MODALISTIC MONARCHIANISM<\/strong><strong>\u5f62\u6001\u7684\u795e\u683c\u552f\u4e00\u8bba<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u8fd9\u4e2a\u662f\u7b2c\u4e8c\u79cd\u6216\u8005\u7b2c\u6d3e\u7684\u795e\u683c\u552f\u4e00\u8bba\uff0cSabellianism \u6492\u4f2f\u6d41\u4e3b\u4e49<\/p>\n<p>There was a second form of Monarchianism which was for more influential.\u8fd8\u6709\u7b2c\u4e8c\u79cd\u7684\u795e\u683c\u552f\u4e00\u8bba\uff0c\u5f71\u54cd\u5c31\u66f4\u52a0\u7684\u5e7f\u3002It was also interested in maintaining the unity of God\uff0c\u540c\u6837\u7684\uff0c\u4ed6\u5173\u6ce8\u4e8e\u7ef4\u6301\u4e0a\u5e1d\u662f\u4e00\uff0cbut its primary interest seems to have been Christologic\uff0c\u4f46\u662f\u5b83\u4f3c\u4e4e\u4e3b\u8981\u5173\u6ce8\u57fa\u7763\u8bba\uff0cnamely\uff0c the maintenance of the full divinity of Christ.\u610f\u601d\u5c31\u662f\u7ef4\u6301\u57fa\u7763\u5b8c\u5168\u662f\u795e\u3002It was called Modalistic Monarchianism\uff0c\u8fd9\u6d3e\u79f0\u4e3a\u5f62\u6001\u7684\u795e\u683c\u552f\u4e00\u8bba\uff0cbecause it conceived of the three Persons in the Godhead \u00a0as so many modes in which God manifested Himself;\u56e0\u4e3a\uff0c\u5b83\u8ba4\u4e3a\u795e\u683c\u91cc\u7684\u4e09\u4e2a\u4f4d\u683c\u662f\u4e0a\u5e1d\u663e\u793a\uff0c\u6216\u8005\u5f70\u663e\u7942\u81ea\u5df1\u7684\u4e09\u79cd\u7684\u5f62\u6001;was known as Patripassianism in the West\uff0c\u5728\u897f\u65b9\u7684\u6559\u4f1a\u79f0\u4e4b\u4e3a\u5723\u7236\u53d7\u82e6\u8bf4\uff0csince it held that the Father Himself had become incarnate in Christ\uff0c\u56e0\u4e3a\u5b83\u575a\u6301\u5723\u7236\u81ea\u5df1\u9053\u6210\u8089\u8eab\uff0c\u5723\u7236\u81ea\u5df1\u5728\u57fa\u7763\u91cc\u9053\u6210\u8089\u8eab\u4e86\uff0cand therefore also suffered in and with Him;\u56e0\u6b64\uff0c\u5723\u7236\u5728\u57fa\u7763\u91cc\u540c\u6837\u7684\u53d7\u82e6\uff0c\u4e0e\u57fa\u7763\u4e00\u540c\u53d7\u82e6; and was designated Sabellianism in the East\u4e1c\u65b9\u6559\u4f1a\u79f0\u4e4b\u4e3a\u6492\u4f2f\u6d41\u4e3b\u4e49after the name of its most famous representative. \u662f\u4ee5\u5b83\u6700\u8457\u540d\u7684\u4ee3\u8868\u4eba\u7269\u547d\u540d\u3002The great difference between it and Dynamic Monarchianism lay in the fact that it maintained the true divinity of Christ.\u5f62\u6001\u7684\u795e\u683c\u552f\u4e00\u8bba\u548c\u52a8\u6001\u7684\u795e\u683c\u552f\u4e00\u8bba\u91cd\u8981\u7684\u533a\u522b\u5728\u4e8e\u5f62\u6001\u7684\u795e\u683c\u552f\u4e00\u8bba\u575a\u6301\u57fa\u7763\u5b8c\u5168\u7684\u795e\u6027\u3002<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Praxeas and Noetus<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>\u5e15\u514b\u897f\u4e9a\u548c\u8bfa\u5a01\u7763<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tertuliian connects the origin of this sect with a certain Praxeas of whom little is known\uff0c\u7279\u571f\u826f\u8ba4\u4e3a\uff0c\u8fd9\u4e00\u6d3e\u7684\u8d77\u6e90\u662f\u6765\u81ea\u4e00\u4e2a\u4e0d\u51fa\u540d\u7684\u4eba\u7269\uff0cPraxeas \uff0c\u5e15\u514b\u897f\u4e9a\uff0cwhile Hippolytus claims claims\u800c\u897f\u5761\u5229\u8fbe\u8ba4\u4e3a\u5462\uff0cthat it originated in the teachings of Noetus and Smyrna.