prominence to the truth of reason and sought to demonstrate their they evidently meant to give a correct interpretation of the truths of revelation\uff0c though they did not always fact that they thought to give a rational interpretation of Christianity cannot be held against them\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u4e0d\u5e94\u8be5\u8ba4\u4e3a\uff0c\u4ed6\u4eec\u8bd5\u56fe\u4e3a\u57fa\u7763\u6559\u505a\u51fa\u4e00\u4e2a\u7406\u6027\u7684\u8be0\u91ca\u662f\u9519\u8bef\u7684\uff0c for this does not consist exclusively in religious experiences\uff0c\u56e0\u4e3a\u8981\u89e3\u91ca\u57fa\u7763\u6559\uff0c\u4e0d\u80fd\u5b8c\u5168\u662f\u7528\u5b97\u6559\u7ecf\u9a8c\uff0cas Ritschlians sometimes seem to think\uff0c\u6b63\u5982\u9ece\u7b56\u5c14\u6d3e\u7684\u795e\u5b66\u5bb6\u4eec\u6709\u7684\u65f6\u5019\u662f\u8fd9\u6837\u7684\u8ba4\u4e3a\uff0c but also has an intellectual content\u57fa\u7763\u6559\u672c\u8eab\u6709\u7740\u5b83\u7684\u7406\u6027\u7684\u5185\u5bb9\uff0cand is a reasonable religion.\u4e5f\u662f\u4e00\u4e2a\u5408\u7406\u7684\u5b97\u6559\u3002It is quite evident from the writings of the Apologists \u4ece\u62a4\u6559\u58eb\u4eec\u7684\u8457\u4f5c\u6211\u4eec\u5f88\u660e\u663e\u770b\u5230\uff0cthat their conception of Christianity still suffered from the same defects and limitations as that of the Apostolic
