1John.\u7ea6\u7ff0\u4e00\u4e66\u7b2c\u4e09\u7ae0\u7b2c9\u8282\u6bd4\u8d77\u5176\u4ed6\u7684\u7ecf\u6587\u53c8\u591a\u4e86\u4e00\u6837\u7684\u610f\u4e49\u3002<\/p>\n<p>Not only is it stated that the person who is born again does not do sin,\u4e09\u7ae0\u7b2c9\u8282\u6240\u8bf4\u7684\u4e0d\u5355\u5355\u662f\u8bf4\u4e00\u4e2a\u91cd\u751f\u7684\u4eba\u4e0d\u72af\u7f6abut we are also informed of the reason why he does not sin.\u4f46\u662f\u4e5f\u544a\u8bc9\u6211\u4eec,\u8fd9\u4e2a\u4eba\u4e0d\u72af\u7f6a\u7684\u539f\u56e0\u662f\u4ec0\u4e48\u3002He does not sin because God\u2019s seed abides in him.\u4ed6\u4e0d\u72af\u7f6a\uff0c\u56e0\u4e3a\u4e0a\u5e1d\u7684\u9053\u79cd\u4f4f\u5728\u4ed6\u91cc\u9762\u3002Now this abiding seed alludes clearly to the divine impartation which took place in the divine begetting.\u8fd9\u4e2a\u957f\u5b58\u5728\u4ed6\u91cc\u9762\u7684\u9053\u79cd\uff0c\u5f53\u7136\u5c31\u662f\u6307\u5728\u795e\u518d\u751f\u4e00\u4e2a\u4eba\u7684\u65f6\u5019\uff0c\u7942\u6240\u8d50\u7ed9\u4eba\u7684\u662f\u4ec0\u4e48\u3002<\/p>\n<p>It is this divine begetting with its abiding consequence that is the cause of not doing sin.\u5c31\u662f\u4e0a\u5e1d\u7684\u518d\u751f\u4f34\u968f\u7740\u957f\u5b58\u7684\u540e\u679c\uff0c\u8fd9\u4e2a\u5c31\u662f\u4e0d\u72af\u7f6a\u7684\u539f\u56e0\u3002Hence regeneration is logically and causally prior to the not doing sin.\u56e0\u6b64\u91cd\u751f\u5c31\u662f\u4e0d\u72af\u7f6a\u7684\u6210\u56e0\uff0c\u662f\u5728\u4e0d\u72af\u7f6a\u4e4b\u5148\u7684\uff0c\u903b\u8f91\u4e0a\u662f\u6392\u5728\u524d\u9762\u7684\u3002And, again, John tells us that \u201che can not sin because he is begotten of God,\u201d\u7ea6\u7ff0\u518d\u4e00\u6b21\u544a\u8bc9\u6211\u4eec\uff1a\u4ed6\u4e0d\u72af\u7f6a\uff0c\u4e0d\u80fd\u72af\u7f6a\uff0c\u56e0\u4e3a\u4ed6\u662f\u7531\u4e0a\u5e1d\u6240\u751f\u7684\uff0can express statement to the effect that regeneration is the <em>cause <\/em>why this person cannot sin.\u76f4\u63a5\u660e\u8bf4\u7684\u544a\u8bc9\u6211\u4eec\uff1a\u91cd\u751f\u5c31\u662f\u8fd9\u4e2a\u4eba\u4e0d\u80fd\u72af\u7f6a\u7684\u6210\u56e0\uff0ccause\u6216\u8005\u662f\u7684\u539f\u56e0\u3002So the reason why a person cannot sin\u6240\u4ee5\u4e00\u4e2a\u4eba\u4e0d\u80fd\u591f\u72af\u7f6a\u7684\u539f\u56e0\uff0cis that\u00a0 that person is regenerated&#8211;\u662f\u56e0\u4e3a\u8fd9\u4e2a\u4eba\u662f\u91cd\u751f\u4e86\uff0cthe other can not be reversed.\u6b21\u5e8f\u662f\u4e0d\u53ef\u4ee5\u5012\u8fc7\u6765\u7684\u3002In this verse, therefore, we are informed that\u56e0\u6b64\u8fd9\u4e00\u8282\u7ecf\u6587\u5c31\u544a\u8bc9\u6211\u4eec<\/p>\n<p>Regeneration is the source and the explanation of the breach with sin which is characteristic of every regenerate person.