let&#8217;s look at Paul&#8217;s message \u6211\u4eec\u73b0\u5728\u770b\u4fdd\u7f57\u7684\u4fe1\u606f\uff0cfrom verse 22 on\uff0c\u4ece22\u8282\u770b\u4e0b\u53bb\uff0cto verse 23\uff0c\u770b\u523023\u8282\uff0cPaul says that you are very religious \u4fdd\u7f57\u8bf4\u4f60\u4eec\u662f\u975e\u5e38\u7684\u656c\u754f\u9b3c\u795e\uff0cverse 23\uff0cI found an altar that says to the unknown god \u56e0\u4e3a\u6211\u770b\u5230\u91cc\u9762\u6709\u4e00\u5ea7\u575b\uff0c\u4e0a\u9762\u5199\u7740\u8bf4\u201c\u672a\u8bc6\u4e4b\u795e\u201d\u3002what you worship as unknown this I proclaim to you\uff0c\u4f60\u4eec\u4e0d\u8ba4\u8bc6\u6240\u656c\u62dc\u7684\uff0c\u73b0\u5728\u6211\u5c31\u6765\u544a\u8bc9\u4f60\u4eec\uff0ccan man know God\uff1f\u4eba\u80fd\u8ba4\u8bc6\u795e\u5417\uff1fwe&#8217;re talking not about Christians\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u4e0d\u662f\u5728\u8bf4\u57fa\u7763\u5f92\uff0cthis is Paul&#8217;s gospel message \u8fd9\u662f\u4fdd\u7f57\u7684\u798f\u97f3\u4fe1\u606f can man know God\uff1f\u5230\u5e95\u4eba\u53ef\u4e0d\u53ef\u4ee5\u8ba4\u8bc6\u795e\uff1fPaul said what you worship as unknown I know and I will proclaim to you\u3002\u4fdd\u7f57\u8bf4\u4f60\u4eec\u6240\u656c\u62dc\u7684\u672a\u8bc6\u4e4b\u795e\uff0c\u6211\u8ba4\u8bc6\u3001\u6211\u8981\u6765\u544a\u8bc9\u4f60\u4eec\u3002<\/p>\n<p>since man&#8217;s deepest need is worship\u65e2\u7136\u4eba\u5185\u5fc3\u6700\u6df1\u5904\u7684\u9700\u8981\u662f\u656c\u62dc\uff0cman is going to look for an object for worship\u6240\u4ee5\u4eba\u8981\u627e\u4ed6\u53ef\u4ee5\u656c\u62dc\u7684\u4e1c\u897f\uff0cman and woman have always been looking for truth or for God\u3002\u4eba\u5c31\u4e00\u76f4\u5728\u5bfb\u627e\u771f\u7406\u3001\u5bfb\u627e\u795e\u3002Unfortunately we have found all kinds of God substitute\u4f46\u662f\u5f88\u53ef\u60dc\u7684\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u627e\u5230\u5f88\u591a\u795e\u7684\u4ee3\u66ff\u54c1\u3002<\/p>\n<p>In the 17 century\uff0c\u572817\u4e16\u7eaa\uff0cEuropeans substituted rationalism reason man&#8217;s reason for God&#8217;s word\u6b27\u6d32\u7684\u4eba\u7528\u7406\u6027\u4ee3\u66ff\u795e\u7684\u8bdd\u3002Reason is the ultimate judge of truth. \u4ed6\u4eec\u8ba4\u4e3a\u7406\u6027\u662f\u5224\u65ad\u771f\u7406\u7684\u3002<\/p>\n<p>In the 18 century\uff0c\u572818\u4e16\u7eaa\uff0cman substituted science for God\u3002\u4eba\u79d1\u5b66\u6765\u4ee3\u66ff\u4e86\u795e\u3002<\/p>\n<p>In the 19 century\uff0c\u572819\u4e16\u7eaa\uff0cEuropeans agreed with Emmanuel Kant \u6b27\u6d32\u4eba\u540c\u610f\u5eb7\u5fb7\u5728\uff0cthat the universe really doesn&#8217;t have any truth that you can know \u5c31\u662f\u5728\u8fd9\u4e2a\u5b87\u5b99\u91cc\u9762\uff0c\u6ca1\u6709\u771f\u7406\u5b58\u5728\uff0cat least you cannot know truth through reason or through science\u81f3\u5c11\u662f\u4f60\u4eec\u4e0d\u80fd\u4ece\u79d1\u5b66\u6216\u8005\u7406\u6027\u65b9\u9762\u53bb\u5f97\u5230\u771f\u7406\uff0cyou can only know the truth in a subjective world\u4f60\u4eec\u53ea\u80fd\u591f\u501f\u52a9\u4e3b\u89c2\u53bb\u77e5\u9053\u771f\u7406\u3002so you see 19 century European philosophy\uff0c\u6240\u4ee5\u4f60\u770b19\u4e16\u7eaa\u7684\u54f2\u5b66\uff0cyou&#8217;ll find men and women finding all kinds of subjective and relative things to substitute God\u4f60\u4eec\u770b\u5230\u5f53\u65f6\u4ee3\u7684\u4eba\uff0c\u4ed6\u4eec\u6709\u5f88\u591a\u4e3b\u89c2\u7684\uff0c\u751a\u81f3\u76f8\u5bf9\u7684\u4e1c\u897f\u6765\u4ee3\u66ff\u795e\u3002romanticism\u6d6a\u6f2b\u4e3b\u4e49\uff0ca