\u4e0a\u5e1d\u7684\u56de\u8bdd\u662f\u600e\u4e48\u8bf4\u7684\u5462\uff1f\u4ed6\u8bf4\uff1a\u201c\u6211\u4e3a\u81ea\u5df1\u7559\u4e0b\u4e03\u5343\u4eba\uff0c\u662f\u672a\u66fe\u5411\u5df4\u529b\u5c48\u819d\u7684\u3002\u201d<em>3\uff0c4<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0 Apart from inversion of order and some abridgment the quotation in verse 3 follows the Hebrew Greek of the passage concerned. particular interest of these verses is focused in the reply to Elijah\u2019s complaint and the relation of this answer to the apostle\u2019s theme. \u8fd9\u51e0\u8282\u7279\u522b\u5173\u6ce8\u4e0a\u5e1d\u5bf9\u4ee5\u5229\u4e9a\u7684\u63a7\u544a\u7684\u56de\u5e94\uff0c\u548c\u8fd9\u4e2a\u56de\u5e94\u4e0e\u4f7f\u5f92\u4fdd\u7f57\u8fd9\u91cc\u7684\u4e3b\u9898\u7684\u5173\u7cfb\u3002<\/p>\n<p>The answer (vs. 4) is taken from I Kings 19\uff1a18. \uff08\u7b2c4\u8282\uff09\u4e0a\u5e1d\u7684\u56de\u5e94\u662f\u5f15\u7528\u4e86\u738b\u4e0a19\uff1a18\u3002The reproduction\uff0c though conveying the thought\uff0c is modified from both the Hebrew and the Greek in accord with the freedom the apostle applies in other cases. \u4fdd\u7f57\u7684\u5f15\u6587\u4fee\u6539\u4e86\u5e0c\u4f2f\u6765\u6587\u548c\u5e0c\u814a\u6587\u7ffb\u8bd1\u672c\uff0c\u6839\u636e\u4fdd\u7f57\u591a\u6b21\u6240\u4f7f\u7528\u7684\u81ea\u7531\uff0c\u4ed6\u8fd9\u6837\u505a\u4e86\u3002The oracle is not merely that there were seven thousand left who had not bowed to Baal. \u4e0a\u5e1d\u7684\u6653\u8c15\u4e0d\u4ec5\u4ec5\u662f\u4ee5\u8272\u5217\u4e2d\u8fd8\u7559\u4e86\u4e03\u5343\u4eba\u6ca1\u6709\u5411\u5df4\u529b\u5c48\u819d\u7684\uff0c\u4e0d\u4ec5\u662f\u5982\u6b64\u3002Emphasis is placed upon God\u2019s action\uff1b \u91cd\u70b9\u662f\u653e\u5728\u4e0a\u5e1d\u7684\u4f5c\u4e3a\uff1b he had reserved these. \u4ed6\uff0c\u8036\u548c\u534e\uff0c\u4fdd\u7559\u4e86\u8fd9\u4e9b\u4eba\u3002And Paul introduces the thought that God had kept <strong><em>for himself<\/em><\/strong> the seven thousand. \u800c\u4e14\u4fdd\u7f57\u5f15\u8fdb\u8fd9\u4e2a\u6982\u5ff5\uff0c\u5c31\u662f\u4e0a\u5e1d\u662f<strong><em>\u4e3a\u81ea\u5df1<\/em><\/strong>\u7684\u7f18\u6545\u4fdd\u7559\u4e86\u8fd9\u4e03\u5343\u4eba\u7684\u3002There is the note of efficacious grace and differentiation. \u8fd9\u91cc\u5e26\u7740\u6709\u6548\u7684\u6069\u5178\u548c\u5206\u522b\u51fa\u6765\u7684\u8bed\u6c14\u3002The effectiveness of the discrimination is indicated by the way in which the result of God\u2019s preserving grace is stated\uff1a \u4e0a\u5e1d\u628a\u8fd9\u4e9b\u4eba\u5206\u8fa8\u51fa\u6765\u7684\u6709\u6548\u6027\u662f\u501f\u7740\u4fdd\u7f57\u6307\u51fa\u4e0a\u5e1d\u4fdd\u5b58\u7684\u6069\u5178\u7684\u7ed3\u679c\u7684\u8bf4\u6cd5\u800c\u663e\u51fa\u7684\uff1a