say the truth\uff0c\u6211\u8bf4\u771f\u8bdd\u201d would have been sufficient certification on the apostle\u2019s part to arrest the attention of his readers\u3002\u4fdd\u7f57\u8bf4\u201c\u6211\u8bf4\u771f\u8bdd\uff0c\u6211\u8bf4\u5b9e\u8bdd\u201d\uff0c\u5c31\u8db3\u591f\u8bc1\u660e\u4e5f\u5f15\u8d77\u4ed6\u8bfb\u8005\u7684\u6ce8\u610f\uff08\u53c2\u8003\u63d0\u524d2:7\uff0c<em>cf.<\/em> I Tim 2:7)\u3002\u201c\u6211\u8bf4\u7684\u662f\u771f\u8bdd\u201d\uff0c\u5e76\u4e0d\u662f\u8c0e\u8a00\u3002But Paul adds what gives ultimate sanction to the veracity of assertion; \u4f46\u662f\uff0c\u4fdd\u7f57\u8bc9\u8bf8\u6700\u9ad8\u7684\u6743\u5a01\u6765\u8bc1\u5b9e\u4ed6\u7684\u8bdd\u7684\u771f\u5b9e\u6027; it is \u201cin Christ\u201d he speaks the truth about to be stated. \u4ed6\u5728\u4e0b\u6587\u8981\u8bf4\u7684\u662f \u201c\u5728\u57fa\u7763\u91cc\u201d\u8bf4\u7684\u3002<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn Christ \u201dhere refers to union with Christ. \u5728\u8fd9\u91cc\uff0c\u201c\u5728\u57fa\u7763\u91cc\u201d\u662f\u6307\u4e0e\u57fa\u7763\u7684\u8054\u5408\u3002It is not the formula of adjuration\u8fd9\u4e2a\u4e0d\u662f\u4e00\u4e2a\u53d1\u8a93\u7684\u65b9\u7a0b\u5f0f\uff0cnor in this instance is he appealing to the agency of Christ. \u8fd9\u91cc\u4fdd\u7f57\u4e5f\u4e0d\u662f\u6307\u57fa\u7763\u4e3a\u5f53\u4e8b\u8005\u3002Union with Christ is the orbit within which his emotions move and the spring from which they proceed. \u4fdd\u7f57\u7684\u60c5\u611f\u90fd\u56f4\u7ed5\u7740\u4e0e\u57fa\u7763\u8054\u5408\u7684\u8f68\u8ff9\uff0c\u800c\u4ed6\u7684\u60c5\u611f\u4e5f\u6e90\u81ea\u4e0e\u57fa\u7763\u8054\u5408\u8fd9\u4e2a\u6cc9\u6e90\u3002Thus the thing spoken of as \u201cthe truth\u201d derives its impulse and the guarantee of its propriety from this union. \u56e0\u6b64\u88ab\u6307\u4e3a\u662f\u771f\u8bdd\u7684\uff0c\u5b83\u7684\u52a8\u529b\u548c\u5b83\u7684\u6b63\u786e\u6027\u7684\u4fdd\u8bc1\uff0c\u90fd\u6e90\u81ea\u8fd9\u4e2a\u8054\u5408\u3002<\/p>\n<p>If we ask\u5047\u5982\u6211\u4eec\u95ee: why this form of certification\uff1f\u4e3a\u4ec0\u4e48\u7528\u8fd9\u4e2a\u65b9\u6cd5\u6765\u8bc1\u660e \uff1fthere are two reasons that may reasonably be suggested. \u53ef\u4ee5\u63d0\u51fa\u4e24\u4e2a\u5408\u7406\u7684\u539f\u56e0\u3002<\/p>\n<p>(1)\u7b2c\u4e00\u4e2a\u539f\u56e0\uff0cPaul&#8217;s denunciation of Jewry in the earlier part of the epistle must not be regarded as estrangement from his kinsman. \u4fdd\u7f57\u5728\u7f57\u9a6c\u4e66\u524d\u6587\u8c34\u8d23\u72b9\u592a\u4eba\uff0c\u8fd9\u4e0d\u53ef\u88ab\u770b\u4e3a\u662f\u4e0e\u4ed6\u7684\u540c\u80de\uff0c\u4ed6\u7684\u9aa8\u8089\u4e4b\u4eb2\u76f8\u9694\u79bb\u3002<\/p>\n<p>\uff082\uff09\u7b2c\u4e8c\u4e2a\u539f\u56e0This his statements by this formula.\u4e0d\u8fc7,\u65e0\u8bba\u5982\u4f55\uff0c\u4fdd\u7f57\u662f\u5178\u578b\u7684\u7528\u8fd9\u4e2a\u65b9\u7a0b\u5f0f\u6765\u652f\u6301\u4ed6\u7684\u5ba3\u79f0\u7684\u3002<\/p>\n<p>\u6211\u4eec\u6765\u770b\u4e00\u7cfb\u5217\u7684\u7ecf\u6587\u3002<em>Cf. Thess negative \u201cI lie likewise added according to Paul\u2019s pattern\u8fd9\u4e2a\u4e5f\u662f\u7b26\u5408\u4ed6\u4e00\u822c\u7684\u8bf4\u6cd5 to emphasize veracity of his utterance\uff0c\u6765\u52a0\u5f3a\u3001\u6765\u5f3a\u8c03\u4ed6\u7684\u8bdd\u7684\u771f\u5b9e\u6027\u3002<\/p>\n<p>\u6211\u4eec\u6765\u770b\u4e00\u4e9b\u7684\u7ecf\u6587\u3002Cf. \u826f\u5fc3\u82e5\u8d5e\u8bb8\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u5c31\u662f\u6709\u4e00\u9897\u597d\u7684\u6216\u8005\u6e05\u6d01\u7684\u826f\u5fc3\u3002When conscience disapproves and convicts of sin is most significant that he regards this witness as borne \u201cin the Holy Spirit\u201d. \u6700\u91cd\u8981\u7684\u662f\uff0c\u4ed6\u770b\u8fd9\u4e2a\u89c1\u8bc1\u662f\u201c\u5728\u5723\u7075\u91cc\u201d\u6240\u505a\u7684\u89c1\u8bc1\u3002<\/p>\n<p>Just as the certification of his earlier assertion is derived from union with Christ, so the veracity of the witness of his conscience is certified by the Holy Spirit. \u6b63\u5982\u5728\u524d\u6587\u4ed6\u6240\u58f0\u79f0\u7684\u662f\u6e90\u81ea\u4e0e\u57fa\u7763\u7684\u8054\u5408\uff0c\u540c\u6837\u4ed6\u826f\u5fc3\u7684\u89c1\u8bc1\u7684\u771f\u5b9e\u6027\u662f\u7531\u5723\u7075\u6240\u8bc1\u660e\u7684\u3002It is only as we are indwelt by the Holy Spirit and live in the Spirit, only as our minds are governed by the Spirit may we be assured that the voice of conscience is in conformity with truth and right.
