      ORTHODOX CHRISTIANITY: We Are Orthodox Christians<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \u300c\u6b63\u7edf\u300d = \u8d70\u5728\u6b63\u7684\u9053\u8def\u4e0a\u3002Orthodox = \u201cright way.\u201d<\/p>\n

      \u6211\u4eec\u5bf9\u300c\u6b63\u7edf\u300d\u7684\u5b9a\u4e49\ufe55\u76f8\u4fe1\u300a\u5723\u7ecf\u300b\u3002<\/p>\n

      Our definition of \u201corthodoxy\u201d: Bible-believing.<\/p>\n

      \u5386\u53f2\ufe55\u8def\u5fb7\u4f1a\uff0c\u4fe1\u4e49\u5b97\u6559\u4f1a\u5f88\u591a\u662f\u6b63\u7edf\u7684\u3002\u5386\u53f2\u4e0a\u66fe\u6709\u5b97\u6559\u6539\u9769\u540e\u6b63\u7edf\u795e\u5b66\u65f6\u671f\u3002<\/p>\n

      Historical background: Many Christians in the Lutheran Church= orthodox Christians: a period after the Protestant Reformation: the formulation of \u201cLutheran orthodoxy.\u201d<\/p>\n

      \u8def\u5fb7\u548c\u52a0\u5c14\u6587\u7684\u7b2c\u4e8c\uff0c\u4e09\u4ee3\uff0c\u5c06\u4fe1\u4ef0\u7b2c\u5185\u5bb9\u7cfb\u7edf\u5316\ufe55\u57fa\u7763\u6559\u6b63\u7edf\u65f6\u671f\u3002<\/p>\n

      The 2nd<\/sup> and 3rd<\/sup> generation after Luther and Calvin =the period of Protestant orthodoxy<\/p>\n

      (Lutheran orthodoxy, Reformed\/Calvinist orthodoxy); they systematized the Protestant faith<\/p>\n

      into creeds.<\/p>\n

      \u6db5\u4e49\ufe55\u65b0\u6d3e\uff0c\u81ea\u7531\u6d3e\uff0c\u65b0\u6b63\u7edf\u6d3e\uff0c\u65b0\u798f\u97f3\u6d3e\u7b49\u4e0d\u662f\u6b63\u7edf\u57fa\u7763\u6559\u4fe1\u4ef0\u3002<\/p>\n

      \u4eca\u5929\u5c24\u5176\u5728\u89e3\u7ecf\uff08\u91ca\u7ecf\u5b66\uff09\u65b9\u9762\uff0c\u5982\u4f55\u5224\u65ad\u4e00\u4f4d\u795e\u5b66\u5bb6\u662f\u5426\u6b63\u7edf\uff0c\u8d8a\u6765\u8d8a\u56f0\u96be\u3002<\/p>\n

      \u53ef\u662f\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u5224\u65ad\u4fe1\u4ef0\u7acb\u573a\u65f6\uff0c\u5e76\u4e0d\u540c\u65f6\u5224\u65ad\u6301\u6709\u8fd9\u4fe1\u4ef0\u8005\u5f97\u6551\u4e0e\u5426\u3002<\/p>\n

      Implication: liberalism, neo-orthodoxy and neo-evangelicalism are NOT orthodox.<\/p>\n

      John Frame (personal remark to author): It is becoming increasingly difficult to determine whether a scholar is orthodox today, especially in hermeneutics and exegesis.<\/p>\n

      However, when we discern a theological position or a belief, we do not at the same time make a judgment as to whether a person who holds such a belief is saved or not.<\/p>\n

        \u57fa\u7763\u6559\u7684\u6b63\u7edf\u4fe1\u4ef0\uff0c\u5f80\u5f80\u662f\u56e0\u4e3a\u5f02\u7aef\u51fa\u73b0\uff0c\u6559\u4f1a\u4f5c\u51fa\u54cd\u5e94\u800c\u8ba2\u5b9a\u7684\u3002<\/p>\n