they are men of such sort that they did not bow the knee to Baal. \u4ed6\u4eec\u662f\u8fd9\u4e00\u7c7b\u54c1\u683c\u7684\u4eba\uff0c\u5c31\u662f\u4ed6\u4eec\u672a\u66fe\u5411\u5df4\u529b\u5c48\u819d\u3002<\/p>\n<p>Though the number corrects Elijah\u2019s mistaken estimate of the situation and is far in excess of what his complaint would imply\uff0c yet it should be noted that there were only a remnant. \u867d\u7136\u4e03\u5343\u8fd9\u4e2a\u4eba\u6570\u8fd9\u4e2a\u6570\u76ee\u7ea0\u6b63\u4e86\u4ee5\u5229\u4e9a\u5bf9\u4e8b\u60c5\u7684\u4f30\u8ba1\uff0c\u8fdc\u8fdc\u8d85\u8fc7\u4ed6\u7684\u63a7\u544a\u6240\u6697\u793a\u7684\uff0c\u53ef\u662f\u6ce8\u610f\u5c31\u7b97\u662f\u4e03\u5343\u4ecd\u7136\u662f\u4f59\u6570\u6216\u8005\u4f59\u6c11\u800c\u5df2\u3002This fact underscores the widespread apostasy in Israel at that time and points to the parallel between Elijah\u2019s time and the apostle\u2019s. \u8fd9\u4e2a\u4e8b\u5b9e\u5c31\u5f3a\u8c03\u5f53\u65f6\u4ee5\u8272\u5217\u6c11\u666e\u904d\u7684\u6096\u9006\uff0c\u6307\u51fa\u4ee5\u5229\u4e9a\u7684\u5904\u5883\u548c\u4fdd\u7f57\u7684\u5904\u5883\u7684\u5e73\u8861\u6027\u3002This is a consideration basic to the apostle\u2019s use of the Old Testament passage. \u8fd9\u65b9\u9762\u7684\u8003\u8651\u5bf9\u4fdd\u7f57\u5982\u4f55\u4f7f\u7528\u8fd9\u6bb5\u65e7\u7ea6\u7684\u7ecf\u6587\u662f\u57fa\u672c\u7684\u4e00\u4e2a\u56e0\u7d20\u3002<\/p>\n<p>Notwithstanding the apostasy of Israel as a whole\uff0c yet there was a remnant\uff0c though only a remnant\uff0c whom God had kept for himself and preserved from the idolatry of Baal\u2019s worship. \u867d\u7136\u4ee5\u8272\u5217\u5e7f\u6cdb\u5730\u80cc\u53db\u4e0a\u5e1d\uff0c\u4f46\u662f\u4ecd\u7136\u662f\u6709\u4f59\u6c11\uff0c\u867d\u7136\u4ec5\u4ec5\u662f\u4f59\u6c11\uff0c\u4e0a\u5e1d\u4e3a\u7942\u81ea\u5df1\u4fdd\u7559\u4e86\u4ed6\u4eec\uff0c\u4e5f\u4fdd\u5b88\u4ed6\u4eec\u6ca1\u6709\u656c\u62dc\u5076\u50cf\u548c\u6ca1\u6709\u656c\u62dc\u5df4\u529b\u795e\u3002This example is adduced to prove that God had not cast off Israel as his chosen and beloved people. \u4fdd\u7f57\u63d0\u51fa\u8fd9\u4e2a\u4f8b\u5b50\u7528\u6765\u8bc1\u660e\u4e0a\u5e1d\u5e76\u6ca1\u6709\u5f03\u7edd\u4ee5\u8272\u5217\u7942\u6240\u7231\u7684\u9009\u6c11\u3002The import\uff0c therefore\uff0c is\uff0c\u56e0\u6b64\u8fd9\u91cc\u7684\u610f\u601d\u662f\uff0cthat the salvation of a small remnant from the total mass is sufficient proof that the people as a nation had not been cast