feeling instead of God\uff0c\u611f\u89c9\u6765\u4ee3\u66ff\u795e\uff0cexistentialism\uff0c\u5b58\u5728\u4e3b\u4e49\uff0chow I feel right now \u6211\u73b0\u5728\u611f\u89c9\u5230\u4ec0\u4e48 that&#8217;s a substitute for God\u7528\u6765\u4ee3\u66ff\u795e\uff1bmaterialism\uff0c\u552f\u7269\u8bba\u4e3b\u4e49\uff0cmatter instead of God\uff0c\u7269\u8d28\u7684\u4e1c\u897f\u6765\u4ee3\u66ff\u795e\u3002Sigmund Freud\uff0cpsychology\uff0c\u5f17\u6d1b\u4f0a\u5fb7\uff0c\u4e00\u4e2a\u975e\u5e38\u8457\u540d\u7684\u5fc3\u7406\u5b66\u5bb6\uff0cman&#8217;s subconscious feelings and drives instead of God \u4eba\u7684\u6f5c\u610f\u8bc6\u7528\u6765\u4ee3\u66ff\u795e\u3002and we can name many more \u6211\u4eec\u53ef\u4ee5\u8bb2\u5f88\u591a\u7684\u4f8b\u5b50\u3002<\/p>\n<p>what about the 20 century\uff1f\u4f46\u662f\u572820\u4e16\u7eaa\u5462\uff1fthe 20 century simply takes the nineteenth century ideas and put them into practice\uff0c20\u4e16\u7eaa\u5c31\u628a19\u4e16\u7eaa\u7684\u6240\u6709\u7684\u4e00\u4e9b\u7406\u5ff5\u4ed8\u8bf8\u884c\u52a8\u3002now I have been telling you that we are the most fortunate people that have ever lived .\u6211\u5df2\u7ecf\u8bf4\u8fc7\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u662f\u6709\u53f2\u4ee5\u6765\u6765\u6700\u5e78\u8fd0\u7684\u4eba\u3002however we have just lived through one of the most horrible centuries in human history\u3002\u5c3d\u7ba1\u6211\u4eec\u7ecf\u8fc7\u4eba\u7c7b\u5386\u53f2\u4e0a\u6700\u53ef\u6015\u7684\u51e0\u4e2a\u4e16\u7eaa\u4e2d\u7684\u4e00\u4e2a\uff0cmost of us didn&#8217;t live through those Wars and revolutions \u6211\u4eec\u5f88\u591a\u7684\u4eba\u6ca1\u6709\u7ecf\u8fc7\u90a3\u4e9b\u6218\u4e89\u548c\u9769\u547d\uff0cwe try to emigrate \u56e0\u4e3a\u6211\u4eec\u5c3d\u529b\u9003\u907f\u4e86\u3002<\/p>\n<p>Can men find God\uff1f\u4eba\u53ef\u4ee5\u627e\u5230\u795e\u5417\uff1fnot with his own resources \u4e0d\u662f\u9760\u51ed\u7740\u4ed6\u81ea\u5df1\u7684\u80fd\u529b\u3002what about Chinese people\uff1f\u90a3\u4e48\u4e2d\u56fd\u4eba\u5462\uff1fwhat are some substitutes for God that we have put up\uff1f\u6211\u4eec\u7528\u6765\u4ee3\u66ff\u795e\u7684\u662f\u4ec0\u4e48\u4e1c\u897f\uff1fI know you&#8217;re gonna say zip code.\uff08\u7b11\u58f0\uff09\u6211\u77e5\u9053\u4f60\u4f1a\u8bf4\u662f\u90ae\u5bc4\u53f7\u7801\u3002This is contemporary Chinese in North America\u8fd9\u662f\u5317\u7f8e\u534e\u4eba\u7684\u8d8b\u5411\u3002but for two thousand years\uff0c\u4f46\u662f2\uff0c000\u5e74\u6765\uff0cthe Chinese people have been so proud of their own culture \u4e2d\u56fd\u4eba\u5bf9\u81ea\u5df1\u7684\u6587\u5316\u7684\u975e\u5e38\u7684\u9a84\u50b2\uff0cso Chinese culture becomes a substitute for God \u6240\u4ee5\u4e2d\u56fd\u6587\u5316\u6210\u4e3a\u6211\u4eec\u7684\u5076\u50cf\u3002<\/p>\n<p>If we have an Olympic Games \u5047\u5982\u6709\u4e00\u4e2a\u5965\u6797\u5339\u514b\u7684\u6bd4\u8d5b to compete which people are the most proud \u54ea\u4e00\u56fd\u4eba\u662f\u6700\u9a84\u50b2\u7684\uff1fChinese will win many many many gold medals \u6211\u4eec\u4e2d\u56fd\u4eba\u53ef\u80fd\u5c31\u4f1a\u8d62\u5f88\u591a\u91d1\u724c\uff1bAmericans win some silver \u53ef\u80fd\u7f8e\u56fd\u4eba\u5c31\u4f1a\u8d62\u4e00\u4e9b\u94f6\u724c and also Jews and Germans \u8fd8\u6709\u72b9\u592a\u4eba\u548c\u5fb7\u56fd\u4eba\u3002we are so proud of our culture \u6211\u4eec\u5bf9\u81ea\u5df1\u7684\u6587\u5316\u7684\u80cc\u666f\u662f\u591a\u4e48\u9a84\u50b2 