\u91cd\u751f\u5c31\u662f\u4e0e\u7f6a\u9694\u7edd\u7684\u6765\u6e90\u548c\u89e3\u91ca,\u8fd9\u4e2a\u4e0e\u7f6a\u9694\u7edd\u662f\u6bcf\u4e00\u4f4d\u91cd\u751f\u4e86\u7684\u4eba\u7684\u7279\u70b9\u3002<\/p>\n<p>We have found thus in 1John 3:9 a principal\u56e0\u6b64\u6211\u4eec\u5728\u7ea6\u7ff0\u4e00\u4e66\u7b2c\u4e09\u7ae0\u7b2c9\u8282\u627e\u5230\u4e86\u4e00\u4e2a\u7684\u539f\u5219which must apply to the other texts cited in this epistle\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u4e5f\u8981\u628a\u8fd9\u4e2a\u539f\u5219\u5e94\u7528\u5728\u7ea6\u7ff0\u4e00\u4e66\u5176\u4ed6\u7684\u7ecf\u6587,even though the principle is not expressly mentioned in these other texts. \u867d\u7136\u8fd9\u4e2a\u539f\u5219\u5728\u5176\u4ed6\u7684\u7ecf\u6587\u6ca1\u6709\u76f4\u63a5\u8bf4\u51fa\u3002The inference is confirmed when we compare 3:9 with 5:18.\u5047\u5982\u6211\u4eec\u628a\u7b2c\u4e09\u7ae0\u7b2c\u4e5d\u8282\u4e0e\u7b2c\u4e94\u7ae018\u8282\u6bd4\u8f83\u4e00\u4e0b\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u53ef\u4ee5\u770b\u5230\u8fd9\u79cd\u7684\u63a8\u8bba\u662f\u6b63\u786e\u7684\u3002The latter reads:\u7ea6\u7ff0\u4e00\u4e66\u7b2c\u4e94\u7ae018\u8282\u662f\u8fd9\u6837\u8bf4\u7684: \u201cWe know that everyone who is begotten of God does not sin, but he who has been begotten of God keeps himself, and the evil one does not touch him.\u201d\u7b2c\u4e94\u7ae018\u8282\u8bf4\uff1a\u201c\u6211\u4eec\u77e5\u9053\u51e1\u4ece\u4e0a\u5e1d\u751f\u7684\u5fc5\u4e0d\u72af\u7f6a\uff0c\u4ece\u4e0a\u5e1d\u751f\u7684\uff0c\u75c5\u4fdd\u5b88\u81ea\u5df1\uff0c\u90a3\u6076\u8005\u4e5f\u5c31\u65e0\u6cd5\u5bb3\u4ed6\u3002\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The thought here is very closely similar to that in 3:9 .\u8fd9\u91cc\u7684\u601d\u60f3\u4e09\u7ae0\u7b2c\u4e5d\u8282\u6240\u8bb2\u7684\u662f\u975e\u5e38\u9760\u8fd1\u3001\u975e\u5e38\u76f8\u4f3c\u7684\u3002In fact it is in part identical, \u6709\u4e00\u90e8\u5206\u751a\u81f3\u662f\u5b8c\u5168\u4e00\u6837\uff0cwith a slight variation terms.\u53ea\u662f\u6240\u7528\u7684\u5b57\u773c\u6709\u4e00\u70b9\u70b9\u6539\u53d8\u3002If what we have found to be true in 3:9 applies to what is taught in 3:9,\u5047\u5982\u6211\u4eec\u770b\u52303:9\u7684\u771f\u7406\u662f\u4e3a\u5e94\u7528\u5728\u4e09\u7ae0\u7b2c9\u8282\u6240\u6559\u5bfc\u7684\u6559\u8bad\u7684\u8bdd,it must also apply to what is taught in 5:18. \u90a3\u4e48\u7b2c\u4e09\u7ae0\u7684\u771f\u7406\u4e5f\u5e94\u8be5\u5e94\u7528\u5728\u7b2c\u4e94\u7ae018\u8282\u6240\u6559\u5bfc\u7684\u3002And that means\u610f\u601d\u5c31\u662f\u8bf4\uff0cthe reason that why a person does not sin is that he is begotten of God\u4e00\u4e2a\u4eba\u4e0d\u72af\u7f6a\u7684\u539f\u56e0\u662f\u56e0\u4e3a\u4ed6\u662f\u7531\u4e0a\u5e1d\u6240\u751f\uff0cand the reason why the evil one does not touch a person is that he is begotten pf God.