is Counseling?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>\u8f85\u5bfc\u53ef\u4ee5\u300c\u975e\u6307\u5f15\u5f0f\u300d\u5417\uff1f\u975e\u6307\u5f15\u7684\u8f85\u5bfc\u7b49\u4e8e\u975e\u8f85\u5bfc\u7684\u8f85\u5bfc\uff01\uff08\u300c\u975e\u6307\u5f15\u8f85\u5bfc\u300d\u8fd9\u4e2a\u89c2\u5ff5\u6765\u81ea\u7f57\u6770\u65af\uff0c\u4ed6\u662f\u4e00\u4e2a\u4eba\u672c\u4e3b\u4e49\u8005\uff1b\u8fd9\u89c2\u5ff5\u5374\u88ab\u57fa\u7763\u5f92\u8f85\u5bfc\u5458\u4e0e\u8f85\u5bfc\u4e2d\u5fc3\u5e7f\u6cdb\u4f7f\u7528\u3002\uff09<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Can counseling be really \u201cnon-directive\u201d?\u00a0 Non-directive counseling is non-counseling counseling!\u00a0 (The idea of \u201cnon-directive counseling\u201d comes from Carl Rogers, a humanist, and is very commonly adopted by Christian counseling and counseling centers.)<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\u300c\u5fc3\u7406\u75c5\u300d\u7684\u795e\u8bdd\u3002\u4ec0\u4e48\u662f\u300c\u75be\u75c5\u300d\uff1f\u662f\u53ef\u4ee5\u89c2\u5bdf\uff0c\u8bca\u65ad\uff0c\u5f00\u836f\u6216\u5f00\u5200\u7684\u95ee\u9898\u3002\u8f85\u5bfc\u5462\uff1f\u8f85\u5bfc\u662f\u300c\u8bb2\u8bdd\u300d\u3002\uff08\u8fd9\u79cd\u5bf9\u5fc3\u7406\u5b66\u8f85\u5bfc\u7684\u6279\u8bc4\uff0c\u5f80\u5f80\u6765\u81ea\u65e0\u795e\u8bba\u8005\uff0c\u72b9\u592a\u6559\u5f92\uff0c\u4e0d\u4ec5\u4ec5\u6765\u81ea\u4fe1\u4ef0\u4fdd\u5b88\uff0c\u652f\u6301\u300a\u5723\u7ecf\u300b\u8f85\u5bfc\u7684\u57fa\u7763\u5f92\uff01\uff09\u8036\u7a23\u8bb2\u5230\u4eba\u300c\u6709\u75c5\u300d\u65f6\uff0c\u5f53\u7136\u662f\u55bb\u610f\u7684\u3002<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The myth of \u201cmental illness\u201d: what is \u201cillness\u201d?\u00a0 It is when you can observe a problem, prescribe medicine or do surgery.\u00a0 Counseling is just talk!\u00a0 (This critique of psychological counseling is raised not only by conservative Christians, but also secular writers, including Jews and atheists!)\u00a0\u00a0 Of course, Jesus speaks of \u201cillness\u201d as a metaphor.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\u662f\uff0c\u8f85\u5bfc\u662f\u300c\u8bb2\u8bdd\u300d\uff0c\u662f\u5e26\u6709\u9053\u5fb7\u89c2\u7684\u8bb2\u8bdd\u3002\u4e16\u4fd7\u7684\u5fc3\u7406\u8f85\u5bfc\u57fa\u4e8e\u4e16\u4fd7\u7684\u7406\u8bba\uff0c\u5b83\u662f\u4e0d\u5408\u300a\u5723\u7ecf\u300b\u7684\u4f26\u7406\u3002<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Counseling is \u201ctalk;\u201d it is \u201ctalk\u201d with an ethical perspective.\u00a0 Secular psychological counseling, based on secular theories, is \u201cnon-biblical ethics.\u201d<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\u975e\u300a\u5723\u7ecf\u300b\u8f85\u5bfc\u7684\u76ee\u6807\ufe55\u5fc3\u7406\u5e73\u8861\uff08\u5f17\u6765\u4f0a\u5fb7\uff09\uff0c\u300c\u81ea\u5c0a\u300d\uff0c\u300c\u81ea\u6211\u63a5\u7eb3\u300d\uff0c\u6216\u542b\u7cca\u4e0d\u6e05\u7684\u6240\u8c13\u300c\u5fc3\u7406\u5065\u5eb7\u300d\u3002<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Non-biblical counseling\u2019s goals: \u201cequilibrium\u201d (Freud), \u201cself-esteem,\u201d \u201cself-acceptance,\u201d or \u201cmental health\u201d (whatever that means).