for those of us who used to live in Beijing \u90a3\u4e9b\u4ece\u5317\u4eac\u6765\u7684\uff0cyou know that you live in the center of the world \u4f60\u4eec\u77e5\u9053\u4f60\u4eec\u662f\u5728\u8fd9\u4e2a\u4e16\u754c\u7684\u4e2d\u5fc3 the way you talk tell us that you live in the center of of culture and civilization \u4ece\u4f60\u8bb2\u8bdd\u7684\u6001\u5ea6\u5c31\u53ef\u4ee5\u770b\u5f97\u51fa\u4f60\u4f4f\u5728\u6587\u660e\u7684\u4e2d\u5fc3\u3002can man know God\uff1f\u4eba\u5230\u5e95\u53ef\u4ee5\u8ba4\u8bc6\u8ba4\u8bc6\u795e\u5417\uff1fNo\uff0cbecause we have substituted something else in God&#8217;s place\u3002\u7b54\u6848\u662f\uff1a\u4e0d\u80fd\uff0c\u56e0\u4e3a\u6211\u4eec\u7528\u5f88\u591a\u7684\u4e1c\u897f\u6765\u4ee3\u66ff\u4e86\u795e\u3002<\/p>\n<p>the concept in verse 23\uff0c\u572823\u8282\u91cc\u9762\u8bb2\uff0cwhat you worship as unknown I now proclaim to you \u4f60\u4eec\u6240\u4e0d\u8ba4\u8bc6\u7684\u795e\uff0c\u73b0\u5728\u6211\u8981\u544a\u8bc9\u4f60\u77e5\u9053\u3002Man does not know God because he doesn&#8217;t want to know God\u3002\u4eba\u4e0d\u8ba4\u8bc6\u795e\uff0c\u56e0\u4e3a\u4ed6\u4eec\u4e0d\u613f\u610f\u53bb\u8ba4\u8bc6\u795e\u3002I didn&#8217;t say that\uff0cbut Paul said that\uff0c\u4e0d\u662f\u6211\u8bb2\u7684\uff0c\u662f\u4fdd\u7f57\u8bb2\u7684\uff0cin Romans chapter 1\uff0c\u5728\u7f57\u9a6c\u4e66\u7b2c\u4e00\u7ae0\uff0cverse 20 to verse 18\uff0cthat&#8217;s right backward from 20 to 18\uff0c\u5012\u8fc7\u6765\u4ece20-18\u8282\uff0cyou&#8217;re listening\uff1aRoman chapter 1verse 20\uff0c\u7f57\u9a6c\u4e661:20\u8282\uff0cthen verse 19\uff0c\u7136\u540e19\u8282\uff0cthen 18\uff0c\u7136\u540e18\u8282\uff1aall men know God\uff0c\u6240\u6709\u7684\u4eba\u90fd\u8ba4\u8bc6\u795e\uff0cbecause God has made himself known through nature \u56e0\u4e3a\u4e0a\u5e1d\u900f\u8fc7\u5927\u81ea\u7136\u663e\u660e\u7942\u81ea\u5df1\uff0cand also in human heart and mind\u4e5f\u5728\u4eba\u7684\u5fc3\u91cc\u9762\u663e\u660e\uff0cso all men know God \u6240\u4ee5\u6240\u6709\u7684\u4eba\u90fd\u77e5\u9053\u795emen do not know God because men don&#8217;t want to know God\u4eba\u4e0d\u8ba4\u8bc6\u795e\uff0c\u662f\u56e0\u4e3a\u4eba\u4e0d\u60f3\u8ba4\u8bc6\u795e\uff0cand Paul says now I proclaim to you\u4f46\u662f\u4fdd\u7f57\u8bf4\u6211\u73b0\u5728\u544a\u8bc9\u4f60 so every human being knows God deep down in his or her mind\u3002<\/p>\n<p>\u56e0\u6b64\uff0c\u6bcf\u4e00\u4e2a\u4eba\u7684\u5185\u5fc3\u7684\u6df1\u5904\u8ba4\u8bc6\u77e5\u9053\u795e\uff0ctherefore there is hope in the 21 century\uff0c\u56e0\u6b64\u572821\u4e16\u7eaa\uff0c\u4eba\u5c31\u6709\u8fd9\u4e2a\u5e0c\u671b\uff0cas you talk to broken heart \u5f53\u4f60\u5bf9\u4e00\u4e2a\u7834\u788e\u7684\u5fc3\u7075\u8bb2\u8bdd\u7684\u65f6\u5019\uff0cdeep down in that broken heart\uff0c\u5728\u90a3\u4e2a\u7834\u788e\u7684\u5fc3\u7075\u7684\u6df1\u5904 God has spoken to him or her before \u795e\u5df2\u7ecf\u5148\u5bf9\u4ed6\u4eec\u8bb2\u8fc7\u8bdd\u4e86\u3002We do not begin a conversation with a non Christian person\u4e0d\u662f\u6211\u4eec\u5f00\u59cb\u4e2a\u4e00\u4e2a\u975e\u57fa\u7763\u5f92\u8bb2\u8bdd\uff0cwe don&#8217;t start that conversation \u4e0d\u662f\u6211\u4eec\u5f00\u59cb\u8fd9\u6837\u7684\u4e00\u4e2a\u5bf9\u8c08 God has started speaking in that heart \u795e\u5df2\u7ecf\u5f00\u59cb\u5728\u4ed6\u4eec\u7684\u5fc3\u91cc\u9762\u8bb2\u8bdd\u3002<\/p>\n<p>and then Paul says I proclaim this to