H. Henry and other representatives of the so-called neo-evangelical movement.\u7279\u522b\u662fCarl Henry\uff08\u5361\u5c14\u00b7\u4ea8\u5229\uff09\u548c\u5176\u4ed6\u8fd9\u4e9b\u6240\u8c13\u65b0\u798f\u97f3\u6d3e\u8fd0\u52a8\u7684\u4ee3\u8868\u4eba\u7269\uff0c\u4ed6\u4eec\u7684\u6279\u8bc4\u662f\u7279\u522b\u7684\u5f3a\u70c8\u7684\u3002It has prompted an equally vehement defense of fundamentalism and a correlative attack on neo-evangelicalism by men like Carl McIntire.\u8fd9\u4e2a\u5c31\u5f15\u53d1\u51fa\u57fa\u8981\u6d3e\u4eba\u58eb\u4e3a\u81ea\u5df1\u7684\u8fa9\u62a4\uff0c\u540c\u65f6\uff0c\u597d\u50cfCarl McIntire\u8fd9\u4e9b\u7684\u57fa\u8981\u6d3e\u4eba\u58eb\uff0c\u4ed6\u4eec\u4f1a\u653b\u51fb\u3001\u6279\u8bc4\u65b0\u798f\u97f3\u6d3e\u4e3b\u4e49\u3002What attitude should Calvinism show in this raging debate?\u5728\u8fd9\u4e2a\u5f3a\u70c8\u7684\u8fa9\u8bba\u4e2d\uff0c\u52a0\u5c14\u6587\u4e3b\u4e49\u7684\u6001\u5ea6\u5e94\u8be5\u662f\u5982\u4f55\u5462\uff1f<\/p>\n<p><strong>No. 1. <\/strong><strong>\u7b2c\u4e00\u65b9\u9762\u7684\u56de\u5e94\u3002<\/strong>Though we may be justifiably critical of many features of fundamentalism as a historical movement\uff0c\u867d\u7136\u6211\u4eec\u6709\u5927\u6761\u9053\u7406\u6279\u8bc4\u5386\u53f2\u4e0a\u7684\u57fa\u8981\u6d3e\u7684\u8fd0\u52a8\uff0c\u4ed6\u4eec\u5f88\u591a\u7684\u7279\u70b9\uff0cthese criticism should not cloud our basic agreement with fundamentalism\u2019s firm stand on the side of scriptural theology and the historic Christian faith.\u8fd9\u4e9b\u7684\u6279\u8bc4\u4e0d\u5e94\u8be5\u51b2\u6de1\u6211\u4eec\u57fa\u672c\u4e0a\u4e0e\u57fa\u8981\u6d3e\u662f\u7ad9\u5728\u540c\u4e00\u8fb9\u7684\uff0c\u4ed6\u4eec\u575a\u51b3\u5730\u7ef4\u62a4\u5723\u7ecf\u7684\u795e\u5b66\u548c\u5386\u53f2\u4e0a\u7eaf\u6b63\u7684\u57fa\u7763\u6559\u4fe1\u4ef0\u3002<\/p>\n<p>Machen himself had theological difficulties in being identified with many fundamentalist-oriented programs\uff0c\u6885\u94a6\u4ed6\u81ea\u5df1\u4e5f\u4e0d\u60c5\u613f\u88ab\u8ba4\u540c\u4e3a\u57fa\u8981\u6d3e\uff0c\u4ed6\u4e0d\u80fd\u8ba4\u540c\u5f88\u591a\u57fa\u8981\u6d3e\u7684\u9879\u76ee\u6216\u8005\u4e8b\u5de5\u7684\uff0cbut\uff0cwhile \u201cnot precisely described as a fundamentalist at all\uff0c\u201d was wiling nevertheless to be recognized as a champion of fundamentalism\uff0c\u867d\u7136\u6885\u94a6\u8ba4\u4e3a\u522b\u4eba\u4e0d\u662f\u76f4\u63a5\u7684\u79f0\u4ed6\u4e3a\u57fa\u8981\u6d3e\u4e3b\u4e49\u8005\uff0c\u4e0d\u8fc7\u4ed6\u4ecd\u7136\u662f\u613f\u610f\u88ab\u522b\u4eba\u770b\u4e3a\u662f\u5021\u5bfc\u6216\u8005\u652f\u6301\u57fa\u8981\u6d3e\u7684\uff0cin terms of its devotion to the Christianity of the Bible.