f26\u7684\u6761\u7ea6\uff1aAgain some people was making a covenant with someone else\u4e00\u65b9\u548c\u53e6\u5916\u4e00\u65b9\u7acb\u7ea6\uff0cand the text reads\u8fd9\u4e2a\u6761\u7ea6\u8fd9\u6837\u8bf4\u7684\u201cjust as this calf is cut to pieces\uff0cso may Mati\u2019el be cut to pieces and his nobles be cut to pieces\u4ed6\u8bf4\uff1a\u6b63\u5982\u8fd9\u6761\u725b\u88ab\u5207\u6210\u8fd9\u4e48\u591a\u5feb\uff1b\u540c\u6837\u7684\uff0c\u739b\u63d0\u827e\u5c14\u4e5f\u613f\u4ed6\u88ab\u5207\u6210\u8089\u5757\uff0c\u4ed6\u7684\u8d35\u65cf\u4e5f\u88ab\u5207\u6210\u8089\u5757\u201d\uff08\u5f15\u81ea\u300a\u8bf8\u7ea6\u4e2d\u7684\u57fa\u7763\u300bfrom Palmer Robertson\u300aChrist in the Covenants\u300b\uff09\u3002In other words\uff0cif you or if I do not keep the covenant\u6362\u8a00\u4e4b\uff0c\u5047\u82e5\u6211\u6216\u8005\u4f60\u4e0d\u5b88\u7ea6\uff0cif we violate the covenant\u5047\u82e5\u6211\u4eec\u8fdd\u80cc\u8fd9\u4e2a\u7ea6\uff0cthen the parties at this point make a solemn oath\u4ed6\u4eec\u5c31\u5f88\u4e25\u8083\u5730\u53d1\u8a93\u8bf4\uff1a\u201cMay I be cut to pieces like these animals <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">are <\/span>cut to pieces\u613f\u6211\u88ab\u5207\u6210\u8089\u5757\uff0c\u6b63\u5982\u8fd9\u4e9b\u52a8\u7269\u4e00\u6837\u201d\u3002We may not think of this is a very beautiful ceremony\u6211\u4eec\u4e00\u822c\u4e0d\u4f1a\u8bf4\u8fd9\u4e2a\u662f\u5f88\u7f8e\u7684\u4e00\u4e2a\u4eea\u5f0f\uff0cbut that was the way they\u2019ve done\u4f46\u90a3\u4e2a\u5f53\u65f6\u662f\u4ed6\u4eec\u505a\u4e8b\u7684\u65b9\u6cd5\u2014\u2014By oath they made covenants with one <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">and<\/span> another\u4ed6\u4eec\u900f\u8fc7\u53d1\u8a93\u5f7c\u6b64\u7acb\u7ea6\u7684\u3002<\/p>\n<p>Now let us notice that in the ancient covenants both parties A and B walked through the animal pieces\u8bf7\u6ce8\u610f\uff0c\u5728\u53e4\u8fd1\u4e1c\u7684\u6761\u7ea6\u91cc\u9762\uff0c\u4e24\u65b9\u2014\u2014\u7b2c\u4e00\u65b9\u3001\u7b2c\u4e8c\u65b9\u90fd\u8d70\u8fc7\u8089\u5757\u7684\u3002But in \u300aGenesis\u300b15 only God go through the pieces\u4f46\u662f\u5728\u300a\u521b\u4e16\u8bb0\u300b\u7b2c\u5341\u4e94\u7ae0\u552f\u6709\u8036\u548c\u534e\u4e0a\u5e1d\u7ecf\u8fc7\u8fd9\u4e9b\u8089\u5757\u7684\u3002Abraham cannot make such an oath\u4e9a\u4f2f\u62c9\u7f55\u4e0d\u80fd\u8fd9\u6837\u5b50\u7acb\u7ea6\u7684\uff0cbecause he like us\uff0che is a covenant breaker\u56e0\u4e3a\u4e9a\u4f2f\u62c9\u7f55\u8ddf\u6211\u4eec\u4e00\u6837\uff0c<strong>\u90fd\u662f\u80cc\u7ea6\u7684\u7f6a\u4eba<\/strong>\u3002If he makes such an oath\uff0che will perish<strong>\u4e9a\u4f2f\u5170\u5047\u5982\u8fd9\u6837\u5b50\u53d1\u8a93\u7acb\u7ea6\u7684\u8bdd\uff0c\u4ed6\u5fc5\u706d\u4ea1\u7684<\/strong>\u3002So only God made this