you\u4fdd\u7f57\u8bf4\u6211\u8981\u628a\u8fd9\u4e2a\u5bf9\u4f60\u4eec\u8bb2\u8bba that means that in addition to God speaking in nature \u610f\u601d\u662f\u795e\u501f\u7740\u5927\u81ea\u7136\u8bb2\u8bdd\u4ee5\u5916\uff0cand in addition to God speaking in every human being&#8217;s mind and heart\u9664\u4e86\u795e\u5728\u4eba\u7684\u5185\u5fc3\u8bb2\u8bdd\u4ee5\u5916\uff0cGod has come into time and space\uff0cGod has come into history \u795e\u8fdb\u5230\u65f6\u95f4\u548c\u7a7a\u95f4\uff0c\u8fdb\u5230\u4eba\u7c7b\u7684\u5386\u53f2\uff1b and had spoken to us\u5bf9\u6211\u4eec\u8bb2\u8bdd\u3002The climax of that speaking is Jesus Christ \u8bb2\u8bdd\u7684\u9ad8\u5cf0\u5c31\u662f\u8036\u7a23\u57fa\u7763 and so because God has chosen to speak to us\u56e0\u4e3a\u795e\u9009\u62e9\u5bf9\u6211\u4eec\u8bb2\u8bdd\uff0ctherefore men and women can know God \u6240\u4ee5\u4eba\u53ef\u4ee5\u8ba4\u8bc6\u795e\u3002<\/p>\n<p>Young people know this very well \u5e74\u8f7b\u4eba\u5bf9\u8fd9\u4e00\u70b9\u975e\u5e38\u6e05\u695a in there in your English literature classes \u5728\u4f60\u4eec\u7684\u82f1\u6587\u7684\u90a3\u6587\u5b66\u8bfe\u4e0a\uff0cyou know that the most important problem in philosophy today\u4f60\u4eec\u77e5\u9053\u4eca\u5929\u7684\u54f2\u5b66\u4e0a\u6700\u5927\u7684\u95ee\u9898\u662f it&#8217;s not rationalism\u4e0d\u662f\u7406\u6027\u4e3b\u4e49\uff0cnot science\u4e0d\u662f\u79d1\u5b66\uff0cnot romanticism\u4e0d\u662f\u6d6a\u6f2b\u4e3b\u4e49\uff0cnot existentialism\u4e0d\u662f\u5b58\u5728\u4e3b\u4e49\uff0cthe most important problem in philosophy today \u5728\u4eca\u5929\u54f2\u5b66\u7684\u6700\u5927\u7684\u95ee\u9898\u662fis what is language\uff1f\u8bed\u8a00\u662f\u4ec0\u4e48\uff1fis there a meaning in every thousand dollars to send your children to university for four years \u4f60\u4e3a\u4ec0\u4e48\u8981\u5b5812\u4e07\u7f8e\u5143\u6765\u9001\u4ed6\u4eec\u53bb\u8bfb\u56db\u5e74\u5927\u5b66\uff1fDo you know what they are learning\uff1f\u4f60\u77e5\u9053\u4ed6\u4eec\u5728\u5b66\u4ec0\u4e48\u4e1c\u897f\u5417\uff1fI don&#8217;t have time to to explain about why language is the most important philosophical issue in the twenty first century\uff0c\u6211\u4eca\u5929\u6ca1\u6709\u5f88\u591a\u7684\u65f6\u95f4\u89e3\u91ca\u6e05\u695a\u4e3a\u4ec0\u4e4821\u4e16\u7eaa\u6700\u91cd\u8981\u7684\u54f2\u5b66\u95ee\u9898\u662f\u8bed\u8a00\u7684\u95ee\u9898\uff0cbut I&#8217;ll give you a biblical answer very quickly \u4f46\u662f\u6211\u53ef\u4ee5\u7ed9\u4f60\u4e00\u4e2a\u5723\u7ecf\u7684\u7b80\u77ed\u56de\u7b54men and women\uff0cwe borrow language from God\u4eca\u5929\u6211\u4eec\u4eba\u662f\u4ece\u795e\u90a3\u91cc\u501f\u5230\u8bed\u8a00\uff0clanguage is a gift from God \u8bed\u8a00\u662f\u4e0a\u5e1d\u7ed9\u6211\u4eec\u7684\u6069\u8d50\u3002<\/p>\n<p>when Adam and Eve were created \u5f53\u4e9a\u5f53\u4e0e\u590f\u5a03\u88ab\u521b\u9020\u7684\u65f6\u5019\uff0cthe first thing they did was not to speak\u7b2c\u4e00\u4ef6\u4e8b\u60c5\u4ed6\u4eec\u4e0d\u662f\u8bb2\u8bdd\uff0cthe first thing that they experience is God spoke.\u4ed6\u4eec\u7ecf\u5386\u7684\u7b2c\u4e00\u4ef6\u4e8b\u60c5\u662f\u795e\u5bf9\u4ed6\u4eec\u8bb2\u8bdd\uff0cbecause God speaks \u56e0\u4e3a\u795e\u8bb2\u8bdd\uff0ctherefore we speak\uff0cwe write and we listen.\u56e0\u6b64\u6211\u4eec\u8bb2\u8bdd\u3001\u6211\u4eec\u4e66\u5199\u3001\u6211\u4eec\u8046\u542c\u3002God has chosen to speak to us .