\u4e3a\u4ec0\u4e48\u8fd9\u4e2a\u6076\u8005\u4e0d\u80fd\u78b0\u4ed6\u5462\uff1f\u5c31\u662f\u56e0\u4e3a\u4ed6\u662f\u7531\u4e0a\u5e1d\u6240\u751f\u7684\u3002Regeneration is the logical and causal explanation of abstinence from sin \uff0c\u4e00\u4e2a\u4eba\u4e0d\u72af\u7f6a\uff0c\u91cd\u751f\u5c31\u662f\u90a3\u4e2a\u903b\u8f91\u4e0a\u7684\u89e3\u91ca\u3001\u6210\u56e0and freedom from the touch of the evil one\uff0c\u4e0d\u88ab\u90a3\u6076\u8005\u6240\u5f71\u54cd\u7684\u539f\u56e0\u4e5f\u662f\u4e00\u6837\u3002<\/p>\n<p>Of course it is not our purpose now to determine what this freedom from sin, this incapacity to sin, and this immunity to the invasion of the evil one precisely mean.\u6211\u4eec\u5728\u8fd9\u91cc\u6240\u8981\u51b3\u5b9a\u7684\u5e76\u4e0d\u662f\u8bf4\uff0c\u7a76\u7adf\u8fd9\u4e2a\u4e0d\u72af\u7f6a\u3001\u4e0d\u80fd\u72af\u7f6a\u548c\u4e0d\u53d7\u6076\u8005\u6240\u5e72\u6270\u8fd9\u4e9b\u7cbe\u51c6\u7684\u610f\u4e49\u662f\u4ec0\u4e48\u3002All we are interested in at present is\u6211\u4eec\u5728\u8fd9\u91cc\u4e3b\u8981\u7684\u5173\u6ce8\u4e43\u662f\u8bf4simply to establish the relation which regeneration sustains to these characteristic of the regenerate person.\u53ea\u4e0d\u8fc7\u662f\u8981\u5efa\u7acb\u91cd\u751f\u548c\u8fd9\u4e9b\u91cd\u751f\u7684\u4eba\u7684\u7279\u70b9\u4e4b\u95f4\u7684\u5173\u7cfb\u3002<\/p>\n<p>We are forced to the conclusion, therefore,\u56e0\u6b64\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u4e0d\u80fd\u4e0d\u505a\u51fa\u8fd9\u4e2a\u7ed3\u8bba\uff0con the basis of 3:9 and 5:18,\u6839\u636e\u7ea6\u4e003:9\u548c5:18\uff0cthat the relation established in these two texts applies to all the others also.\u57283:9\u548c5:18\u6240\u8bc1\u660e\u7684\u90a3\u4e2a\u91cd\u751f\u8ddf\u5176\u4ed6\u7684\u5173\u7cfball the others also\u90fd\u5e94\u7528\u5728\u7ea6\u7ff0\u4e00\u4e66\u5176\u4ed6\u7684\u7ecf\u6587\u3002In 2:29, we must infer,\u56e0\u6b64\u6211\u4eec\u5fc5\u987b\u63a8\u8bba\uff0c\u5728\u7ea6\u7ff0\u4e00\u4e66\u7b2c\u4e8c\u7ae029\u8282\uff0cthat the reason why the person in view does righteousness is that he is begotten of God.\u6211\u4eec\u5fc5\u987b\u63a8\u8bba\uff0c\u8fd9\u91cc2:29\u8fd9\u4e2a\u4eba\uff0c\u884c\u4e49\u662f\u56e0\u4e3a\u4ed6\u662f\u7531\u4e0a\u5e1d\u6240\u751f\u7684\u3002And likewise in the others. \u5176\u4ed6\u7ecf\u6587\u4e5f\u662f\u4e00\u6837\u3002<\/p>\n<p>In 4:7\u00a0 regeneration must be regarded as the cause of love,\u7b2c\u56db\u7ae0\u7b2c\u4e03\u8282\uff1a\u91cd\u751f\u5c31\u662f\uff0c\u4e3a\u4ec0\u4e48\u8fd9\u4e2a\u4eba\u7231(\u7231\u7684\u7f18\u7531)\uff0c in 5:1the cause of believe that Jesus is the Christ,\u7b2c\u4e94\u7ae0\u7b2c\u4e00\u8282\uff1a\u91cd\u751f\u5c31\u662f\u4e3a\u4ec0\u4e48\u67d0\u67d0\u4eba\u76f8\u4fe1\u8036\u7a23\u5c31\u662f\u57fa\u7763\uff0cin 