oath\u6240\u4ee5\u53ea\u6709\u4e0a\u5e1d\u8fd9\u6837\u5b50\u53d1\u8a93\u3002<\/p>\n<p>And \u300aHebrews\u300btells us that since there is no one higher than God\uff0c<span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">so<\/span> God swears with his own life\u300a\u5e0c\u4f2f\u6765\u4e66\u300b\u544a\u8bc9\u6211\u4eec\uff0c\u65e2\u7136\u6ca1\u6709\u4efb\u4f55\u6bd4\u4e0a\u5e1d\u66f4\u9ad8\u7684\uff0c\u6240\u4ee5\u4e0a\u5e1d\u6307\u7740\u4ed6\u7684\u6027\u547d\u53d1\u8a93\u3002And so God walks through the pieces himself\u2014\u2014for himself and for us\u4e0a\u5e1d\u662f\u4ee3\u8868\u4ed6\u81ea\u5df1\u8d70\u8fc7\u8fd9\u4e2a\u8089\u5757\u7684\uff0c\u4e5f\u4ee3\u8868\u6211\u4eec\u8d70\u8fc7\u8089\u5757\u7684\u3002God promised that if he would break the covenant then may he perished\u4e0a\u5e1d\u53d1\u8a93\u8bf4\uff1a\u5047\u5982\u4ed6\u80cc\u7ea6\u7684\u8bdd\uff0c\u613f\u4ed6\u706d\u4ea1\u3002Of course God would never break the covenant\u5f53\u7136\u4e0a\u5e1d\u6c38\u8fdc\u4e0d\u4f1a\u80cc\u7ea6\u7684\uff0cthe only party that may break covenant would be ourselves\u53ea\u6709\u6211\u4eec\u7f6a\u4eba\u624d\u4f1a\u80cc\u7ea6\u7684\u3002This is how God loves us\u4e0a\u5e1d\u662f\u8fd9\u6837\u7231\u6211\u4eec\u7684\uff0che took care of the reality that we will be breaking covenant\u4ed6\u4e5f\u628a\u201c\u6211\u4eec\u4f1a\u80cc\u7ea6\u201d\u8fd9\u4e2a\u4e8b\u5b9e\u3001\u8fd9\u4e2a\u95ee\u9898\u4e5f\u5904\u7406\u6389\u4e86\u3002<\/p>\n<p>Later on\uff0cin history of the Old Testament we read similar covenant ceremonies that involved in blood\u540e\u6765\uff0c\u5728\u65e7\u7ea6\u7684\u5386\u53f2\u6211\u4eec\u4e5f\u8bfb\u5230\u4e00\u4e9b\u7c7b\u4f3c\u7684\u7acb\u7ea6\u7684\u4eea\u5f0f\u3002You see\uff0ca covenant is an oath made with blood\u2014\u2014it\u2019s a life and death oath\u7acb\u7ea6\u662f\u4e00\u4e2a\u8840\u76df\u2014\u2014\u7528\u8840\u6765\u7acb\u4e00\u4e2a\u751f\u6b7b\u7684\u8a93\u7ea6\u7684\u3002In\u300aExodus\u300b24\u5728\u300a\u51fa\u57c3\u53ca\u8bb0\u300b\u4e8c\u5341\u56db\u7ae0\uff0cwe read about Moses officiating the covenant with the people of Israel\u6211\u4eec\u8bfb\u5230\u6469\u897f\u4e3a\u4e0a\u5e1d\u6267\u884c\u4ed6\u7684\u7ea6\uff0c\u5728\u4ee5\u8272\u5217\u4eba\u8eab\u4e0a\u3002Now it is not practical for so many thousands of \u00a0Israelis walk through the meat of certain animals\u5f53\u7136\uff0c\u6210\u5343\u4e0a\u4e07\u7684\u4ee5\u8272\u5217\u4eba\u8981\u8d70\u8fc7\u51e0\u4e2a\u52a8\u7269\u7684\u8089\u5757\u662f\u4e0d\u5b9e\u9645\u7684\u3002So Moses used another we get\u300aJeremiah\u300b34\u7136\u540e\u6211\u4eec\u8bfb\u5230\u300a\u8036\u5229\u7c73\u4e66\u300b\u4e09\u5341\u56db\u7ae017\u523020\u8282verse 17 to 20\uff1aThere the prophet Jeremiah read God\u2019s law to the king and people\u5728\u90a3\u91cc\uff0c\u8036\u5229\u7c73\u628a\u4e0a\u5e1d\u7684\u5f8b\u6cd5\u8bfb\u7ed9\u738b\u548c\u4ee5\u8272\u5217\u6c11\u3001\u72b9\u5927\u6c11\u542c\u3002This