\u4e0a\u5e1d\u9009\u62e9\u5bf9\u6211\u4eec\u8bb2\u8bdd\uff0cand he also performed acts to save us from sin\u7942\u8fd8\u91c7\u53d6\u884c\u52a8\u6551\u8d4e\u6211\u4eec\u8131\u79bb\u7f6a\uff0cand so the Bible is a book with words\u56e0\u6b64\u6211\u4eec\u770b\u5230\u5723\u7ecf\u4e0a\u9762\u5c31\u662f\u6587\u5b57\u8bed\u8a00\uff0cwords carry ideas \u8bed\u8a00\u6587\u5b57\u5e26\u6709\u89c2\u5ff5words carry truth \u8bed\u8a00\u5e26\u6709\u771f\u7406\u3002<\/p>\n<p>Today many evangelical theologians tell us that the Bible is not about truth \u4eca\u5929\u5f88\u591a\u798f\u97f3\u6d3e\u795e\u5b66\u5bb6\u544a\u8bc9\u6211\u4eec\u5723\u7ecf\u4e0d\u662f\u5173\u4e8e\u771f\u7406\u7684\uff0cthe Bible is stories\uff0cnarrative \u5723\u7ecf\u91cc\u9762\u53ea\u4e0d\u8fc7\u662f\u6545\u4e8b\u3001\u53d9\u4e8b\u3002You see the word narrative \u53d9\u8ff0\uff0c\uff08\u7b11\u58f0\uff09the word narrative has become a substitute word for truth today \u53d9\u8ff0\u8fd9\u4e2a\u8bcd\u5c31\u53d8\u6210\u4e00\u4e2a\u771f\u7406\u7684\u4ee3\u66ff\u3002\u4f60\u4eec\u77e5\u9053\u6211\u8bb2\u4ec0\u4e48\u5417\uff1fand so brothers and sisters\uff0cdon&#8217;t let anybody tell you that the Bible is not a book of doctrines or truths \u6240\u4ee5\u5f1f\u5144\u59d0\u59b9\u4eec\uff0c\u4eca\u5929\u4e0d\u8981\u8ba9\u4eba\u544a\u8bc9\u6211\u4eec\u8bf4\u5723\u7ecf\u4e0d\u662f\u8bb2\u6559\u4e49\u6216\u771f\u7406\u7684\u3002<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;d like to remind our young people \u6211\u8981\u63d0\u9192\u6211\u4eec\u7684\u5e74\u8f7b\u4eba that among your generation \u5728\u4f60\u4eec\u8fd9\u4e00\u4ee3\u4eba\u91cc\u9762 what do I mean by your generation\uff1f\u6211\u8bf4\u4f60\u4eec\u8fd9\u4e00\u4ee3\u5230\u5e95\u662f\u4ec0\u4e48\u610f\u601d\uff1fthat means high school students in Evangelical churches in the USA \u5c31\u662f\u90a3\u4e9b\u5728\u8fd9\u4e2a\u798f\u97f3\u6d3e\u6559\u4f1a\u91cc\u9762\u7684\u90a3\u4e9b\u4e2d\u5b66\u751f that&#8217;s you\u5c31\u662f\u4f60\u4eecand perhaps that would include university students as well \u5728\u5927\u5b66\u91cc\u9762\u7684\u5b66\u751f\u6216\u8005\u53ef\u4ee5\u5305\u62ec\u5728\u91cc\u9762 surveys show that ninety one percent of you do not believe in absolute truth \u7edf\u8ba1\u663e\u793a 91%\u7684\u5e74\u8f7b\u4eba\uff0c\u4ed6\u4eec\u4e0d\u76f8\u4fe1\u6709\u7edd\u5bf9\u771f\u7406\u7684\u5b58\u5728 remember we&#8217;re talking about Christian young people in Bible believing Churches\u8bb0\u4f4f\u6211\u4eec\u8bf4\u7684\u662f\u5728\u76f8\u4fe1\u5723\u7ecf\u7684\u798f\u97f3\u6d3e\u7684\u6559\u4f1a\u91cc\u9762\u7684\u90a3\u4e9b\u5e74\u8f7b\u4eba\u3002<\/p>\n<p>now this should not surprise us\u8fd9\u4e2a\u5bf9\u6211\u4eec\u6765\u8bb2\u4e0d\u8981\u610f\u5916 because your English teacher&#8217;s been teaching you all this all along \u56e0\u4e3a\u4f60\u4eec\u7684\u82f1\u8bed\u8001\u5e08\u4e00\u76f4\u5728\u6559\u5bfc\u4f60\u4eec\u8fd9\u4e9b\u4e1c\u897f\uff0cthey&#8217;ve been telling you that books or text has no meaning \u4ed6\u4eec\u4e00\u76f4\u5728\u544a\u8bc9\u4f60\u4eec\u4e66\u672c\u4e0a\u6216\u8005\u6587\u672c\u662f\u6ca1\u6709\u610f\u601d\u7684\uff0ctext \u6587\u672c\uff0cwe have to learn a new vocabulary \u6211\u4eec\u5f97\u5b66\u4e60\u4e00\u4e2a\u65b0\u7684\u8bcd\u6c47 a text that means it is anything that can be interpreted \u6587\u672c\u5c31\u662f\u8bf4\u968f\u7740\u4f60\u7684\u610f\u601d\u53bb\u89e3\u91ca\u7684 yeah it&#8217;s a book for example that can be interpreted \u5c31\u662f\u597d\u50cf\u4e00\u672c\u4e66\u4f60\u5c31\u968f\u4fbf\u53bb\u89e3\u91ca\u91cc\u9762\u7684\u5b57 not a only a