all emotions of the flesh are hostility against God\uff0c\u56e0\u4e3a\u65e2\u7136\u8089\u4f53\u7684\uff08\u8fd9\u91cc\u7ffb\u8bd1\u6210\uff09\u6c14\u8d28\uff0c\u6240\u6709\u8089\u4f53\u7684\u60c5\u611f\u6216\u8005\u662f\u60c5\u6b32\uff0c\u90fd\u662f\u4e0e\u795e\u4e3a\u4ec7\u7684\uff08\u7f578:7\uff09\u3002\u6240\u4ee5\uff0c\u670d\u4ece\u5f8b\u6cd5\u7684\u7b2c\u4e00\u6b65\uff0c\u5c31\u662f\u8981\u5f03\u7edd\u6076\u884c\u3002\u82f1\u6587\u662fthe first step toward obeying his law is to deny our own nature\u3002\u90a3\u8fd9\u4e2anature\u8fd9\u4e2a\u5b57\uff0c\u6211\u4f1a\u89c9\u5f97\u52a0\u5c14\u6587\u662f\u5728\u8bb2\u6211\u4eec\u6240\u8bb2\u7684\u7b2c\u4e8c\u4e2a\u5f8b\uff0c\u6216\u8005\u8bf4\u7b2c\u4e00\u4e2a\u4e9a\u5f53\u672c\u6027\u7684\u6b8b\u4f59\u3002Afterward, they designate the renewal by the fruits that follow from it.\u5f53\u6211\u4eec\u5f03\u7edd\u6216\u8005deny\uff0c\u5c31\u662f\u5426\u8ba4\u5c31\u662f\u8bf4say no\uff0c\u5411\u7f6a\uff0c\u5411concupiscence\uff0c\u5411\u6211\u4eec\u7b2c\u4e8c\u5f8b\u8bf4\u4e0d\uff0c\u4e0b\u4e00\u6b65\u662f\u4ec0\u4e48\u5462\uff1f\u5c31\u662f\u8981\u6d3b\u51fa\u3001\u66f4\u65b0\uff0c\u65b0\u751f\u547d\u7684\u679c\u5b50\u51fa\u6765\u3002\u662f\u4ec0\u4e48\u5462\uff1frighteousness, judgment, and mercy.\u516c\u4e49\u3001\u5224\u65ad\u548c\u601c\u60af\u3002It would not be enough duly to discharge such duties unless the mind itself and the heart first put on the inclination to righteousness, judgment, and mercy.\u00a0\u5149\u5728\u5916\u8868\u4e0a\u505a\u51fa\u8fd9\u4e9b\u4e49\u884c\u662f\u4e0d\u591f\u7684\uff0c\u9664\u975e\u6211\u4eec\u7684\u5fc3\u601d\u8ddf\u6211\u4eec\u7684\u5fc3\uff0c\u9996\u5148\u6709\u8fd9\u79cd\u7684\u613f\u671b\uff0c\u53bb\u8ffd\u6c42\u516c\u4e49\u3001\u5224\u65ad\u548c\u601c\u60af\u3002\u5224\u65ad\u4ec0\u4e48\u610f\u601d\u5462\uff0c\u540e\u9762\u4f1a\u6709\u89e3\u91ca\u7684\uff0c\u5728\u52a0\u5c14\u6587\u8bb2 \u6797\u540e7:11\u7684\u65f6\u5019\uff0c\u4ed6\u4f1a\u8bb2\u81ea\u8d23\u3001\u81ea\u8bc9\u7b49\u7b49\u3002<\/p>\n<p>That comes to pass when the Spirit of God so imbues our souls, steeped in his holiness, with both new thoughts and feelings,\u90a3\u4ec0\u4e48\u65f6\u5019\u6211\u4eec\u7684\u5fc3\u624d\u4f1a\u8ffd\u6c42\u516c\u4e49\u3001\u5224\u65ad\u8ddf\u601c\u60af\u5462\uff1f\u5c31\u662f\u5f53\u5723\u7075\u5b8c\u5168\u7684\u6e17\u900f\u6211\u4eec\u7684\u5fc3\uff0c\u4e0a\u5e1d\u7684\u7075\u628a\u7942\u7684\u5723\u6d01\u704c\u8f93\u5230\u6211\u4eec\u5fc3\u91cc\u9762\uff0c\u5723\u7075\u5b8c\u5168\u5145\u6ee1\u6211\u4eec\uff0c\u90a3\u6211\u4eec\u7684\u7075\u9b42steeped in his holiness,\u5b8c\u5168\u662fj\u6d78\u6deb\u5728\u4ed6\u7684\u5723\u6d01\u91cc\u9762\uff0c\u5c31\u597d\u50cf\u4e00\u4e2a\u8336\u5305\uff0c\u5728\u6d78\u8fd9\u4e2a\u6c34\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u628a\u8fd9\u4e2a\u6c34\u90fd\u5145\u6ee1\u7740\u5723\u7075\u7684\u5473\u9053\uff0c\u5723\u7075\u7684\u5723\u6d01\u3002\u5723\u7075\u5c31\u704c\u6ce8\u65b0\u7684\u601d\u60f3\u3001\u65b0\u7684\u60c5\u64cd\uff0cthat they can be rightly considered new.