is 1400 years later\u8fd9\u4e2a\u662f1400\u5e74\u4e4b\u540e\u7684\u4e8b\uff0cand birds in the sky and meat cut into pieces would mentioned again\u4f46\u662f\u4ed6\u4eec\u53c8\u518d\u4e00\u6b21\u63d0\u5230\u5929\u4e0a\u7684\u98de\u9e1f\u548c\u88ab\u5207\u5f00\u7684\u8089\u5757\u3002And so\u300aJeremiah\u300b34 went back to Abraham\u2019s covenant and Moses\u2019 covenant\u300a\u8036\u5229\u7c73\u4e66\u300b\u4e09\u5341\u56db\u7ae0\u53c8\u6307\u56de\u4e9a\u4f2f\u62c9\u7f55\u7684\u7ea6\u8ddf\u6469\u897f\u7684\u7ea6\u7684\u3002Since the people of Judah broke the covenant\u65e2\u7136\u72b9\u5927\u4eba\u80cc\u7ea6\u4e86\uff0cmay they be come to pieces\u613f\u4ed6\u4eec\u88ab\u5207\u6210\u8089\u5757\u3002So judgement is real\u6240\u4ee5\u5ba1\u5224\u662f\u771f\u7684\uff0cthey are consequences to breaking the covenant\u80cc\u7ea6\u662f\u6709\u540e\u679c\u7684\u3002<\/p>\n<p>In\u300aGenesis\u300b15 on that day and God promised to bring the curse upon himself if we sin\u5728\u300a\u521b\u4e16\u8bb0\u300b\u5341\u4e94\u7ae0\u90a3\u4e00\u5929\uff0c\u4e0a\u5e1d\u5e94\u8bb8\u4ed6\u53d1\u8a93\u8bf4\uff1a\u5f53\u6211\u4eec\u80cc\u7ea6\u7684\u65f6\u5019\uff0c\u613f\u4ed6\u53d7\u5492\u8bc5\u3002Well\uff0cthat promise became a reality\u90a3\u4e2a\u5e94\u8bb8\u81f3\u7ec8\u6210\u4e3a\u4e8b\u5b9e\u4e86\u3002On the cross at Calvary\uff0cGod not only promised to bring the curse on himself\u5728\u5404\u5404\u4ed6\u5c71\u4e0a\u7684\u5341\u5b57\u67b6\uff0c\u4e0a\u5e1d\u4e0d\u4ec5\u4ec5\u53d1\u8a93\u613f\u5492\u8bc5\u4e34\u5728\u4ed6\u81ea\u5df1\uff0che actually brought the curse on himself\u2014\u2014on Jesus Christ the son\u4e0a\u5e1d\u4e8b\u5b9e\u4e0a\u628a\u5492\u8bc5\u653e\u5728\u4ed6\u81ea\u5df1\u8eab\u4e0a\u2014\u2014\u5728\u8036\u7a23\u57fa\u7763\u5723\u5b50\u7684\u8eab\u4e0a\u3002That\u2019s how great God\u2019s love is\u4e0a\u5e1d\u7684\u7231\u5c31\u662f\u90a3\u4e48\u7684\u4f1f\u5927\uff01<\/p>\n<p><strong>V.REPRISE<\/strong><strong>\u91cd\u7533\uff1a<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>How does God love\u4e0a\u5e1d\u600e\u4e48\u7231\u7684\u5462\uff1fHow wonderful is His love\u4ed6\u7684\u7231\u7a76\u7adf\u6709\u591a\u5947\u5999\u5462\uff1fWe must understand what is covenant is\uff0cin order to understand God\u2019s love<strong>\u6211\u4eec\u5fc5\u987b\u7406\u89e3\u5230\u795e\u7684\u7ea6\u662f\u4ec0\u4e48\uff0c\u624d\u80fd\u591f\u7406\u89e3\u5230\u795e\u7684\u7231\u662f\u4ec0\u4e48\uff01<\/strong>The covenant is God coming to make a vow with us\u4e0a\u5e1d\u8ddf\u6211\u4eec\u7acb\u7ea6\u7684\u610f\u601d\u662f\u8bf4\uff1a\u4ed6\u4e34\u5230\u6211\u4eec\uff0c\u5411\u6211\u4eec\u53d1\u8a93\u3002We are sinners\uff0cwe are covenant breakers\u6211\u4eec\u662f\u7f6a\u4eba\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u662f\u80cc\u7ea6\u7684\u3002God