        The orthodox Christian faith is often formulated because of the rise of heresies, and through the church\u2019s response to heresy.<\/p>\n

        \u65e9\u671f\u6559\u4f1a\u7684\u5927\u516c\u4f1a\u8bae\ufe55\u57fa\u7763\u6559\u627f\u8ba4\u5934\u56db\u4e2a\u4f1a\u8bae\u7684\u51b3\u5b9a\uff0c\u5c24\u5176\u662f\u300a\u5c3c\u897f\u4e9a\u4fe1\u7ecf\u300b\u7b49\u3002<\/p>\n

        The ecumenical councils of the church, especially the first four (Nicene Council and the Chalcedon Council, etc.), made decisions on the Christian faith which Protestants accept.<\/p>\n

        \u4e0d\u8fc7\u4eec\u4e0d\u8ba4\u540c\u7531\u81ea\u7531\u6d3e\u795e\u5b66\u9886\u5bfc\u7684\u666e\u4e16\u57fa\u7763\u6559\u4f1a\u5408\u4e00\u8fd0\u52a8\uff08WCC\uff09\u3002<\/p>\n

        However we do not identify with the \u201cecumenical movement\u201d embodied in the World Council of Churches, and the National Council of Churches of Christ USA.<\/p>\n

        IV<\/strong>\uff0e\u6211\u4eec\u662f\u798f\u97f3\u6d3e<\/strong>EVANGELICALISM: We Are Evangelicals<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \u300c\u798f\u97f3\u6d3e\u300d (Evangelical) \u4e00\u8bcd\u6709\u591a\u79cd\u4e0d\u540c\u7684\u7528\u6cd5\ufe55<\/p>\n

        There are many ways in which the word \u201cevangelical\u201d is used:<\/p>\n

        \u6b27\u6d32\uff0c\u62c9\u4e01\u7f8e\u6d32\uff0c\u975e\u5f8b\u5bbe\ufe55\u300c\u798f\u97f3\u6d3e\u300d\u4e00\u8bcd = \u57fa\u7763\u6559\uff08\u65b0\u6559\uff09\u7684\u610f\u601d\u3002<\/p>\n

        In Europe, Latin America, Philippines: \u201cEvangelical\u201d = Protestant.<\/p>\n

        \u82f1\u56fd\ufe55\u97e6\u65af\u5229\u7684\u590d\u5174\uff0c\u53ca\u5176\u540e\u4ee3\uff08\u7b2c\u4e8c\uff0c\u7b2c\u4e09\u4ee3\uff09=\u5747\u88ab\u79f0\u4e3a\u300c\u798f\u97f3\u6d3e\u300d\u3002<\/p>\n

        In England, the Wesleyan revival (1740s) is called the \u201cEvangelical Awakening.\u201d<\/p>\n

        Then came the 2nd<\/sup> and 3rd<\/sup> generation of the Evangelical Awakening.<\/p>\n

        \u82f1\u56fd\ufe55\u5723\u516c\u4f1a\u91cc\u7684\u798f\u97f3\u6d3e\u3002<\/p>\n

        \uff082003\u5e74\ufe55\u7b2c\u4e09\u4e16\u754c\u4e0e\u798f\u97f3\u6d3e\u7684\u5723\u516c\u4f1a\u9886\u8896\uff0c\u8003\u8651\u79bb\u5f00\u5723\u516c\u4f1a\u3002\uff09<\/p>\n

        Evangelicals in the Church of England = Low Church Anglicans.<\/p>\n

        2003: Evangelicals in the Church of England, and Third-World Anglican leaders, are considering leaving the Anglican Communion.<\/p>\n

        High Church\u2019s mission society: Society for the Propagation of the Gospel;<\/p>\n