book a hex a hex is anything that you can interpret it can be a cup\u4e00\u672c\u8fd9\u4e2a\u6587\u672c\u5c31\u662f\u4e00\u6837\u4e1c\u897f\u968f\u4fbf\u662f\u65e0\u8bba\u662f\u4e00\u6837\u4efb\u4f55\u7684\u4e1c\u897f\uff0c\u4f60\u53ef\u4ee5\u53bb\u89e3\u91ca\u7684 a text that means anything has no meaning\u56e0\u6b64\uff0c\u4e00\u4e2a\u6587\u672c\u662f\u6ca1\u6709\u5b83\u7684\u610f\u601d it&#8217;s all up to you how you interpret it \u6240\u4ee5\u662f\u968f\u7740\u4f60\u7684\u610f\u601d\u53bb\u8bf4\uff0c\u600e\u4e48\u6837\u89e3\u91ca\u5b83\u3002<\/p>\n<p>now our high school English teacher has been teaching our young people this for many years now \u4eca\u5929\u6211\u4eec\u8fd9\u4e2a\u4e2d\u5b66\u7684\u82f1\u6587\u8001\u5e08\u4e00\u76f4\u5f88\u591a\u5e74\u6765 \u5c31\u8fd9\u6837\u6559\u5bfc\u6211\u4eec\u7684\u5b69\u5b50\u4eec and that is why many of our young people lose their faith uh just the first semester in university\u8fd9\u5c31\u662f\u4e3a\u4ec0\u4e48\u6211\u4eec\u8bb8\u591a\u7684\u5e74\u8f7b\u4eba\u5728\u5927\u5b66\u7b2c\u4e00\u5b66\u671f\u5c31\u5931\u53bb\u4e86\u4fe1\u4ef0\u3002now we we thank God that many of them do not lose their faith at college \u6211\u4eec\u611f\u8c22\u795e\u4ed6\u4eec\u4e2d\u95f4\u5f88\u591a\u4eba\u6ca1\u6709\u5931\u53bb\u4ed6\u4eec\u7684\u4fe1\u5fc3 they love God \u4ed6\u4eec\u7231\u795e they love Jesus\u4ed6\u4eec\u7231\u4e3b\u8036\u7a23 they go on short term mission trips\u4ed6\u4eec\u53c2\u52a0\u77ed\u5ba3 after college\u5728\u5927\u5b66\u4e4b\u540e they want to return to our churches \u4ed6\u4eec\u8981\u56de\u5230\u6559\u4f1a\u91cc\u9762\u3002however ninety one percent of them do not believe in absolute truth\u5c3d\u7ba1\u4ed6\u4eec\u4e2d\u95f491% \u4e0d\u627f\u8ba4\u6709\u7edd\u5bf9\u771f\u7406\u3002<\/p>\n<p>again we&#8217;re talking about young people who love Jesus\u4f60\u8981\u8bb0\u5f97\u6211\u4eec\u662f\u8bb2\u90a3\u4e9b\u7231\u4e3b\u8036\u7a23\u7684\u5e74\u8f7b\u4eba\uff0cwe&#8217;re talking about people in our church our own children\u6211\u4eec\u662f\u5728\u8bb2\u6211\u4eec\u6559\u4f1a\u91cc\u9762\u7684\u5e74\u8f7b\u4eba\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u7684\u5b69\u5b50\u4eec\uff0cperhaps I should define what the word absolute truth mean \u6216\u8005\u6211\u5e94\u8be5\u8bf4\u8ddf\u4f60\u4eec\u89e3\u91ca\u4e00\u4e0b\u7edd\u5bf9\u771f\u7406\u662f\u4ec0\u4e48\u610f\u601d\u3002absolute truth means that there are truths that do not change according to culture \u7edd\u5bf9\u771f\u7406\u5c31\u662f\u4e0d\u56e0\u6587\u5316\u800c\u6539\u53d8\u7684\u771f\u7406\uff0cthere are certain things that do not change \u8fd9\u4e9b\u4e8b\u60c5\u662f\u4e0d\u6539\u53d8\u7684\uff0cthe Ten Commandments will always be true \u5341\u8beb\u6c38\u8fdc\u662f\u771f\u7406\u7684\uff0cGod will always be holy\u795e\u6c38\u8fdc\u662f\u5723\u6d01\u7684\uff0cand we need to remind ourselves first or second generation that the Bible teaches us absolute truths \u56e0\u6b64 \u6211\u4eec\u8981\u5e38\u5e38\u7684\u63d0\u9192\u6211\u4eec\uff0c\u4e0d\u7ba1\u662f\u6211\u4eec\u662f\u7b2c\u4e00\u4ee3\u7684\u79fb\u6c11\uff0c\u8fd8\u662f\u7b2c\u4e8c\u4ee3\uff0c\u5723\u7ecf\u6559\u5bfc\u6211\u4eec\u7edd\u5bf9\u7684\u771f\u7406\u3002<\/p>\n<p>Now let&#8217;s take a look at some of the absolute truths that Paul preached on that day \u6211\u4eec\u73b0\u5728\u770b\u770b\u4fdd\u7f57\u90a3\u5929\u6240\u8bb2\u7684\u7edd\u5bf9\u771f\u7406 \uff1averse 24\uff0c24\u8282\uff0cthe God who made the world and