<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\u300a\u5723\u7ecf\u300b\u8f85\u5bfc\u7684\u76ee\u6807\u6765\u81ea\u300a\u63d0\u6469\u592a\u540e\u4e66\u300b3\ufe5516-17\ufe55\u300c\u6559\u8bad\uff0c\u7763\u8d23\uff0c\u4f7f\u4eba\u5f52\u6b63\uff0c\u6559\u5bfc\u4eba\u5b66\u4e49\u300d\u3002\u76ee\u6807\ufe55\u5e2e\u52a9\u4eba\u8fc7\u6709\u7eaa\u5f8b\u7684\u751f\u6d3b\uff0c\u9075\u4ece\u4e0a\u5e1d\u7684\u8bdd\uff0c\u7ed3\u51fa\u5723\u7075\u7684\u679c\u5b50\u3002Biblical counseling is an application of (obedience to) II Tim. 3:16-17: \u201cteaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness.\u201d\u00a0 The goal: that men and women live disciplined lives, obey God\u2019s Word, and bear the fruit of the Spirit.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>\u4e8b\u60c5\u7684\u6210\u56e0\u4e0e\u5f71\u54cd\u56e0\u7d20<\/strong><strong>Influences and Causation<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>\u4e09\u5341\u591a\u5e74\u6765\uff0c\u4e9a\u5f53\u65af\u88ab\u8bec\u544a\u3001\u66f2\u89e3\u3002\u57fa\u7763\u6559\u5fc3\u7406\u5b66\u5bb6\u8bf4\u4e9a\u5f53\u65af\u8ba4\u4e3a\u4eba\u7684\u95ee\u9898\u90fd\u6765\u81ea\u7f6a\uff0c\u6ca1\u6709\u8eab\u4f53\u4e0a\u7684\u56e0\u7d20\u5f71\u54cd\u4ed6\u3002\u5176\u5b9e\u4ece\u300a\u6210\u529f\u7684\u8f85\u5bfc\u300b\u9762\u4e16\u4ee5\u6765\uff08\u76ee\u524d\u4e2d\u8bd1\u672c\u540d\u300a\u5723\u7075\u7684\u529d\u6212\u300b\uff0c\u4e2d\u534e\u5c55\u671b\u51fa\u7248\uff09\uff0c\u4e9a\u5f53\u65af\u4e00\u76f4\u575a\u6301\uff0c\u6709\u8eab\u4f53\u800c\u6765\u7684\u56e0\u7d20\uff01\uff08\u4e9a\u5f53\u65af\u7684\u7f51\u7ad9\ufe55 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.timelesstexts.com\/\">www.timelesstexts.com<\/a>\u3002\uff09<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>For 30+ years, Jay E. Adams has been misquoted and maligned for saying that all counseling problems are due to sin; there are no physical factors involved.\u00a0 This cannot be further from the truth!\u00a0 From his first book, <em>Competent to Counsel<\/em>, he has said that there are factors related to the human body.\u00a0 (Adams\u2019 website: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.timelesstexts.com\/\">www.timelesstexts.com<\/a> .)<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\u300a\u5723\u7ecf\u300b\u8f85\u5bfc\u8fd0\u52a8\u6709\u533b\u751f\u548c\u7cbe\u795e\u79d1\u533b\u751f\u53c2\u4e0e\uff0c\u8bfb\u8005\u53ef\u53c2\u8003\u4ed6\u4eec\u7684\u8457\u4f5c\u3002<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Works\u00a0 by physicians and psychiatrists who have joined the Biblical counseling movement:\u00a0 Robert Smith, <em>A Christian Counselor\u2019s Medical Desk Reference<\/em>; Payne, <em>The Healing of Modern Medicine<\/em>; and Gary Almy, <em>How Christian is Christian Counseling?<\/em>.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\u663e\u7136\u5730\uff0c\u5bb6\u5ead\u662f\u5f71\u54cd\u884c\u4e3a\u7684\u91cd\u8981\u56e0\u7d20\uff0c\u53ef\u662f\u5b83\u4e0d\u662f\u552f\u4e00\u56e0\u7d20\u3002\u8fd9\u56e0\u7d20\uff08\u5305\u62ec\u4f24\u5bb3\uff09\uff0c\u9760\u57fa\u7763\u7684\u80fd\u529b\u7edd\u5bf9\u53ef\u4ee5\u80dc\u8fc7\uff01\u8fd8\u6709\u5176\u4ed6\u7684\u56e0\u7d20\uff0c\u5982\ufe55\u9057\u4f20\uff0c\u6210\u5e74\u7684\u7ecf\u9a8c\uff0c\u548c\u8eab\u4f53\uff08\u5927\u8111\uff0c\u795e\u7ecf\uff09\u7b49\u3002\uff08\u53c2\ufe55Edward Welch,\u300a\u90fd\u662f\u8111\u795e\u7ecf\u60f9\u7684\u7978\uff1f\u300b\u3002\uff09<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The family, obviously, is an important influence on behavior; but it is not the only influence.