\u56e0\u4e3a\u57fa\u8981\u6d3e\u662f\u70ed\u70c8\u7684\u652f\u6301\u5723\u7ecf\u7684\u57fa\u7763\u6559\u4fe1\u4ef0\u3002<\/p>\n<p>The fear of McIntire and others\uff0cexpressed in their strong criticism of neo-evangelicalism\uff0cwould seem to come in part from their fear that much contemporary criticism by conservatives is pressing too unfairly the negations and novelties of fundamentalism\uff0cwhile stressing too little their common bond in the central and indispensable core of Christian faith.\u90a3\u4e3a\u4ec0\u4e48McIntire\u8fd8\u6709\u5176\u4ed6\u4eba\u58eb\u4f1a\u62c5\u5fc3\uff0c\u4e3a\u4ec0\u4e48\u4ed6\u4eec\u8fd9\u4e48\u5f3a\u70c8\u7684\u6279\u8bc4\u65b0\u798f\u97f3\u6d3e\u8fd0\u52a8\u5462\uff1f\u5176\u4e2d\u4e00\u4e9b\u7684\u539f\u56e0\uff0c\u662f\u56e0\u4e3a\u4ed6\u4eec\u6050\u6015\u8fd9\u4e9b\u4fdd\u5b88\u7684\u65b0\u798f\u97f3\u6d3e\u4eba\u58eb\u6279\u8bc4\u57fa\u8981\u6d3e\u7684\u65f6\u5019\uff0c\u53ef\u80fd\u662f\u5bf9\u57fa\u8981\u6d3e\u4e00\u4e9b\u7684\u6bd4\u8f83\u65b0\u7684\u6216\u8005\u8d1f\u9762\u7684\u56e0\u7d20\u6279\u8bc4\u7684\u8fc7\u5206\u4e86\uff0c\u800c\u8fd9\u4e9b\u65b0\u798f\u97f3\u6d3e\u4eba\u58eb\u53ef\u80fd\u4e0d\u591f\u5f3a\u8c03\u4ed6\u4eec\u4e0e\u57fa\u8981\u6d3e\u5171\u540c\u7684\u8fde\u63a5\uff08\u5c31\u662f\u8bf4\uff0c\u5728\u57fa\u7763\u6559\u4fe1\u4ef0\u7684\u6838\u5fc3\u548c\u4e0d\u53ef\u6216\u7f3a\u7684\u4fe1\u4ef0\u4e0a\u7684\u8ba4\u540c\uff09\u3002There are many virtues to the argument.\u8fd9\u79cd\u57fa\u8981\u6d3e\u4eba\u58eb\u7684\u62c5\u5fc3\u662f\u5f88\u6709\u7406\u7531\u7684\u3002<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><strong> 2.<\/strong><strong>\u7b2c\u4e8c\u4e2a\u56de\u5e94<\/strong>\u3002At the same time\uff0c\u4e0e\u6b64\u540c\u65f6\uff0cthere may be some virtue also in speaking of the later stages of fundamentalism (particularly after the 1930&#8217;s) as distinct enough in temperament and program\uff0c\u53ef\u80fd\u6211\u4eec\u6709\u8db3\u591f\u7684\u7406\u7531\u770b\u57fa\u8981\u6d3e\u540e\u6765\u7684\u53d1\u5c55\uff08\u7279\u522b\u662f1930\u5e74\u4ee3\u4e4b\u540e\u7684\u53d1\u5c55\uff09\uff0c\u5728\u6574\u4e2a\u7684\u6c14\u8d28\u4e0a\u548c\u4e8b\u5de5\u4e0a\u662f\u4e0e\u524d\u9762\u4e0d\u540c\uff0cto merit a name distinct enough to separate its emphasis from the early fundamentalism.\u4ee5\u81f3\u4e8e\u6211\u4eec\u53ef\u4ee5\u7ed9\u5b83\u4e00\u4e2a\u65b0\u7684\u540d\u79f0\uff0c\u4e0e\u524d\u9762\u7684\u6bd4\u8f83\u65e9\u7684\u57fa\u8981\u6d3e\u8fd0\u52a8\u5206\u522b\u51fa\u6765\u3002Perhaps neo-fundamentalism could describe this later stage as effectively as any other phrase.\u53ef\u80fd\u6211\u4eec\u53ef\u4ee5\u79f0\u8fd9\u4e2a\u540e\u6765\u7684\u57fa\u8981\u6d3e\u4e3a\u65b0\u57fa\u8981\u6d3e\u3002<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>In line with this suggestion\uff0c\u6839\u636e\u8fd9\u4e2a\u5efa\u8bae\uff0cthe criticism of neo-evangelicalism may be more a criticism of neo-fundamentalism than of fundamentalism.