everything in it being Lord of heaven and earth does not live in temples made by men\uff0c\u521b\u9020\u5b87\u5b99\u548c\u5176\u4e2d\u4e07\u7269\u7684\u3000\u795e\uff0c\u65e2\u662f\u5929\u5730\u7684\u4e3b\uff0c\u5c31\u4e0d\u4f4f\u4eba\u624b\u6240\u9020\u7684\u6bbf\uff0cPaul is saying two things about God \u8fd9\u91cc\u4fdd\u7f57\u8bb2\u5230\u5173\u4e8e\u795e\u4e24\u4ef6\u4e8b number one\u7b2c\u4e00\u4ef6\uff0cGod created the universe \u795e\u521b\u9020\u5b87\u5b99\uff0cnumber two\u7b2c\u4e8c\u70b9\uff0cGod is the owner of the universe \u4e0a\u5e1d\u662f\u5b87\u5b99\u7684\u6240\u6709\u8005 first of all God created heavens and earth\u7b2c\u4e00\u70b9\u4e0a\u5e1d\u521b\u9020\u5929\u5730 and secondly he is the Lord of heaven and earth\u7b2c\u4e8c\u70b9 \u7942\u662f\u5929\u5730\u7684\u4e3b\u5bb0\uff0cour God is eternal \u6211\u4eec\u7684\u795e\u662f\u6c38\u6052\u7684\u3002<\/p>\n<p>what does the word eternal mean\uff1f\u6c38\u6052\u662f\u4ec0\u4e48\u610f\u601d\u5462\uff1fit means God is Lord over time \u6c38\u6052\u7684\u610f\u601d\u662f\u795e\u662f\u65f6\u95f4\u7684\u4e3b\u5bb0eternal does not mean limitless time \u6c38\u6052\u5e76\u4e0d\u662f\u8bf4\u65e0\u9650\u7684\u65f6\u95f4\uff0climitless time is still time\u56e0\u4e3a\u65e0\u9650\u7684\u65f6\u95f4\u4ecd\u7136\u662f\u65f6\u95f4\uff0cEternity is Lordship over time \u4f46\u662f\u6c38\u6052\u662f\u795e\u7684\u4e3b\u6743\u5728\u65f6\u95f4\u4e4b\u4e0a\u3002What does the word infinite mean\uff1f\u90a3\u4e48\u90a3\u4e2a\u65e0\u9650\u662f\u4ec0\u4e48\u610f\u601d\u5462\uff1fThat is God is infinite\u6211\u4eec\u8bf4\u795e\u662f\u65e0\u9650\u7684\uff0cit is not just limitless space \u5e76\u4e0d\u662f\u8bf4\u65e0\u9650\u7684\u4e00\u4e2a\u7a7a\u95f4 God is Lord over space \u800c\u662f\u8bf4\u795e\u4e5f\u662f\u7a7a\u95f4\u7684\u4e3b\u5bb0\uff0climitless space is still space\u56e0\u4e3a\u65e0\u9650\u7684\u7a7a\u95f4\u4ecd\u65e7\u662f\u7a7a\u95f4\u3002Now young people or adult you need to understand our God is that great \u5e74\u8f7b\u4eba\u6216\u6210\u5e74\u4eba\uff0c\u4f60\u4eec\u8981\u77e5\u9053\u6211\u4eec\u795e\u662f\u8fd9\u4e48\u4f1f\u5927\u7684\u4e00\u4e2a\u795e\u3002<\/p>\n<p>If you don&#8217;t put your faith in such a large and great God \u5982\u679c\u4f60\u4eec\u4e0d\u628a\u4f60\u4eec\u7684\u4fe1\u5fc3\u653e\u5728\u8fd9\u4e48\u4f1f\u5927\u7684\u795e\u5f53\u4e2d you are gonna run into trouble \u4f60\u4f1a\u9047\u5230\u5f88\u591a\u7684\u56f0\u96be\uff0cyour faith will crumble\u4f60\u7684\u4fe1\u5fc3\u4f1a\u7834\u788e\uff0cif your faith in Jesus Christ is only for your own good \u5047\u5982\u4f60\u4eec\u5bf9\u8036\u7a23\u57fa\u7763\u7684\u4fe1\u5fc3\u53ea\u662f\u4e3a\u7740\u81ea\u5df1\u7684\u5229\u76ca\uff0cyou say why do you have to tell me God is so great and God demands that I worship him \u4f60\u53ef\u80fd\u4f1a\u8bf4\uff0c\u6797\u7267\u5e08\u4e3a\u4ec0\u4e48\u4f60\u8981\u544a\u8bc9\u6211\u4eec\u795e\u662f\u5982\u6b64\u7684\u4f1f\u5927\uff0c\u8981\u6211\u4eec\u53bb\u656c\u62dc\u7942\u5462\uff1fBecause the Bible tells me that your deepest need is worship \u56e0\u4e3a\u5723\u7ecf\u544a\u8bc9\u6211\uff0c\u4f60\u4eec\u5fc3\u91cc\u9762\u6700\u6df1\u5904\u7684\u9700\u8981\u662f\u656c\u62dc\u3002I don&#8217;t have to prove that \u6211\u5e76\u4e0d\u9700\u8981\u5411\u4f60\u4eec\u8bc1\u660e\u8fd9\u4ef6\u4e8b\u60c5\uff0cBible tells me that\u56e0\u4e3a\u5723\u7ecf\u544a\u8bc9\u6211\u4e86\u3002I&#8217;m only offering you the greatest God you could possibly