5:4 the cause of overcoming the world,\u57285:4\uff0c\u4e3a\u4ec0\u4e48\u4e00\u4e2a\u4eba\u80dc\u8fc7\u4e16\u754c\uff0c\u662f\u56e0\u4e3a\u4ed6\u91cd\u751f\u4e86\u3002We have therefore a whole catalogue of virtues&#8211;\u8fd9\u91cc\u6211\u4eec\u7b80\u76f4\u662f\u4e00\u4e2a\u76ee\u5f55\u5217\u51fa\u5404\u79cd\u7eaa\u5f8b\u5904\u7684\u7f8e\u5fb7\uff0cbelieve that Jesus is the Christ\u76f8\u4fe1\u8036\u7a23\u662f\u57fa\u7763,overcoming the world \u80dc\u8fc7\u4e16\u754c\uff0cabstinence from sin,\u4e0d\u72af\u7f6a,self-control\u81ea\u6211\u8282\u5236\uff0cincapacity to sin,\u4e0d\u80fd\u72af\u7f6a\uff0cfreedom from the touch of the evil one,\u4e0d\u53d7\u5230\u90a3\u6076\u8005\u7684\u5e72\u6270,doing righteousness,\u884c\u516c\u4e49\uff0clove to God \u7231\u4e0a\u5e1d\uff0cand one\u2019s neighbour.\u7231\u4e00\u4e2a\u4eba\u7684\u90bb\u820d\u3002And they are all the fruit of are not born again by faith or repentance or conversion; means, when reduced to its simplest terms\uff0c\u5f53\u6211\u4eec\u7528\u6700\u7b80\u5355\u7684\u8bdd\u6765\u8bb2\u7684\u8bdd\uff0c\u610f\u601d\u5c31\u662f\u8bf4that the regenerate person is converted something which can be abstracted from the saving exercises which are its regeneration,\u4e0d\u5355\u5355\u662f\u8bf4\u540e\u679c\u65e9\u665a\u4f1a\u8ddf\u7740\u91cd\u751f\u800c\u6765but the fruit which are inseparable from regeneration.\u66f4\u52a0\u662f\u8bf4\u8fd9\u4e9b\u7684\u679c\u5b50\u90fd\u662f\u4e0e\u91cd\u751f\u4e0d\u53ef\u5206\u5272\u7684\u3002<\/p>\n<p>We are warned and advised, therefore,\u56e0\u6b64\u7ecf\u6587\u8b66\u544a\u6211\u4eec\uff0cthat while regeneration is the action of God and of God alone in this discourse to it is true that no one enters the kingdom of God except by regeneration\u5047\u5982\u6ca1\u6709\u4e00\u4e2a\u4eba\u53ef\u4ee5\u8fdb\u5165\u5230\u795e\u7684\u56fd\uff0c\u9664\u975e\u4ed6\u91cd\u751f\uff0c\u8fd9\u4e2a\u662f\u771f\u7406\u7684\u8bdd\uff0c(\u7ea63:3-5), it is also just a true that everyone who is born again has entered into the kingdom of God.\u53cd\u8fc7\u6765\u4e5f\u662f\u771f\u7406\uff0c\u5c31\u662f\u8bf4\uff0c\u6bcf\u4e00\u4f4d\u5df2\u7ecf\u91cd\u751f\u7684\u4eba\u5c31\u5df2\u7ecf\u8fdb\u5165\u5230\u4e0a\u5e1d\u7684\u56fd\u4e86\u3002If regeneration is the way of the entrance\u5047\u5982\u91cd\u751f\u5c31\u662f\u8fdb\u5165\u5230\u795e\u7684\u56fd\uff0c\u8fdb\u5165\u7684\u90a3\u6761\u8def\u7684\u8bdd\uff0cthen those regenerated have entered and\uff0c\u90a3\u4e48\u90a3\u4e9b\u5df2\u7ecf\u91cd\u751f\u7684\u4eba\u5c31\u5df2\u7ecf\u8fdb\u5230\u91cc\u9762\u4e86\uff0cand having entered, they see the kingdom of God and are members of the whole notion of what is involved in the application of redemption becomes so attenuated