        Low Church\u2019s mission society = Church Missionary Society.<\/p>\n

        \u57281990\u5e74\u4ee3\uff0c\u4ee5\u5b97\u6559\u793e\u4f1a\u5b66\u89d2\u5ea6\u7ed9\u300c\u798f\u97f3\u6d3e\u300d\u4e00\u4e2a\u5b9a\u4e49\uff1b\u300c\u798f\u97f3\u6d3e\u300d\u4eba\u58eb\u5f3a\u8c03\u7977\u544a\uff0c\u8bfb\u5723\u7ecf\uff0c\u91cd\u751f\u5f97\u6551\u7684\u5fc5\u987b\uff0c\u5e03\u9053\u4e0e\u5ba3\u6559\u7684\u91cd\u8981\u6027\u3002\u4efb\u4f55\u559c\u6b22\u845b\u57f9\u7406\u7684\u4eba\uff01<\/p>\n

        \u8fd9\u5b9a\u4e49\u53ef\u8bf4\u662f\u51c6\u786e\uff0c\u4f46\u4e0d\u8db3\u591f\uff01\u00a0 \u5176\u5b9e\u300c\u798f\u97f3\u6d3e\u300d\u5c31\u662f\u6b63\u7edf\u7684\u57fa\u7763\u6559\u4fe1\u4ef0\u4e0e\u751f\u6d3b\u3002<\/p>\n

        Some sociologists of religion defined \u201cevangelicalism\u201d this way 1990s: Evangelicals put an emphasis on prayer, reading the Bible, the necessity of the born-again \u201cconversion experience\u201d, and the importance of evangelism and missions.\u00a0 This is an accurate description, but not an adequate (sufficient) definition!\u00a0 Anybody who likes Billy Graham!<\/p>\n

        Evangelicalism is simply orthodox Christian faith and life.<\/p>\n

        V<\/strong>\uff0e\u656c\u8654\u4e3b\u4e49<\/strong> \ufe55\u6211\u4eec\u8ffd\u6c42\u4e0e\u795e\u4eb2\u5bc6<\/strong>PIETISM: We Seek Intimacy with God<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \u5386\u53f2\u4e0a\uff0c\u6bcf\u4e00\u4e2a\u65f6\u671f\u90fd\u6709\u795e\u7684\u513f\u5973\uff0c\u8ffd\u6c42\u66f4\u76f4\u63a5\uff0c\u4eb2\u5bc6\u7684\u7ecf\u5386\u795e\ufe55\u8fd9\u662f\u6b63\u5f53\u7684\u3002<\/p>\n

        In every generation in church history, there are some\/many Christians who are hungry and thirsty or a more direct, a more intimate experience of God.\u00a0 This is proper and good.<\/p>\n

        \u5b97\u6559\u6539\u9769\u4e4b\u540e\u8ffd\u6c42\u4e0e\u795e\u4eb2\u5bc6\u7684\u8fd0\u52a8\ufe55The Protestant search for intimacy: several waves.<\/p>\n

        \u7b2c\u4e00\u6ce2\ufe55\u82f1\u56fd\u7684\u6e05\u6559\u5f92\u8fd0\u52a8\u3002 1st<\/sup> wave: English Puritans -1558-1710<\/p>\n

        \u7b2c\u4e8c\u6ce2\ufe55\u8377\u5170\u7684\u656c\u8654\u4e3b\u4e49 \u30022nd<\/sup> wave: from England, it spread to Dutch Pietism.<\/p>\n

        \u7b2c\u4e09\u6ce2\ufe55\u5fb7\u56fd\u7684\u656c\u8654\u4e3b\u4e49\u3002 3rd<\/sup> wave (most famous): German Pietism: Spener, Francke, in Halle, Germany; Count Nicholas Von Zinzendorf; Moravian Brethren; etc.<\/p>\n

        \u5230\u4e8619\u4e16\u7eaa\uff0c\u656c\u8654\u4e3b\u4e49\u4e0e\u540e\u6765\u7684\u57fa\u8981\u4e3b\u4e49\u52a0\u4e0a\u4e86\u4e00\u4e9b\u7279\u5f81\ufe55<\/p>\n

        By the 19th<\/sup> century, Pietism took on some added characteristics:<\/p>\n