\u6839\u636e\u8fd9\u4e2a\u5efa\u8bae\uff0c\u65b0\u798f\u97f3\u6d3e\u4eba\u58eb\u5bf9\u57fa\u8981\u6d3e\u7684\u6279\u5224\u53ef\u80fd\u4e3b\u8981\u662f\u5bf9\u65b0\u57fa\u8981\u6d3e\u7684\u6279\u5224\u800c\u591a\u8fc7\u662f\u5bf9\u57fa\u8981\u6d3e\u7684\u6279\u5224\u3002And the vigorous defense of fundamentalism by men like Carl Mclntire\uff0c\u90a3\u4e48\uff0c\u597d\u50cfCarl Mclntire\u8fd9\u4e9b\u4eba\u58eb\uff0c\u5bf9\u57fa\u8981\u6d3e\u7684\u5f3a\u70c8\u7684\u7ef4\u62a4\uff0cmaybe misunderstood\uff0c\u53ef\u80fd\u88ab\u4eba\u8bef\u89e3\u7684\uff0cbecause he does not seem as willing to recognize any differences significant enough to differentiate the movement called fundamentalism from a movement which might be called neo-fundamentalism.\u56e0\u4e3a\u4ed6\u53ef\u80fd\u4e0d\u613f\u610f\u627f\u8ba4\u57fa\u8981\u6d3e\u548c\u65b0\u57fa\u8981\u6d3e\u4e4b\u95f4\u662f\u6709\u533a\u522b\u7684.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><strong> 3. <\/strong><strong>\u7b2c\u4e09\u65b9\u9762\u7684\u56de\u5e94\u3002<\/strong>This neo-fundamentalist stage has amplified some of the danger spots in early fundamentalism\uff0cwhat Carl Henry calls \u201cthe fundamentalist reduction.\u201d\u8fd9\u79cd\u7684\u65b0\u57fa\u8981\u6d3e\u7684\u9636\u6bb5\uff0c\u662f\u6269\u5927\u4e86\u4e00\u4e9b\u65e9\u671f\u57fa\u8981\u6d3e\u7684\u76f2\u70b9\uff0c\u5361\u5c14\u00b7\u4ea8\u5229\u79f0\u8fd9\u4e2a\u4f5c\u57fa\u8981\u6d3e\u4eba\u58eb\u7684\u201c\u7ea6\u5316\u4e3b\u4e49\u201d\u3002Machen (and his colleagues at Westminster Seminary) also feared pietistic novelties and perfectionist vagaries and distinguished within fundamentalism between biblical Christianity and certain XVII<\/strong><strong>\u7b2c18\u7ae0\uff0cNeo-Fundamentalism\u65b0\u57fa\u8981\u4e3b\u4e49<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The movement called fundamentalism in the early twentieth century in America was a group united around the proclamation and defense of biblical Christianity.\u5728\u4e8c\u5341\u4e16\u7eaa\u65e9\u671f\u7684\u7f8e\u56fd\uff0c\u88ab\u79f0\u4e3a\u57fa\u8981\u4e3b\u4e49\u7684\u8fd0\u52a8\u662f\u8054\u5408\u8981\u5ba3\u8bb2\u7ef4\u62a4\u5408\u4e4e\u5723\u7ecf\u7684\u57fa\u7763\u6559\u7684\u3002But it was a union composed of very diversified elements.\u53ef\u662f\u8fd9\u4e2a\u7684\u8054\u5408\u8fd0\u52a8\u7531\u5404\u79cd\u975e\u5e38\u4e0d\u540c\u7684\u4efd\u5b50\u6240\u7ec4\u6210\u3002It had made allies of pietism and dispensationalism\uff0c\u656c\u8654\u4e3b\u4e49\u548c\u65f6\u4ee3\u8bba\u7ed3\u76df\uff0cCalvinism and Arminianism\uff0c\u52a0\u5c14\u6587\u4e3b\u4e49\u548c\u963f\u7c73\u5ff5\u4e3b\u4e49\u7ed3\u76df\uff0cepiscopacy and independency.