brings us his faithfulness and his love<strong>\u4e0a\u5e1d\u628a\u4ed6\u7684\u4fe1\u5b9e\u8ddf\u4ed6\u7684\u7231\u8d50\u7ed9\u6211\u4eec<\/strong>\uff1awe are faithless\u6211\u4eec\u662f\u80cc\u7ea6\u7684\u3001\u6211\u4eec\u662f\u4e0d\u5fe0\u8bda\u7684\uff1bGod is faithful\uff0che never changes\u4e0a\u5e1d\u662f\u4fe1\u5b9e\u7684\uff0c\u4ed6\u6c38\u4e0d\u6539\u53d8\u3002<\/p>\n<p>And so to every person who trusts in God by trusting in his son\u6240\u4ee5\u6bcf\u4e00\u4f4d\u76f8\u4fe1\u8036\u7a23\u57fa\u7763\u3001\u76f8\u4fe1\u4e0a\u5e1d\u7684\u4eba\uff0cGod gives us Jesus\u2019s obedience<strong>\u4e0a\u5e1d\u7ed9\u6211\u4eec\u8036\u7a23\u57fa\u7763\u7684\u987a\u670d<\/strong>\uff0cand Jesus also took the curse for our disobedience\u540c\u65f6<strong>\u8036\u7a23\u57fa\u7763\u4e3a\u6211\u4eec\u7684\u4e0d\u987a\u670d\u627f\u62c5\u4e86\u5492\u8bc5<\/strong>\u3002We must see the double gifts that Jesus gives us\u6211\u4eec\u5fc5\u987b\u770b\u5230\uff1a<strong>\u8036\u7a23\u57fa\u7763\u7ed9\u6211\u4eec\u7684\u6069\u8d50\u662f\u4e00\u4efd\u53cc\u91cd\u7684\u6069\u8d50\uff1a\uff081\uff09<\/strong>Negatively\uff0cJesus took the curse<strong>\u4ece\u6d88\u6781\u6765\u770b\uff0c\u8036\u7a23\u627f\u62c5\u8fd9\u4e2a\u5492\u8bc5\u3002<\/strong>We cannot afford to take the curse\u6211\u4eec\u4e0d\u53ef\u80fd\u627f\u62c5\u7684\u3002Just like later on in\uff08\u300aGenesis\u300b\uff09Chapter 22\uff0cIsaac could not atone for his\uff0835:27\uff09\u5c31\u7b49\u4e8e\u5230\u4e86\u4e8c\u5341\u4e8c\u7ae0\u7684\u65f6\u4faf\uff0c\u4ee5\u6492\u4e5f\u4e0d\u53ef\u80fd\u4e3a\u81ea\u5df1\u8d4e\u7f6a\u7684\u3002Jesus had to take the curse\u8036\u7a23\u5fc5\u987b\u4e3a\u6211\u4eec\u627f\u62c5\u5492\u8bc5\u7684\u3002\uff082\uff09But on the positive side\u4f46\u662f<strong>\u4ece\u79ef\u6781\u6b63\u9762\u6765\u770b<\/strong>\uff0cGod is faithful\u4e0a\u5e1d\u662f\u4fe1\u5b9e\u7684\uff0cJesus is obedient\u8036\u7a23\u662f\u987a\u670d\u7684\u3002So when we trust Him\u6240\u4ee5\u5f53\u6211\u4eec\u4fe1\u9760\u8036\u7a23\u57fa\u7763\u7684\u65f6\u5019\uff0cGod gives us his unchanging love and Jesus\u2019perfect obedient record<strong>\u5f53\u6211\u4eec\u4fe1\u8036\u7a23\u7684\u65f6\u5019\uff0c\u4e0a\u5e1d\u7ed9\u6211\u4eec\u4ed6\u4e0d\u53d8\u7684\u4fe1\u5b9e\u6148\u7231\uff0c\u4ed6\u4e5f\u628a\u8036\u7a23\u57fa\u7763\u7684\u5b8c\u5168\u987a\u670d\u7684\u6240\u8d5a\u6765\u7684\u4e49\u4e5f\u540c\u65f6\u8d50\u7ed9\u6211\u4eec<\/strong>\u3002So therefore only if we completely trust in God\u2019s love\u3001in Christ\u6240\u4ee5\u6211\u4eec\u552f\u72ec\u5b8c\u5168\u4f9d\u9760\u4e0a\u5e1d\u5728\u8036\u7a23\u57fa\u7763\u91cc\u7684\u7231\uff1bonly if we completely trust in God\u2019s faithfulness\u5f53\u6211\u4eec\u5b8c\u5168\u4f9d\u9760\u4e0a\u5e1d\u7684\u4fe1\u5b9e\uff0cthen