\u5723\u7075\u7684\u7ecf\u5386\u4e0e\u5f53\u4ee3\u6559\u4f1a\ufe55<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u7f8e\u56fd\u6539\u9769\u5b97\u957f\u8001\u4f1a<\/strong> (PCA) <\/strong>\u6559\u7267\u516c\u51fd<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u7b2c\u4e8c\u6b21\u603b\u4f1a<\/strong> (1974) <\/strong>\u901a\u8fc7<\/strong><\/p>\n

The General Assembly of the National Presbyterian Church (translator\u2019s note: name subsequently changed to Presbyterian Church in America), being fully aware of the widespread notice being given to the question of the work of the Holy Spirit today, offers the following pastoral letter addressed to its churches:<\/p>\n

The General Assembly rejoices in all evidences of new life in Christ\u2019s body.\u00a0 It prays earnestly that the spirit which Christ has poured out on His church may continue to affect radically the lives of men throughout the world.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the General Assembly would express concern over an increasing emphasis on experience-centered criteria as they are applied to the life of God\u2019s people.\u00a0 The General Assembly would encourage the church as a whole to take most seriously its commitment to the Scriptures as the \u201conly infallible rule of faith and practice (Book of Church Order<\/em>, 22-5), particularly as Scripture relates to current questions within the church.<\/p>\n

In seeking to provide guidelines from Scripture to questions relating to the church\u2019s experience of the Holy Spirit, the General Assembly would offer the following observations:<\/p>\n

\u7f8e\u56fd\u6539\u9769\u5b97\u957f\u8001\u4f1a (National Presbyterian Church,\u00a0\u00a0 \u540e\u66f4\u540d\u4e3a Presbyterian Church in America) \u7684\u603b\u4f1a\ufe50\u9274\u4e8e\u5f53\u4ee3\u6559\u4f1a\u5bf9\u4e8e\u5723\u7075\u95ee\u9898\u5e7f\u6cdb\u5173\u6ce8\ufe50\u5179\u5411\u672c\u603b\u4f1a<\/p>\n

\u5c5e\u4e0b\u4e4b\u4f17\u5802\u4f1a\u7279\u53d1\u6b64\u6559\u7267\u516c\u51fd\ufe55<\/p>\n

\u672c\u4f1a\u4e3a\u57fa\u7763\u8eab\u4f53\u4e2d\u5404\u79cd\u65b0\u751f\u4e4b\u8ff9\u8c61\u800c\u611f\u6069\u3002\u6211\u4eec\u6073\u5207\u7977\u544a\ufe50\u6c42\u57fa\u7763\u6d47\u704c\u7ed9\u7942\u6559\u4f1a\u7684\u5723\u7075\ufe50\u4e0d\u65ad\u5f7b\u5e95\u5730\u5728\u4e16\u754c\u5404\u5904\u6539\u53d8\u4eba\u7684\u751f\u547d\u3002<\/p>\n

\u4e0e\u6b64\u540c\u65f6\ufe50\u672c\u4f1a\u8868\u8fbe\u6211\u4eec\u7684\u5173\u5207\ufe50\u56e0\u6709\u4fe1\u5f92\u5f3a\u8c03\u7528\u67d0\u4e9b\u4ee5\u7ecf\u5386\u4e3a\u672c\u7684\u51c6\u5219\ufe50\u6765\u8861\u91cf\u795e\u7684\u5b50\u6c11\u7684\u751f\u547d\u3002\u672c\u4f1a\u9f13\u52b1\u4f17\u6559\u4f1a\u8ba4\u771f\u6301\u5b88\u6211\u4eec\u7684\u4fe1\u5ff5\ufe55\u4ee5\u300a\u5723\u7ecf\u300b\u4e3a\u6211\u4eec\u300c\u4fe1\u4ef0\u4e0e\u751f\u6d3b\u7684\u552f\u4e00\u65e0\u8c2c\u8bef\u51c6\u5219\u300d(\u201cthe only infallible rule of faith and practice,\u201d PCA\u6cbb\u4f1a\u7ae0\u7a0b Book of Church Order<\/em>, 22-5) \ufe54\u5c24\u5e94\u4ee5\u300a\u5723\u7ecf\u300b\u8861\u91cf\u5f53\u4eca\u6559\u4f1a\u9762\u5bf9\u4e4b<\/p>\n

\u95ee\u9898\u3002<\/p>\n

\u5173\u4e8e\u5f53\u4eca\u6559\u4f1a\u5bf9\u5723\u7075\u7684\u7ecf\u5386\ufe50\u672c\u603b\u4f1a\u4f5c\u51fa\u4e0b\u5217\u8003\u8651\ufe50\u4ee5\u4f9b\u4f17\u6559\u4f1a\u4e3a\u300a\u5723<\/p>\n

\u7ecf\u300b\u539f\u5219\u53c2\u8003\ufe55<\/p>\n

I.\u00a0 Concerning the Baptism of the Holy Spirit \u8bba\u5723\u7075\u7684\u6d17<\/h1>\n

Baptism of the Holy Spirit was promised by Joel and other prophets in the Old Testament (1) as well as by John the Baptist and our Lord in the New Testament((2).\u00a0 It found its fulfillment at Pentecost(3).\u00a0 While public and external manifestations of the baptism of the Holy Spirit occurred on occasion in the Apostolic Age(4), Scripture teaches that the normal experience of the4 Spirit\u2019s baptism coincides with regeneration (5).\u00a0 It is therefore not to be viewed as a second blessing or a special work of grace enjoyed by some but not by all Christians(6).\u00a0 The initial reception of Christ by faith is not to be separated from the total impartation of the Person of the Holy Spirit(7).<\/p>\n