\u5728\u6211\u4eec\u91cc\u9762\u3002\u90a3\u6240\u4ee5\uff0c\u8fd9\u4e9b\u65b0\u7684\u601d\u60f3\u3001\u65b0\u7684\u60c5\u64cd\uff0c\u5f88\u6b63\u786e\u7684\u5e94\u8be5\u88ab\u79f0\u4e3a\u65b0\u7684\uff0c\u65b0\u7684\u601d\u60f3\u3001\u65b0\u7684\u611f\u89c9\uff0c\u5c31\u662f\u5723\u6d01\u7684\u611f\u89c9\uff0c\u5723\u6d01\u7684\u601d\u60f3\u3002Surely, as we are naturally turned away from God, unless self-denial precedes,\u662f\u7684\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u5f88\u81ea\u7136\u5730\u4f1a\u79bb\u5f03\u795e\u7684\uff0c\u9664\u975e\u820d\u5df1\u8d70\u5728\u524d\u5934\uff0cwe shall never approach that which is right.\u00a0\u4e0d\u820d\u5df1\u7684\u8bdd\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u5c31\u4e0d\u53ef\u80fd\u8fbe\u5230\u6b63\u4e49\u7684\u3002Therefore, we are very often enjoined to put off the old man, to renounce the world and the flesh,\u6240\u4ee5\u5723\u7ecf\u5e38\u5e38\u5429\u5490\u6211\u4eec\u8981\u9664\u53bb\uff0c\u5c31\u662f\u8131\u4e0b\u65e7\u4eba\uff0crenounce\u5f03\u7edd\u4e16\u754c\u548c\u8840\u6c14\uff0con the\u00a0\u8089\u4f53\uff0cto bid our evil desires farewell,\u8981\u50cf\u6211\u4eec\u90aa\u6076\u7684\u60c5\u611f\u548c\u60c5\u6b32\uff0c\u5c31\u662f\u90a3\u4e2a\u7b2c\u4e8c\u5f8b\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u8981\u5411\u5b83\u8bf4\uff1a\u518d\u89c1\uff0c\u4e0d\u662f\u518d\u89c1\uff0c\u4e0d\u518d\u89c1\u4e86\u3002\u6211\u4eec\u8981farewell\uff0c\u5f03\u7edd\u4ed6\u3002to be renewed in the spirit of our mind.\u6211\u4eec\u7684\u601d\u60f3\u8981\u6210\u4e3a\u65b0\u7684\u3002The very word \u201cmortification\u201d warns us how difficult it is to forget our previous nature.\u00a0\u6cbb\u6b7b\u8fd9\u4e2a\u5b57\uff0c\u5c31\u8b66\u544a\u6211\u4eec\u8981\u5fd8\u8bb0\u6211\u4eec\u4ee5\u524d\u7684\u6027\u60c5\uff0c\u4ee5\u524d\u7684\u4eba\u6027\u662f\u591a\u4e48\u7684\u56f0\u96be\u3002For from \u201cmortification\u201d we infer\uff0c\u6cbb\u6b7b\u8fd9\u4e2a\u5b57\u7684\u542b\u4e49\u5c31\u662f\u8bf4\uff0cwe are not conformed to the fear of God and do not learn the rudiments of piety, unless we are violently slain by the sword of the Spirit and brought to nought.\u6211\u4eec\u5047\u5982\u8981\u6548\u6cd5\u656c\u754f\u795e\uff0c\u5b66\u4e60\u6700\u57fa\u672c\u7684\u7231\u4e3b\u3001\u656c\u8654\u7684\u4e1c\u897f\u7684\u8bdd\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u5fc5\u987b\u5148\u88ab\u5723\u7075\u7684\u5b9d\u5251\uff0c\u5723\u7ecf\u6740\u4e86\u6211\u4eec\uff0c\u4f7f\u6211\u4eec\u6210\u4e3a\u65e0\u6709\uff0c\u5c31\u662f\u8bf4\u6cbb\u6b7b\u6211\u91cc\u9762\u7684\u7f6a\u3002As if God had declared that for us to be reckoned among his children our common nature must die!\u00a0\u5c31\u597d\u50cf\u795e\u5ba3\u544a:\u6211\u4eec\u82e5\u8981\u771f\u7684\u505a\u4ed6\u7684\u513f\u5973\u7684\u8bdd\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u5171\u6709\uff0c\u4eba\u7c7b\u5171\u6709\u7684\u4eba\u6027\uff0c\u5c31\u662f\u7f6a\u6027\uff0c\u5fc5\u987b\u8981\u6b7b\u6389\u3002<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u5728\u57fa\u7763\u91cc\u91cd\u751fRebirth there still remains in them a continuing occasion for struggle whereby they may be remains in a regenerate man a smoldering cinder of