\u00a0 Certainly, it is an influence (injury) which Christ\u2019s power can overcome!\u00a0\u00a0 Other factors: heredity, adult experiences, and the body\/brain.\u00a0 (Cf. Ed Welch, <em>Blame It On the Brain?<\/em>)<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\u8fd9\u4e9b\u56e0\u7d20\u5305\u62ec\u6574\u4e2a\u5b87\u5b99\ufe55\uff08\u4e00\uff09\u4eba\u7684\u8eab\u4f53\uff1b\uff08\u4e8c\uff09\u7075\u754c\uff08\u9b54\u9b3c\u90aa\u7075\uff09\uff1b\uff08\u4e09\uff09\u7269\u8d28\u4e16\u754c\uff1b\uff08\u56db\uff09\u4eba\u7684\u7075\u9b42\uff08\u5c5e\u7075\u3001\u884c\u4e3a\u56e0\u7d20\uff09\u3002\u4e00\u5207\u90fd\u7531\u4e0a\u5e1d\u7684\u62a4\u7406\u638c\u7ba1\u3002<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>These factors are as wide as the universe, which includes: (a) man\u2019s body; (b) the spiritual realm (of Satan and the demons); (c) the physical universe; and (d) man\u2019s soul (spiritual = behavioral factors).\u00a0 All are under God\u2019s sovereign control (under his \u201cprovidence\u201d).<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\u6211\u4eec\u5e94\u8be5\u5982\u4f55\u7814\u7a76\u8fd9\u4e9b\u56e0\u7d20\uff1f\u6211\u4eec\u5fc5\u987b\u987a\u670d\u4e0a\u5e1d\u7684\u666e\u904d\u542f\u793a\u4e0e\u300a\u5723\u7ecf\u300b\u542f\u793a\uff0c\u6765\u5efa\u7acb\u6211\u4eec\u7684\u65b9\u6cd5\u8bba\u3002\uff08\u53c2\ufe55\u8303\u6cf0\u5c14\u7684\u8457\u4f5c\uff1b\u4e2d\u534e\u5c55\u671b\u62a4\u6559\u5b66\u8bb2\u4e49\u4e0e\u5f55\u97f3\u3002\uff09\u6211\u4eec\u624b\u4e0a\u65e2\u7136\u6709\u300a\u5723\u7ecf\u300b\u7684\u5168\u90e8\uff0866\u5377\uff09\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u5fc5\u987b\u987a\u670d\u300a\u5723\u7ecf\u300b\u6765\u7814\u7a76\uff08\u4e00\uff09\u6211\u4eec\u7684\u8eab\u4f53\uff0c\uff08\u4e8c\uff09\u6211\u4eec\u7684\u7075\u9b42\uff08\u4fe1\u4ef0\uff0c\u884c\u4e3a\uff09\uff0c\uff08\u4e09\uff09\u7269\u8d28\u4e16\u754c\uff0c\uff08\u56db\uff09\u4eba\u7c7b\uff0c\uff08\u4e94\uff09\u7075\u754c\uff1b\u548c\uff08\u5f53\u7136\uff09\uff08\u516d\uff09\u6211\u4eec\u5bf9\u4e0a\u5e1d\u7684\u8ba4\u8bc6\u3002\u5373\u662f\ufe55\u300a\u5723\u7ecf\u300b\u5728\uff08\u4e00\uff09\u4fe1\u4ef0\uff0c\uff08\u4e8c\uff09\u751f\u6d3b\uff0c\uff08\u4e09\uff09\u5386\u53f2\uff0c\uff08\u56db\u79d1\u5b66\u7684\u4e8b\u4e0a\uff0c\u90fd\u662f\u65e0\u8c2c\uff0c\u65e0\u8bef\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u7edd\u5bf9\u6700\u9ad8\u7684\u6743\u5a01\u3002But how should we study all these factors?\u00a0 We must build our \u201cmethod\u201d based on obedience to both general revelation and special revelation (the Bible).\u00a0 (Cf. Cornelius Van Til\u2019s works, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reformed.org\/\">www.reformed.org<\/a>.\u00a0 Also: China Horizon\u2019s apologetics lecture notes and audio.)\u00a0\u00a0 Since we <em>do<\/em> have 66 books of the Bible in our hands, we must submit to the Bible as the highest authority for our study of (a) our bodies, (b) our souls, (c) the physical universe, (d) mankind, and (e) the spiritual realm \u2013 and of course, in our knowledge of God himself.\u00a0\u00a0 I.e.: the Bible is inerrant, infallible and our highest authority in matters of (a) faith, (b) conduct, (c) history, and (d) science.\u00a0 (Cf. <em>Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy,<\/em> 1978; John M.