\u8ba4\u4e3a\u5f62\u6001\u7684\u795e\u683c\u552f\u4e00\u8bba\u662f\u4ee5\u5728\u58eb\u6bcf\u62ff\u7684\u8bfa\u5a01\u7763Noetus \u6240\u521b\u59cb\u7684\u3002However this may be\uff0c both were evidently instrumental in propagating it. \u4e0d\u8bba\u5982\u4f55\uff0c\u8fd9\u4e24\u4f4d\u90fd\u5728\u4f20\u64ad\u8fd9\u4e00\u6d3e\u7684\u601d\u60f3\uff0c\u90fd\u5f88\u91cd\u8981\u7684\u3002Praxeas was absolutely inimical to personal distinctions in God.\u5e15\u514b\u897f\u4e9a\u5b8c\u5168\u53cd\u5bf9\u5728\u795e\u683c\uff0c\u4e0d\u662f\u795e\u6027\uff0c\u5728\u795e\u683c\u91cc\u9762\u53ef\u4ee5\u6709\u4e0d\u540c\u4f4d\u683c\u7684\u533a\u5206\u3002Tertuliian says of him:\u7279\u571f\u826f\u8fd9\u6837\u6279\u5224\u4ed6: \u2018He drove out the Paraclete and crucified the Father.\u2019 \u201c\u4ed6\u628a\u4fdd\u60e0\u5e08\u8d76\u8d70\uff0c\u53c8\u628a\u5723\u7236\u9489\u5341\u5b57\u67b6\u3002\u201dPraxeas \uff0chowever\uff0c seems to have avoided the assertion that Father suffered\uff0c \u5e15\u514b\u897f\u4e9a\u597d\u50cf\u907f\u514d\u8bf4\u5723\u7236\u53d7\u82e6\uff0cbut Noetus did not hesitate at this point.\u53ef\u662f\u8bfa\u5a01\u7763\u5c31\u6beb\u4e0d\u8fdf\u7591\u5730\u8fd9\u6837\u8bf4\u4e86\u3002To quote the words of Hippolytus: \u5f15\u7528\u897f\u5761\u91cc\u8fbe\u7684\u8bdd: \u2018He said \u00a0Christ is Himself the Father\uff0c\u201c\u4ed6\uff0c\u5c31\u662f\u8bfa\u5a01\u7763\uff0c\u8bf4\uff1a\u57fa\u7763\u81ea\u5df1\u662f\u5723\u7236\uff0c and that the Father Himself was born and suffered and died.\u2019\u800c\u5723\u7236\u81ea\u5df1\u8bde\u751f\u3001\u53d7\u82e6\u3001\u6b7b\u4e86\u3002\u201dAccording to the same Church Father\u6839\u636e\u540c\u4e00\u4f4d\u6559\u7236\uff0c\u5c31\u662f\u897f\u6ce2\u7406\u8fbehe even made a bold assertion \u8bfa\u5a01\u7763\u751a\u81f3\u4e4e\u5927\u80c6\u5730\u5ba3\u79f0\u8bf4\u7684that the Father by changing the mode of his being literally became His own Son.\u7236\u4e0a\u5e1d\u6539\u53d8\u4e86\u7942\u7684\u5b58\u6709\u7684\u5f62\u6001\uff0c\u800c\u771f\u6b63\u7684\u6210\u4e3a\u7942\u81ea\u5df1\u7684\u513f\u5b50\u4e86\u3002The statement of Noetus referred to runs as follows:\u897f\u6ce2\u7406\u8fbe\u6240\u6307\u7684\u8bfa\u5a01\u7763\u6240\u8bb2\u7684\u8bdd\u662f\u8fd9\u6837\u8bf4\u7684\uff0c\u8bfa\u5a01\u7763\u8fd9\u6837\u8bf4: \u2018When the Father had not yet been born\uff0cHe was rightly called the Father; \u201c\u5723\u7236\u8fd8\u6ca1\u6709\u8bde\u751f\u4e4b\u524d\uff0c\u79f0\u7942\u4f5c\u5723\u7236\u662f\u5bf9\u7684\uff0c\u6b63\u786e\u7684; but when it is pleased Him to submit to birth\uff0c\u4f46\u662f\u6309\u7167\u7942\u7684\u7f8e\u610f\uff0c\u5f53\u7942\u987a\u670d\u5728\u51fa\u751f\u4e4b\u540e\uff0c having been born\uff0c\u7942\u65e2\u7136\u51fa\u751f\u4e86\uff0cHe became the Son\uff0c\u7942\u5c31\u6210\u4e3a\u5723\u5b50\uff0c He of Himself and not of another.