worship\u3002\u6211\u53ea\u4e0d\u8fc7\u662f\u628a\u6700\u4f1f\u5927\u7684\u795e\u4ecb\u7ecd\u7ed9\u4f60\u4eec\u53ef\u4ee5\u656c\u62dc\u7942\u3002<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s continue. \u6211\u4eec\u518d\u7ee7\u7eed\u4e0b\u53bb\uff0cverse 24 at the end\uff0cdoes not live in temples made by man\u6240\u4ee5\u7942\u5c31\u4e0d\u4f4f\u5728\u4eba\u6240\u6240\u9020\u7684\u6bbf\u91cc\u9762 Lord is he served by human hands as though he needed anything since he himself gave gifts to all mankind life and breath and time\u4e0a\u5e1d\u662f\u65f6\u95f4\u7684\u4e3b\u5bb0\uff0che is Lord of space\u7942\u662f\u7a7a\u95f4\u7684\u4e3b\u5bb0\u3002<\/p>\n<p>Next he does not need our worship\u4e0b\u9762\u662f\u7942\u4e0d\u9700\u8981\u6211\u4eec\u656c\u62dc\u3002Read it verse 24 and 25\uff0c\u8bfb24\u8ddf25\u8282\uff0cnow does God want us to worship him \u4e0a\u5e1d\u8981\u4e0d\u8981\u6211\u4eec\u656c\u62dc\u7942\u5462\uff1fYes\uff0che wants us to worship him \u662f\u7684\uff0c\u7942\u8981\u6211\u4eec\u656c\u62dc\u7942\uff0cGod commands us to worship him \u4e0a\u5e1d\u547d\u4ee4\u6211\u4eec\u53bb\u656c\u62dc\u7942\uff0cGod delights in our worship\u4e0a\u5e1d\u559c\u60a6\u6211\u4eec\u656c\u62dc\u7942\u3002and when we worship through Jesus \u6240\u4ee5\u5f53\u6211\u4eec\u900f\u8fc7\u4e3b\u8036\u7a23\u6765\u656c\u62dc\u7942\u7684\u65f6\u5019\uff0cGod accepts our worship \u6240\u4ee5\u63a5\u53d7\u6211\u4eec\u7684\u656c\u62dc\u3002<\/p>\n<p>but brothers and sisters our God is so great he does not need our worship\u4f46\u662f\u5f1f\u5144\u59ca\u59b9\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u7684\u795e\u662f\u90a3\u4e48\u7684\u4f1f\u5927\uff0c\u7942\u4e0d\u9700\u8981\u6211\u4eec\u7684\u656c\u62dc\uff0cit is not because God is lonely \u5e76\u4e0d\u662f\u8bf4\u4e0a\u5e1d\u5f88\u5b64\u5355or insecure \u6216\u8005\u662f\u8bf4\u7942\u4e0d\u5e73\u5b89\uff0che wants people to give him a pat on the shoulder\u60f3\u8981\u4eba\u62cd\u62cd\u7942\u7684\u80a9\u5934\uff0c\u9f13\u52b1\u4e00\u4e0b\u3002frankly some of us don&#8217;t really understand why we worship God \u5766\u7387\u5730\u8bf4\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u4e2d\u95f4\u6709\u4e9b\u4eba\u4e0d\u771f\u7684\u660e\u767d\u4e3a\u4ec0\u4e48\u6211\u4eec\u8981\u656c\u62dc\u795e\u3002we think that when we worship God we&#8217;ll get something out of it\u6211\u4eec\u4ee5\u4e3a\u656c\u62dc\u795e\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u53ef\u80fd\u4ece\u4e2d\u83b7\u5f97\u4ec0\u4e48\u4e1c\u897f\u3002God does not need our worship\uff0c\u4e0a\u5e1d\u4e0d\u9700\u8981\u6211\u4eec\u656c\u62dc\u7942\uff0cbut he commands us to worship him\u4f46\u662f\u7942\u547d\u4ee4\u6211\u4eec\u656c\u62dc\u7942 but that should affect our attitude when we worship \u90a3\u5e94\u8be5\u5f71\u54cd\u5230\u6211\u4eec\u656c\u62dc\u65f6\u7684\u6001\u5ea6\u3002Don&#8217;t think of God as your equal\u4e0d\u8981\u4ee5\u4e3a\u795e\u662f\u4e0e\u6211\u4eec\u540c\u7b49\u7684\u3002<\/p>\n<p>we&#8217;re gonna move on to verse 26\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u7ee7\u7eed\u4e0b\u770b 26\u8282\uff0c\u201cAnd he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth\uff0chaving determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place\uff0c\u4ed6\u4ece\u4e00\u672c\u9020\u51fa\u4e07\u65cf\u7684\u4eba\uff0c\u4f4f\u5728\u5168\u5730\u4e0a\uff0c\u5e76\u4e14\u9884\u5148\u5b9a\u51c6\u4ed6\u4eec\u7684\u5e74\u9650\u548c\u6240\u4f4f\u7684\u7586\u754c\u201d\u3002This