\u751a\u81f3\u4e4e\u5723\u5de5\u4f1a\u4eba\u58eb\u548c\u72ec\u7acb\u6559\u4f1a\u4eba\u58eb\u7ed3\u76df\u3002<\/p>\n<p>Especially in the decades immediately preceding World War II\uff0c\u7279\u522b\u5728\u7b2c\u4e8c\u6b21\u4e16\u754c\u5927\u6218\u4e4b\u524d\u7684\u51e0\u5341\u5e74\uff0cthose explosive elements\uff0ckept settled through struggle against a common foe\uff0cnow began to bubble and grate against one new mixture\uff0cor at least\uff0cenough of a change in the combination of the old elements to produce another emphasis within \u201cconservative\u201d shift we choose to call neo-fundamentalism.\u6211\u4eec\u9009\u62e9\u79f0\u8fd9\u4e2a\u65b0\u7684\u6f6e\u6d41\u4e3a\u65b0\u57fa\u8981\u4e3b\u4e49\u3002<\/p>\n<p>Several factors contributed to this change in the face of fundamentalism.\u57fa\u8981\u4e3b\u4e49\u7684\u9762\u5b54\u7684\u6539\u53d8\u6709\u51e0\u4e2a\u539f\u56e0\u7684\u3002Fundamentalism began to be more rigidly identified with dispensationalism.\u57fa\u8981\u6d3e\u9010\u6e10\u7684\u5b8c\u5168\u4e0e\u65f6\u4ee3\u8bba\u8ba4\u540c\u3002Dispensationalists themselves were willing to make this identification.\u65f6\u4ee3\u8bba\u4eba\u58eb\u662f\u613f\u610f\u8fd9\u6837\u5b50\u7b49\u540c\u7684\u3002In fact\uff0csome elements even were prone to label non-dispensationalists as incipient liberals.\u751a\u81f3\u4e4e\u6709\u4e9b\u7684\u65f6\u4ee3\u8bba\u4eba\u58eb\u79f0\u975e\u65f6\u4ee3\u8bba\u4eba\u58eb\u4e3a\u9aa8\u5b50\u91cc\u7684\u81ea\u7531\u6d3e\u795e\u5b66\u4eba\u58eb\u3002This identification made the Calvinistic wing of the fundamentalist movement even more reluctant to associate themselves with the increasing fissure between dispensationalism and covenant theology was also helped considerably by an acrimonious debate among those conservative Presbyterians who had withdrawn from the northern Presbyterian Church to form a new debate arose over such issues as Christian liberty\uff0cpremillennialism\uff0cand colleagues at Westminster Seminary demanded strongly that dispensationalism be purged from the an attack on segment of the earlier fundamentalism\uff0cthe Calvinism of the Old Princeton Seminary (and now Westminster Seminary)\uff0cwas aligning itself more and more against dispensational of the major forces in fundamentalism now were dividing hesitancy of some Calvinistic elements to be classified as fundamentalists\uff0c\u5f88\u591a\u7684\u52a0\u5c14\u6587\u4e3b\u4e49\u8005\u65e2\u7136\u8d8a\u6765\u8d8a\u4e0d\u613f\u610f\u628a\u81ea\u5df1\u770b\u4e3a\u662f\u57fa\u8981\u6d3e\u4eba\u58eb\uff0cone deterrent to fundamentalist novelties was removed and the danger within earlier fundamentalism began to become more had earlier been merely possible danger now was becoming real addition\uff0c\u4e0d\u4f46\u5982\u6b64\uff0cchurch divisions within the Presbyterian and Baptist churches soured many conservatives who remained within the larger