\u2019 \u5c31\u662f\u7942\u81ea\u5df1\u6210\u4e3a\u5723\u5b50\uff0c\u4e0d\u662f\u53e6\u5916\u4e00\u4f4d\u3002\u201d\u4e2d\u6587\u662f\u8fd9\u6837\u7ffb\u8bd1\uff1a\u201c\u4e24\u8005\u90fd\u662f\u7942\u81ea\u5df1\uff0c\u5e76\u4e0d\u662f\u53e6\u4e00\u4f4d\uff0c\u201d\u82f1\u6587\u662f\u8fd9\u6837\u8bf4\u7684\uff1ahaving been born\uff0c\u7942\u65e2\u7136\u51fa\u751f\u4e86\uff0cHe became the Son\uff0c\u7942\u5c31\u6210\u4e3a\u5723\u5b50\uff0cHe of Himself\u81ea\u5df1\u4eb2\u81ea\u7684\u6210\u4e3a\u5723\u5b50and not of another\u4e0d\u662f\u9760\u522b\u7684\u54ea\u4e00\u4f4d\u6210\u4e3a\u5723\u5b50\uff0c\u5c31\u662f\u7942\u81ea\u5df1\u4eb2\u81ea\u6210\u4e3a\u5723\u5b50\u3002<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Sabellius<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>\u6492\u4f2f\u6d41<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The most important representative of this sect was Sabellius.\u8fd9\u6d3e\u6700\u91cd\u8981\u7684\u4ee3\u8868\u4eba\u7269\u662f\u6492\u4f2f\u6d41\u3002Since only a few fragments of his writings are extant\uff0c\u65e2\u7136\u4ed6\u7684\u8457\u4f5c\u53ea\u6709\u5f88\u5c11\u7684\u7247\u6bb5\u5b58\u7559\uff0cit is hard to determine in detail just what he taught.\u6211\u4eec\u5c31\u5f88\u96be\u51b3\u5b9a\u4ed6\u7a76\u7adf\u6240\u6559\u5bfc\u7684\u7ec6\u8282\u662f\u4ec0\u4e48\u3002It is perfectly clear\uff0c\u53ef\u662f\u5f88\u660e\u663e\u7684\u4e00\u4ef6\u4e8b\u662f\uff0chowever\uff0c that he distinguished between the unity of the divine essence and the plurality of its manifestations\uff0c\u4ed6\u533a\u5206\u795e\u7684\u672c\u8d28\u7684\u4e00\u548c\u7942\u5f70\u663e\u7684\u4f17\uff0cwhich are represented as following one another like the parts of a drama.\u540e\u8005\u5c31\u662f\u7942\u7684\u5f70\u663e\u7684\u4e0d\u540c\u7684\u5f62\u6001\u5462\uff0c\u5c31\u597d\u50cf\u5728\u620f\u5267\u4e0d\u540c\u7684\u89d2\u8272\uff0c\u4e00\u4e2a\u8ddf\u7740\u4e00\u4e2a\u6765\u3002Sabellius indeed sometimes spoke of three divine persons\uff0c\u8bda\u7136\uff0c\u6492\u4f2f\u6d41\u6709\u65f6\u5019\u8bba\u9053\u4e09\u4e2a\u795e\u7684\u4f4d\u683c\uff0cbut then used the word \u2018person\u2019 in the original sense of the word\uff0c\u53ef\u662f\u4ed6\u7528\uff0cperson\u4f4d\u683c\u8fd9\u4e2a\u5b57\u662f\u7528\u539f\u672c\u8fd9\u4e2a\u5b57\u7684\u610f\u4e49\uff0cin which it signifies as a role of acting or a mode of manifestation.\u800c\u8fd9\u4e2a\u539f\u610f\u662f\u6307\u5728\u505a\u620f\u7684\u65f6\u5019\u6240\u626e\u6f14\u7684\u4e00\u4e2a\u89d2\u8272\uff0c\u6216\u8005\u4e00\u79cd\u663e\u793a\u7684\u5f62\u6001\u3002According to him\u6839\u636e\u6492\u4f2f\u6d41the names Father\uff0c Son and Holy Spirit\uff0c are simply designations of three different phases under which the one divine essence manifests itself.\u5723\u7236\u3001\u5723\u5b50\u3001\u5723\u7075\uff0c\u8fd9\u4e09\u4e2a\u540d\u5b57\u53ea\u4e0d\u8fc7\u662f\u6307\u4e00\u4e2a\u795e\u7684\u672c\u8d28\u5f70\u663e\u81ea\u5df1\u7684\u65f6\u5019\u4e0d\u540c\u7684\u9636\u6bb5\u3002God reveals Himself as Father in creation that in the giving of the law\uff0c\u4e0a\u5e1d\u5728\u521b\u9020\u4e16\u754c\u548c\u9881\u5e03\u5f8b\u6cd5\u7684\u65f6\u5019\uff0c\u7942\u4ee5\u5723\u7236\u542f\u793a\u4e86\u7942\u81ea\u5df1\uff0cas Son in the