off. \u4ece\u6574\u7fa4\u4e2d\u62ef\u6551\u4e86\u5c11\u6570\u7684\u4f59\u6c11\uff0c\u662f\u8db3\u591f\u7684\u8bc1\u636e\uff0c\u8bc1\u660e\u6574\u4e2a\u4ee5\u8272\u5217\u6c11\u5e76\u6ca1\u6709\u88ab\u5f03\u7edd\u3002<\/p>\n<p>\u73b0\u5728\u6765\u5230\u7f57\u9a6c\u4e6611\uff1a5-6\u3002<strong>\u5982\u4eca\u4e5f\u662f\u8fd9\u6837\uff0c\u7167\u7740\u62e3\u9009\u7684\u6069\u5178\uff0c\u8fd8\u6709\u6240\u7559\u7684\u4f59\u6570\u3002\u65e2\u662f\u51fa\u4e8e\u6069\u5178\uff0c\u5c31\u4e0d\u5728\u4e4e\u884c\u4e3a\uff1b\u4e0d\u7136\uff0c\u6069\u5178\u5c31\u4e0d\u662f\u6069\u5178\u4e86\u3002<em>5\uff0c6<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 From the parallel situation in the days of Elijah Paul makes the application to his own time\u4fdd\u7f57\u628a\u4ee5\u5229\u4e9a\u65f6\u671f\u7684\u5e73\u8861\u5904\u5883\u5e94\u7528\u5728\u4ed6\u7684\u65f6\u4ee3\u7684\u5904\u5883and concludes that there is a remnant according to the election of grace. \u4ed6\u7684\u7ed3\u8bba\u5c31\u662f\u6839\u636e\u4e0a\u5e1d\u6069\u5178\u7684\u62e3\u9009\uff0c\u4ecd\u7136\u6709\u4e00\u4e2a\u4f59\u6c11\u7684\u3002According to the argument there is a necessity for the remnant\uff0c\u6839\u636e\u4fdd\u7f57\u7684\u8bba\u8bc1\u4f59\u6c11\u7684\u5b58\u5728\u662f\u5fc5\u987b\u7684\uff0c however widespread may be Israel\u2019s unbelieving apostasy. \u65e0\u8bba\u4ee5\u8272\u5217\u7684\u4e0d\u4fe1\u548c\u80cc\u53db\u662f\u591a\u4e48\u7684\u5e7f\u6cdb\u3002The necessity resides in the fact that Israel God had loved and elected. \u8fd9\u4e2a\u5fc5\u987b\u6027\u662f\u5728\u4e8e\u4e00\u4ef6\u4e8b\u5b9e\uff0c\u5c31\u662f\uff0c\u4e0a\u5e1d\u5df2\u7ecf\u7231\u4e86\u3001\u62e3\u9009\u4e86\u4ee5\u8272\u5217\u3002For that reason they are \u201chis people which he foreknew\u201d. \u56e0\u6b64\u4ed6\u4eec\u662f\u4ed6\u6240\u9884\u77e5\u7684\u5b50\u6c11\u3002<\/p>\n<p>That he should utterly cast them off is incompatible with electing love. \u4e0a\u5e1d\u82e5\u5168\u7136\u5730\u5f03\u7edd\u4ed6\u4eec\uff0c\u4e43\u662f\u4e0e\u7942\u62e3\u9009\u7684\u7231\u662f\u4e0d\u4e00\u81f4\u7684\u3002The guaranteed that this abandonment had not occurred uh is not denial of the widespread apostasy with its resultant rejection on God\u2019s part but the existence of a remnant. \u5bf9\u4e0a\u5e1d\u6ca1\u6709\u5f03\u7edd\u4ee5\u8272\u5217\u7684\u4fdd\u8bc1\uff0c\u5e76\u4e0d\u7b49\u4e8e\u5426\u8ba4\u4ee5\u8272\u5217\u666e\u904d\u6027\u7684\u80cc\u53db\uff0c\u7ed3\u679c\u88ab\u4e0a\u5e1d\u62d2\u7edd\uff0c\u4e43\u662f\u4fdd\u8bc1\u4ecd\u7136\u662f\u6709\u9009\u6c11\u7684\u3001\u6709\u4f59\u6c11\u7684\u3002Therefore\uff0c\u56e0\u6b64\uff0csince God\u2019s \u201cforeknowledge\u201d cannot fail of its purpose\uff0c there is always a remnant.