\u65e7\u7ea6\u300a\u5723\u7ecf\u300b\u91cc\u7ea6\u73e5\u548c\u5176\u4ed6\u5148\u77e5\u4eec(1)\ufe50\u548c\u65b0\u7ea6\u300a\u5723\u7ecf\u300b\u91cc\u65bd\u6d17\u7ea6\u7ff0\u4e0e\u4e3b\u8036\u7a23\u57fa\u7763(2)\ufe50\u90fd\u5e94\u8bb8\u5723\u7075\u8981\u65bd\u6d17\u3002\u6b64\u5e94\u8bb8\u5728\u4e94\u65ec\u8282\u5e94\u9a8c\u4e86(3)\u3002\u5728\u4f7f\u5f92\u65f6\u4ee3\ufe50\u6709\u65f6\u67d0\u4e9b\u5916\u5728\ufe50\u516c\u5f00\u7684\u4e8b\u8ff9\u966a\u4f34\u7740\u5723\u7075\u7684\u6d17(4)\ufe54\u53ef\u662f\u300a\u5723\u7ecf\u300b\u6559\u5bfc\u6211\u4eec\ufe50\u5723\u7075\u6d17\u7684\u7ecf\u5386\ufe50\u4e00\u822c\u662f\u4e0e\u91cd\u751f\u540c\u65f6\u53d1\u751f(5)\u3002\u5723\u7075\u7684\u6d17\ufe50\u4e0d\u5f53\u89c6\u4e3a\u53ea\u6709\u67d0\u4e9b\u4fe1\u5f92\u624d\u6709\ufe50\u5176\u4ed6\u4fe1\u5f92\u5f97\u4e0d\u5230\u7684\u7ecf\u5386\u3002\u5723\u7075\u7684\u6d17\u4e0d\u662f\u6240\u8c13\u300c\u7b2c\u4e8c\u6b21\u5f97\u798f\u300d\ufe50\u6216\u795e\u4e00\u79cd\u7279\u522b\u7684\u6069\u5178(6)\u3002\u9996\u6b21\u85c9\u4fe1\u5fc3\u63a5\u53d7\u57fa\u7763\ufe50\u4e0e\u5723\u7075\u5b8c\u5168\u7684\u8d50\u4e88\ufe50\u4e24\u8005\u662f\u5c5e\u540c\u4e00\u4ef6\u4e8b\ufe50\u4e0d\u53ef\u5206\u5f00(7) \u3002<\/p>\n

The filling of the Spirit denotes the dominion of Christ in our lives and occurs when one is led willingly by the Word through which the Spirit works(12).\u00a0 By their subjection to the Word of Scripture, believers grow in grace and the benefits of the redemption they receive freely through Christ(13).\u00a0 The evidence of this spiritual growth is seen in the fruits of the Spirit, which is proof of their abiding in Christ and his Word abiding in them(14).\u00a0 By the filling of the Spirit they are enabled to speak the truth of Christ with great boldness(15).<\/p>\n

The Scripture commands every Christian to be filled continually by the Holy Spirit, and to grow spiritually by obedience to God\u2019s Written Word and the proper use of the means of grace(16).\u00a0 When we neglect or ignore His Word or are disobedient to it, we are guilty of quenching and grieving the Holy Spirit(17).<\/p>\n

      1. Any view of the tongues as experienced in our time which conceives of it an experience by which revelation is received from God is contrary to the finalized character of revelation in Scripture;<\/li>\n
      2. Any view of tongues which sees this phenomenon as an essential sign of the baptism of the Spirit is contradictory to Scripture; and<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        1. Any practice of the tongues phenomenon in any age which causes dissension and<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              Much discussion and debate continue throughout the church of Christ on the subject of miracles.\u00a0 In the Scripture certain clusters of miracles were associated with various servants of God and related to the giving of revelation, such as Exodus 4:1-9; 1 Kings 17:23-24; John 2:11; 3:2.\u00a0 Such miracles were signs by which God communicated divine truth or confirmed that the speaker indeed spoke from God.\u00a0 These miracles related to revelation have ceased, since revelation was completed with the closing of the Canon in the New Testament era.<\/p>\n

              Scripture also uses the term \u201cmiracle\u201d or wonder to describe the acts of God in all areas of creation and providence (22).\u00a0 The power of God in response to believing prayer to work wonders and to heal the sick cannot be limited (23).\u00a0 Such wonders certainly do continue to this day, and are all for the glory of God and not man.<\/p>\n

              Finally, the General Assembly would speak a word of caution against an obsession with signs and miraculous manifestations which is not indicative of a healthy church, but of the opposite (24).\u00a0 The Spirit provides all that is necessary for the equipping of the saints through His presence and power in the lives of the regenerate (25).\u00a0 The true basis of faith and spiritual growth is the work of the Holy Spirit in believers as they are made subject to His written Word, which is sufficient itself for spiritual growth to complete maturity (26).<\/p>\n

              The General Assembly would also urge a spirit of forbearance among those holding different views regarding the spiritual gifts as they are experienced today (27).<\/p>\n
