century\u4ece\u7b2c\u4e8c\u4e16\u7eaa\u521d\u5f00\u59cb\uff0cthese errors assumed a more developed God\uff0c\u6ee1\u8db3\u8fd9\u4e9b\u4e0e\u4e0a\u5e1d\u6709\u7740\u795e\u79d8\u4ea4\u901a\u7684\u613f\u671b\uff0cand the hope of securing a sure path for the soul in its ascent to the upper ward at death.\u4e5f\u4e3a\u4e86\u7075\u9b42\u627e\u4e00\u6761\u786e\u5b9a\u7684\u9053\u8def\uff0c\u6b7b\u7684\u65f6\u5019\u80fd\u591f\u4e0a\u5347\u5230\u66f4\u9ad8\u7684\u4e16\u754c\u53bb\u3002It is no wonder that this tendency itself to Christianity\uff0c\u96be\u602a\u8fd9\u4e9b\u7684\u8d8b\u5411\u5c31\u4e0e\u57fa\u7763\u6559\u8fde\u5728\u4e00\u8d77\uff0cwhich seemed to address itself to the same task with marked success.\u56e0\u4e3a\u4e4d\u770b\u4e4b\u4e0b\uff0c\u57fa\u7763\u6559\u597d\u50cf\u4e5f\u6ee1\u8db3\u8fd9\u4e9b\u7684\u9700\u8981\uff0c\u800c\u4e14\u86ee\u6210\u529f\u7684\u3002Moreover \uff0c\u4e0d\u4f46\u5982\u6b64\uff0cit found support in the claim of Christianity to be the absolute and universal that\u6211\u4eec\u53ef\u4ee5\u8fd9\u6837\u8bf4\uff0cGnosticism mistakenly sought to elevate Christianity to its rightful position\uff0c\u8bfa\u65af\u5e95\u4e3b\u4e49\u9519\u8bef\u5730\u53bb\u52aa\u529b\u63d0\u5347\u57fa\u7763\u6559\uff0c\u53eb\u5b83\u5f97\u5230\u5b83\u5e94\u5f97\u7684\u5730\u4f4d\uff0cthat of universal religion\uff0c\u5c31\u662f\u666e\u4e16\u5b97\u6559\uff0c\u5b83\u7684\u505a\u6cd5\u662f\uff0cby adapting it to the needs of all\uff0c\u8ba9\u57fa\u7763\u6559\u8fce\u5408\u5168\u4eba\u7c7b\u7684\u6240\u6709\u7684\u9700\u8981\uff0c and by interpreting it in harmony with the wisdom of the world Gnostic grappled with some of the deeper problems of philosophy and