can we begin to learn the true meaning of love\u6211\u4eec\u624d\u80fd\u591f\u5f00\u59cb\u4f53\u4f1a\u5230\u7231\u7684\u771f\u610f\uff0cbecause then Jesus keeps the covenant for us\u8fd9\u6837\u5b50\u8036\u7a23\u4e3a\u6211\u4eec\u5b88\u7ea6\uff0cJesus took the curse for covenant \u00a0disobedience for us as well\u540c\u65f6\u4e3a\u8036\u7a23\u6211\u4eec\u7684\u80cc\u7ea6\u627f\u62c5\u5492\u8bc5\u3002<\/p>\n<p>What is love? What is faith\u7231\u662f\u4ec0\u4e48\uff1f\u4fe1\u5fc3\u662f\u4ec0\u4e48\uff1fIt is make a covenant\u3001make a commitment\u7231\u662f\u627f\u8bfa\u3001\u59d4\u8eab\uff0c\u4fe1\u5fc3\u4e5f\u662f\u627f\u8bfa\u3001\u59d4\u8eab\u3002But dear brothers and sisters\uff0cwe cannot even begin to make a commitment\u5f1f\u5144\u59d0\u59b9\uff0c<strong>\u6211\u4eec\u4e0d\u53ef\u80fd\u7acb\u7ea6\u7684\u6765\u7231\u3001\u6765\u4fe1\u9760\u4e0a\u5e1d<\/strong>\uff0cunless God make a commitment first<strong>\u9664\u975e\u4e0a\u5e1d\u5148\u6765\u4e3a\u6211\u4eec\u627f\u8bfa\u3001\u4e3a\u6211\u4eec\u59d4\u8eab<\/strong>\u3002Because our God has kept covenant for us\u56e0\u4e3a\u795e\u4e3a\u6211\u4eec\u7acb\u7ea6\u3001\u5b88\u7ea6\uff0cthen it becomes possible for us to give ourselves and dedicate ourselves to God and to live for Christ\u56e0\u4e3a\u795e\u5148\u5b88\u7ea6\u627f\u5f53\u4e86\u8fd9\u4e2a\u7ea6\u2014\u2014\u627f\u8bfa\u4e86\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u624d\u6709\u53ef\u80fd\u628a\u81ea\u5df1\u5949\u732e\u7ed9\u795e\u7684\u3002<\/p>\n<p>Let us thank God for his love\u8ba9\u6211\u4eec\u4e3a\u4e0a\u5e1d\u7684\u5927\u7231\u611f\u8c22\u4ed6\uff1abecause it is a strong\u3001dependable\u3001faithful love\u56e0\u4e3a\u4e0a\u5e1d\u7684\u7231\u662f\u575a\u56fa\u7684\u7231\u3001\u4fe1\u5b9e\u7684\u7231\u3001\u5b88\u7ea6\u7684\u7231\uff1bour love is limited\u6211\u4eec\u7684\u7231\u662f\u6709\u9650\u7684\u2014\u2014we often break our promises\u6211\u4eec\u5f80\u5f80\u8bf4\u4e86\u3001\u505a\u4e86\u4e00\u4e2a\u5e94\u8bb8\u4e5f\u4e0d\u53bb\u5151\u73b0\u7684\u3002God is not like that\u4e0a\u5e1d\u4e0d\u662f\u8fd9\u6837\u5b50\u7684\u3002And so that&#8217;s the assurance God gave Abram on that day\u4e0a\u5e1d\u5728\u90a3\u4e00\u5929\u5c31\u662f\u8fd9\u6837\u5b50\u7684\u628a\u786e\u636e\u7ed9\u4e9a\u4f2f\u5170\u3002Abram says\u201cHow do I know for sure\u201d\u4e9a\u4f2f\u5170\u95ee\uff1a\u201c\u6211\u600e\u4e48\u624d\u80fd\u786e\u5b9e\u77e5\u9053\u201d\uff1fWe believe\uff0cbut our faith is weak\u6211\u4eec\u76f8\u4fe1\uff0c\u4f46\u662f\u6211\u4eec\u4fe1\u5fc3\u662f\u8f6f\u5f31\u7684\uff1blook to God\u3001look to Christ for the strength of our faith\u6211\u4eec\u7684\u4fe1\u5fc3\u82e5\u662f\u9700\u8981\u6709\u80fd\u529b\uff0c\u552f\u72ec\u4ef0\u671b\u8036\u7a23\u57fa\u7763\uff0c\u4ef0\u671b\u6211\u4eec\u7684\u4e0a\u5e1d\u3002<\/p>\n<p>Let
